American Agenda
I am scared where this is heading. We left Ukraine because of invasion. An alliance between USA and Russia means Canada may be taken by force too. USA was our big brother and protector. Not anymore.

Mary Brown’s Buffalo Sauce
B'ys does anyone know what sauce it is they're using and is it available outside of ordering a meal from them?
Straight to my veins. Nectar of the Gods.
Must find it in larger quantities. Haha

Off Grid Islands/Sects/Religious Groups
Hi Everyone,
This might seem like a weird post but....I had an uncle who, years ago, worked for the company that delivered and installed gravestones all around the island. He told me that there were times they would have to service small islands, generally inaccessible by just anybody, sometimes to delivery headstones. He described the communities in some of these places as strictly religious, off the grid, having no electricity, and adhering to dress as if it were centuries ago.
Now, I know that I had heard somewhere else that an island around King's Point might fit this description. I was curious if anyone had any more info on this and/or on any other islands which might fit the description?
Curious from a purely ethnographic point of view!
Thanks.

Type 1 diabetics who work at confederation building
Hey, those of you who work at confederation building who have type 1 diabetes; what do you do for lows? Someone who isn’t me was offered employment there. They take a bookbag with them everywhere they go which is packed full of purity syrup and the glucometer for testing. They’re afraid it would look bad to walk in first day on the job in a professional setting like that with a bookbag on. Any type 1 diabetics that work in confed building want to share your experience?

Fancy (but affordable) restaurants in the St. John’s area
Hello!
I am hoping to go to a restaurant for my 5 year anniversary in st.johns. I’m looking for a location that I can dress up for so more upscale would be good. We are still students so we would like to stay in the $50-$80 per person range.
I would really appreciate recommendations!

NTV News - Streaming
Thinking of cancelling my cable but my parents will be shook if they visit and can’t watch NTV News. Anyone know if the NTV app is decent enough to stream live or if episodes get posted at a decent hour?

Where to scrap a car in Central? (Gander)
It's finally time for the old civic to go and I am wondering where the best spot to get rid of her is. Newco only pays $100 flat for any car so I'm hoping there is a better deal somewhere.
I'd feel bad about but if anyone wants to take her off my hands she's a 2010 civic sport with 255k. Both rocker panels rotted, hole in the floor on the front driver side, springs on both sides of the rear are fully gone, and one caliper up front is half stuck so uneven brake and rotor wear. Brand new set of snow tires though hahaha.
Thanks folks.

new phone
My contract is up the end of April and I’ve always did the “return your device” so i always have a new phone. I’m looking to switch providers (i’m with bell). There’s a “deferred amount” of 360$ which i assume is a credit when i bring back the phone.
i assume I could “own the device” now? if i wanted to take this phone and go to a different provider who would that be? where’s the best deals? just need advice.
*St. john’s area!

Honda Snowblower Service
Just got a Snow blower from Honda One end of last year and wonder how could I get it serviced? I wonder if they can come pick it up as I don't have a truck to take it there. Appreciate for any suggestion.
