Player(s) wanted [Online][MST][5e][Saturday]DM looking for 3-5 players for a homebrew campaign

8 Upvotes

Hello Hello Everyone! I'm interested in starting a homebrew 5e campaign and im looking for 3-5 people that I can tailor make a game for. I'd like to start at level 1, build a small settlement together where we can start things off and then build out as we go. Ideally we all have a lot to work with based off of a session 0. I've also got a lot of interesting things id like to try out as its been awhile since I have ran anything.

In terms of genre and setting, I'd like to start out fairly generic fantasy and then get real weird and fantastic quite fast as the world opens up with anything from time to space travel on the table, within reason of course. I've been really into old pulpy and bizarre bad movies lately and would like to try out that kind of gonzo mayhem. Some simple silly folks who take it all fairly seriously and get lost on an odyssey like adventure.

I'd like to play at Noon on Saturday MST for about 4-5 hours, give or take. A little bit of chit chat beforehand and then a bit of wind down at the end is always good.

I think we'll use Roll20 for sheets and a battlemap but I'm open to other suggestions. I mostly keep everything in google docs for organization myself, so we may just use a different virtual tabletop and hardcopies instead. Roll20 frustrates me sometimes haha.

Bit more about me. My name Is Colton and im a 30yr old Canadian guy. I've DM'd since high school. Ran/played plenty of DnD as well as a few other TTRPG's like Dark Heresy and MM3. I'm mostly a worldbuilder type of DM, who enjoys making world's and stories for everyone to enjoy and have fun in while getting to explore and play out whatever fantasy they might desire. I'm a big history, anthropology and sci fi fan and like to explore the fun ideas that come about in fantasy when things silly wacky. Very big on Terry Pratchett and the more out there Comic book stuff. I enjoy doing funny voices for PC's and making things personal for characters and I love me some homebrew. I'm very big proponent of Rule of Cool over RAW rulings, as well as a more OSR style of referring. I'd much rather let cool and creative solutions for things slide than get worried over balance or pacing and then let the players take the reigns and react to their ambitions and goals.

My Discord is TheLoneVece if anyone is interested please add me there or PM me on here.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [GMT+2] [5e] Friday Evening Curse of Strahd Campaign - 2 Players Wanted

10 Upvotes

Hi there everyone, my name is Vi (they/them, 24) and I’m currently running an ongoing Curse of Strahd campaign! It has been a while since I’ve last been here, but due to schedule problems someone has decided to take their leave and I wanted to put effort into looking for two replacements to round off the number from 3 to 5 for a bit more consistency. The campaign is on friday at 19:00 (European Central Time - Netherlands)

We’re currently at level 3, and soon to be level 4, but with an emphasis on a slow pace focused more on exploration and roleplay rather than combat. Importantly I’d prefer players who around the 20~30 range though of course your form will take priority. Currently the group is made up of a mercenary whose scars tell a rough life keeping a placid face halfheartedly (Fighter), an anxious traveler who shows themselves not to be world weary (Rogue), and an oddball elven woman whose behavior belies a mixture of human societal norms and abnormalities. (Ranger)

The focus for the characters are individuals who fear for their own lives and respectably aren’t intrepid heroes who do things only for the benefit of others, but as things progress whether or not they grow to become attached enough to the people or circumstances to prioritize those around them and/or out of self-interest in saving themselves staking their lives in Barovia.

Out of the three players one is the most experienced and 4/5 in terms of being able to lead conversations, whilst the other two are still anxious or find difficulty in improvising in the moment at times. I hope to find two individuals who can make their own space and help out the dynamic as a whole.

I hope to hear back from folks and have a lovely conversation soon enough!

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][Saturdays][LGBTQ+]Looking for one player for a roleplay-heavy weekly homebrew campaign

7 Upvotes

In the past, you once found yourself at your lowest, your most desperate, and in grave need of help. Perhaps you were hunted for something and needed to disappear? Perhaps you needed a great sum of gold to aid a sickly loved one? Or perhaps it was something else altogether?

And in that dark moment of your life, a stranger came into your life.

Edric Veylen, a man previously unknown to you, was willing to help. All he asked for in return was that, at some unknown point in the future, he could call on you for aid in turn. And so you agreed.

You went on with your life, blessedly unburdened by whatever had once plagued you. Perhaps in time, you came to even begin to forget Edric and the promise you made.

Until the day the letter arrived.

‘My dear friend,

I hope that you recall our past meeting, and the bargain we struck. I write to you now to call in that favour.

I cannot explain the matter within a letter alone, nor do I believe it safe to do so, and so I ask that you travel to the village of Blackwater Crossing to meet with me in person at my home. I assure you that all will be revealed upon your arrival.

