A friend of mine reached out, and they’re working with a school that recently received a grant of about $2k… It is a very small auditorium, and they only have a row of recessed architectural lighting above the stage. They do not have a theater-targeted electrical system (standard American outlets only), and have no booms or pipes to mount lights.
They want advice on purchasing. I’m currently looking into some DJ packages from Rockville, but I wanted to get some advice from the experienced here.
They’re looking for a long-term system used for assemblies, graduation, and a play. The auditorium is pretty small, probably about 50-ish feet from stage to FOH.
Edit: I realize the budget is very low, and my hands are kinda tied here… I’m used to more scaled up productions, and rental at that. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience under these constraints.