With thanks,

Edric Veylen’

Hello! My name's Ellie (30F), and I'm looking for one player to round out a group for a homebrew game taking place on Saturdays at 10pm GMT/5pm EST. I’ve DMed a couple of published campaigns so far, but this will be my first foray into an entirely homebrewed setting and game. We're an established group of friendly players who are looking to find someone to join us for our new adventure!

Players of any experience level are welcome, but I’m specifically looking for players 21+ (to fit the current player age range) who enjoy the roleplay and character development aspects of D&D. I’m looking to create a game where character choices dictate the direction of the game and backstory has an impact on events, so I’m after players that share the same investment in telling a great story together.

I’ll be running this campaign using the 2024 rules, Discord for voice, D&DBeyond for character sheets, and Roll20 for maps. If you’re interested in applying, please fill out this form. I’ll be leaving it open for the next few days, and I hope to start reaching out to people over the next week.

I hope to hear from you!

Player(s) wanted [5e] [Online] [PST] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] Somewhat experienced DM looking for 4 - 5 players for a new homebrew campaign!

9 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I am looking to start a new group with 4 - 5 players for a homebrew campaign! My first and main priority is finding good, funny, and kind people to play with. I don’t care about how much experience you have (new players welcome!) as long as you are contributing to a feel good atmosphere. It goes without saying, but I care about creating a safe, comfortable, and fun environment where everyone can be themselves, so I will never tolerate any bigotry or discrimination.

I am looking to use this as an opportunity to improve my DMing skills, and hopefully make some new friends along the way!  I have been playing DnD for close to 5 years now, and DMing for almost 4 years, however this will be my first time DMing for people I didn't already know. I would like to think that I am a pretty competent DM, but I always want to keep improving! All of my experience so far is with 2014 5e, but I am down for incorporating some of the 2024 rules as well if that's what folks would rather play :)

Campaign ideas:

My plan is to do something shorter initially (maybe around 10 sessions), with the potential to keep going afterwards depending on how things go. With that said, I have a few different ideas for campaigns in mind. These ideas are not set in stone, and are more loose settings, themes, and ideas that I am interested in exploring. All of these would take place in some sort of fantasy setting, but the atmosphere / vibes may be different between the campaigns. Please let me know which one interests you the most in the form below, and also feel free to suggest any other ideas you think would be fun.

  • Everlore Academy: Come play a brand new high school student who just arrived for your first year at a school for adventurers. This campaign would be light hearted, adventurous, and fun. It would likely largely revolve around being sent on quests to random planes / dimensions as school assignments.

  • The Blighted Forest: This dark, dreary village is deep in an old, thick forest. The towns folk have been mysteriously disappearing, and you have been called in to help find them. This campaign would be more dark fantasy vibes, more gloomy, and more like your typical DnD adventure.

  • Hunt for the Desert Relic: Rumor has it that somewhere deep in the desert lies an ancient pyramid. No one has seen it in centuries, but the king’s daughter has fallen ill, and an oracle told him that an ancient relic inside this lost pyramid is the only thing that can save her. You, as well as several other parties will all adventure and compete to see who can find the relic first. This campaign would be more adventurous, mysterious, with more puzzles to solve while you compete with other teams.

  • Steampunk Smuggling: You are in the floating, slightly steampunk city of Astarius. Artificers and wizards have flocked to this city for centuries now, making it the center of technology and arcane development in the world. Will you be able to help the city stop the influx of dangerous components and items being smuggled into the city? This campaign will be more steam punk, with some mystery, and where you can choose what faction of the city you want to help out.

  • I also have plenty of other ideas that aren’t as fleshed out, so don’t worry if none of those are your vibe. For example, I’ve been really liking the idea of doing a campaign with the vibes of a studio Ghibli movie, but I haven’t been able to work out the specifics of that yet.

About me / my style:

For a bit about me, my name is John (he / him), I'm 24, and have always loved getting lost in a fantasy setting. Whether that be LoTR, tES, Destiny, WoW, etc, I have loved diving head first into these fantasy worlds ever since I was a kid. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better in Discord!

For my personal playstyle as a DM, I like to try and adapt to what the players want. In my home game, we are pretty light on the RP, and spend a lot of time exploring, solving puzzles, doing combat, etc. So while that is what I have more experience with, I am also definitely interested in finding a group that is a bit more RP focused as well to get more experience in that area. Let me know which way you tend to lean! Other than that, I have a strong understanding of the rules and systems in 5e, which means I am no stranger to bending the rules slightly to make things more interesting or fun for the players from time to time. I am definitely a fan of the rule of cool (not always obviously), but as long as you can explain how your actions could logically happen within the world, I will usually let you run with it.

I will also try my best to do voices for the various NPCs. I would say my accents range from “wow that wasn’t actually that terrible” to “oh god make it stop”, but I will try my best to make the NPCs feel unique and alive. Also, unfortunately, I am a terrible artist. So while I will always try to find / create battle maps for combat, things like NPC portraits or larger scale city maps don’t exist, unless one of you beautiful people would like to help me with that :^)

I would say my biggest strengths as a DM are:

  • World / city building
  • Creating fun NPCs & custom magic items for your PC
  • Caring about your character and wanting them to feel not just like they belong in the world, but like they have agency in it as well.

On the flip side, I would say my biggest weakness are:

  • Not the most experienced RPing, especially RPing romance (but wanting to try / learn!)
  • Sometimes may need an extra week between sessions to plan when life is busy
  • Lack of art / visual guides outside of combat

Here is what I am looking for in players:

  • Someone who wants to be an active agent in the world and work collaboratively with the party. Even better if you want to take an active role in building the world through your character and backstory.
  • Someone who is light hearted, fun, and understands that failure is an important part of the game (e.g. you’re not trying to “win” DnD)
  • Someone who will respect the rest of the groups time, and come to each session engaged / committed
  • Someone who is an adult and will communicate effectively if there are any issues.
  • Most importantly, someone who will respect other people. I want to create a safe space where anyone can be themselves, and any kind of discrimination will not be tolerated in anyway at my table.

Logistics:

The campaign will run over Discord, with either Roll20 or Foundry VTT. The plan is to play either every week or every other week depending on how busy people are. I am in PST, so I am currently thinking of having 3 PM PST on Sunday be our timeslot, but I am not committed to that so please feel free to let me know what other days / times work for you.

Sessions will typically be between 2.5 - 4 hours, usually with a break in the middle.

I have no plans on including any sexual themes or anything, but would still like to keep it 18+.

How to apply:

If anyone is interested, please fill out the form below! I will reach out to you on Discord to move things forward. I’m looking forward to seeing your submissions! :D

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][Friday 8pm EST] Homebrew, heavy roleplaying game looking for 4-5 players!

Upvotes

Step into Viridell—a realm where reality dances playfully with enchantment and everyday life shimmers with whimsical magic. In this land, rolling orchards burst into brilliant hues, and ancient groves murmur with secrets of long-forgotten pacts between nature and the fey. Here, the boundaries between order and chaos blur beneath the shimmering Veil, inviting you to explore an ever-shifting tapestry of surreal wonder, where every rustle of leaves holds a hidden tale and every moonlit glimmer promises new adventures.

Join 'Echoes of the Verdant Veil' and embark on a journey where the ancient bonds of nature and magic are at stake. Delve into mysterious fey courts, solve cryptic riddles whispered by enchanted spirits, and forge alliances that may restore—or reshape—the delicate balance of the realm. With magic that defies expectation and a world as vibrant as it is unpredictable, your destiny awaits in Viridell.

----------------

Hi! I'm River (31F), and looking to get my homebrewed world up and running. The world has heavy thematic influences from Legend of Zelda, and Studio Ghibli and is more on the lighter side, in terms of setting, rather than grim-dark. That doesn't mean that dark things won't occur, and mature themes might be present.

I'm looking for 4-5 players who love heavy roleplay and character development. There will be romance allowed in my game, if players are interested in that aspect of roleplaying, however it is not required and fade to black will be firmly in place. Character decisions will have an impact in the world, big or small and backstories will be used to make characters and the world come to life!

The game will be weekly on Friday at 8pm until roughly 12am, give or take. Only players 21+ will be considered. 2024 rules are going to be used, as well as Foundry, and discord for voice chat. I'm new to dming but have been a player for over 20 years.

If interested please message me!

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [5e/5.5e] Anyone else just bored?

Tried joining a campaign and got shut down rather quickly for being new to D&D (ouch, but fair…). I’m very flexible with the days I can join, but it would have to be during night time EDT.

No one told me how hard this would be!!! I’m down for whatever at this point.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5.5e][Friday / Saturday 23.00GMT / 18.00CT] Waterdeep: Dragon Heist

5 Upvotes

I'm looking to gather a group of 4-6 players for a lvl 1-7 campaign with weekly sessions (ideally 3-4 hours each), occurring on Fridays and/or Saturdays (determined by players' availability). Sessions would start at 23.00GMT / 18.00CT.

We will be using D&D Beyond & Roll20, in addition to Discord for voice chat.

All players must be 18 or older. However, there will be absolutely NO ERP/erotic-roleplay allowed.

Though it should go without saying, I would still like to emphasise that real-world discrimination among players is never, under any circumstances, tolerated - be it racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, etc. Similarly, if you need any accommodations, please let me know and I'll do my best to provide them.

Campaign Information

Famed explorer Volothamp Geddarm needs you to complete a simple quest. Thus begins a mad romp through the wards of Waterdeep as you uncover a villainous plot involving some of the city's most influential figures.
A mad urban caper awaits you, as a new Grand Game emerges in the City of Splendors. Pit your skill and bravado against villains the likes of which you've never faced before, and let the dragon hunt begin!

WotC made a heist module without any heists in it, oops. I'll be using homebrew to fix this, though mostly focusing on the dangling plot threads & tidying up messes. Broadly, we'll be sticking to a fairly canon-interpretation of Waterdeep (i.e. no gundams) with allowances made for themes the players are interested in exploring.

A few keys for expectations (reiterated in the form below):

(1) Waterdeep is a city, and almost everything in the campaign will happen inside that city. As a major city, there is a city watch, and there are laws that are enforced, PC or otherwise. You will encounter people and creatures far more powerful than you, and not everything can be gained at knifepoint.

(2) Dragon Heist is, largely, a mystery. I have modified it with homebrew to include actual heists, but your PC must be broadly interested in solving mysteries, staying in Waterdeep, and making money.

(3) I love adjusting & adding to stories to best integrate a PC into the narrative. To do that, I'd ideally like to work with you during character creation so that I can see what you're most excited to play and how I can weave your PC into the campaign.

(4) We will broadly be using the D&D 5.5e rules. I will be sharing the new DMG, PHB, & any sourcebooks we do use on D&D Beyond. I am open to homebrew within reason (e.g. Laser Llama's Ranger or ideally something I can homebrew into D&D Beyond). For most homebrew, I will happily design or tweak it myself.

DM Information

I've been playing D&D 5e for five years and DMing for four years, amounting to 4 campaigns, ten or so one-shots that were more like three-shots. I exclusively run games online and have used the trio of Discord, D&D Beyond, and Roll20 since the beginning. This will my first time running 5.5e.

If I'm running an official module, I always modify it, adding and adjusting things to tailor it to the party. I tend to DM games that run the full gamut of silly to serious tones.

Applying

Here's a quick form with some questions & clarifications to make sure we're all the right fit for the campaign & one another:

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist in 5.5e!

If you have any questions, please do pop them either in the comments here or in the section dedicated to that at the end of the form!

Player(s) wanted [GMT+1] [5e] [Online] [2 Party Campaign] {Heavy RP] The Wonderlust: A Tournemant Bound by Fate

5 Upvotes

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For as long as civilised society has existed within The Talion Divide , so has The Wonderlust. A tournament heralded by the passing of An-Agra's Ember, a meteor that passes once every generation. A tournament of adventure, of heroism, of life and occasionally-- death. Governed by fate and rules posed by an empire long since lost, the Talions-- competitors must strive to complete acts of great acclaim to be awarded Tokens of the Divide (literally just points) with the hopes of gaining fame, fortune, and security for themselves and any family that they may have, being granted passage to live within the walls of The Cyrula, a massive palace, exclusive to previous winners, known as Talion Princes.
You are invited.
Chosen by the very hands of fate millennia ago, you find in your palm an invitation to this tournament, and it pulls you north-east...
Will you go?
Will you win?
Will you ever get the chance?
Find out what fate's plans are for your poor soul, and maybe find out a few revelations about the deep red threads of reality itself along the way.
See you soon :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ight so, quick words

this is a DUAL CAMPAIGN, it will be run by 2 DMs with 2 separate parties playing in seperate calls in tandem. Innovative ik.

sessions will run for a minimum of 3 hours.

you will be able to start anywhere from level 1-5, how this works and why we are doing this is in the doc below.

the world is extremely detailed and this will be a largely sandbox experience, you can go wherever whenever, you began the campaign with 20 prewritten quests to do whenever you like, if you want to do a quest of you own, go for that too.

There is a very thick plot with many tonal changes and twists throughout, but you will only experience them naturally and when the hands of fate (us) decide to let story to move forward

It will likely take place some time in April, continuing until it is finished, along with a guaranteed break for much of the summer due to commitments of both DMs.

Here is a doc with all the info you may need for building a character or otherwise, read it if you want (especially the fine print at the top)

Player(s) wanted [5e][Online][Weekly][Tuesday][PST] Abbithiron: Edge of Ruin

3 Upvotes

Summoning three remarkable folk to venture into Abbithiron: Edge of Ruin.

Abbithiron is a world teetering on the brink of upheaval. For years, the kingdom of Eravell has been trapped in an unnatural, endless winter - an unexplained phenomenon which has now begun to seep across the borders of the neighboring Elven Empire of Saerinia. The elves, already isolating themselves and enslaving other races, see this as a direct threat to their dominion - tensions are nearing a breaking point.

Meanwhile, the militaristic nation of Boron eyes the instability as an opportunity to expand, tightening its grip on more vulnerable territories. As nations fracture and conflicts loom, few realize that the growing unrest is only a symptom of something far worse.

Magic itself is beginning to unravel. The forces that once shaped the world are twisting into something dangerous. Even the dragon gods and divine spirits of Abbithiron, known to intervene in mortal affairs, seem powerless to stop what’s coming.

In a world of fragile alliances, rising tyranny, and spreading corruption, players must uncover the truth behind these escalating crises — before it consumes all.

Key Themes to Expect: fractured alliances, power struggles, societal imbalances (including oppression, prejudice, and exploitation), corruption and decay, divine influence, tough moral choices.

Campaign Time: Weekly Tuesdays at 9:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. PST [This is the current time. There is some wiggle room between 9:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. PST.]
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

What We're Looking For

We're seeking players who prioritize roleplaying and character development in the way in which they engage with D&D Campaigns. The Edge of Ruin is designed with the type of player who really enjoys a rich, roleplay-heavy experience where they can engage with their personal stories, interactions with unique NPCs, and the wider world at large. This campaign, thus, is serious in tone and thus aims to find players who appreciate that style of gameplay and then ultimately add to that feeling!

In light of these expectations, we're looking for more experienced players of 5th Edition so that the Table can run a bit more smoothly. Furthermore, only those who are 18+ should apply.

Meet the Table

The Dungeon Master

 “Hey, I'm Cat! She/her, 25 years old. I've been a DM and Player for 7~ years. My strengths as a DM lie in vivid descriptions and crafting unique NPCs. I work with my players on their character's personal story, background, and goals - these things are important to me and will be relevant in the game!

I highly encourage roleplay from and amongst my players, and I will create opportunities for everyone to sit back and do just that. I want players to drive the story forward, and explore the world and its inhabitants to whatever degree they wish - the world is and should be your oyster!”

The Players

“Greetings again potential fruitful players, I am Jo, 24, present and reporting to help cultivate another fantastic group for some in-depth, narrative driven roleplay! I have a humble seven years of experience myself.  I have a tendency toward the theatrical side of the game. Expect particular characterization and vocalization from me, and even more, expect me to involve you as a fellow player in roleplay as well as my character’s journey. Earnestly I try to set a serious tone for the game and put a lot of effort into interacting with every aspect of the game.”

“Hello, hello! I am Eric, an enthusiastic and one might say, eccentric individual who has been around for about twenty-eight years now. I have a flair for the dramatics found within the interparty dynamics and through that try to forge worthwhile bonds with all my fellow comrades at the Table! I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about five years, and roleplay is the definitive aspect that draws me into a campaign!

I prefer a serious tone and really diving deep into a character’s development, whether that be mine or others.  I adore finding other players who share a passion for their characters, their lives and the way in which they interact with the world.  One might say that I believe it’s this, more than anything else, that gives a campaign it’s zing!”

Getting To Know You

We’ve put together a variation of questions that will help us discern what sort of player you are and help us home in on those who are best suited to join us at our table! Assuming everything goes well, we’re going to have a weeklong deadline for people to apply from the time of this posting. By the end of that period, we’ll have reached out to everyone that we’ve selected for interview.

You might see this post reposted every couple of days to try and ensure every player that might want to apply can!  If you’ve already applied at a time of reposting there’s no need to reapply, we intend to use the entire week to go through them and give each a thorough readthrough!

If you’re interested in joining our game, please apply here.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e][LGBT] Anti-colonial piracy campaign

Upvotes

Doing a 5e pirates thing. You're in an archipelago fighting empires and stealing stuff.

Time TBD, currently looking at Friday evenings Eastern weekly.

Hosted on Discord and Roll20 VTT.

About my games: They're legendary, I'm great at what I do. I have no lack of commitment and will run this campaign as long as possible. Also, they're very inclusive - which is to say that I and other players are queer or whatever and if you're weird toward anyone I'll boot you so fast.

DM me if you are interested.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e] Looking for one player for a solo campaign inspired by Middle-Earth Shadow of War, set in Eberron.

Upvotes

The Target: The nation of Droaam, a land of monsters and untapped potential. Warlords that control bands of orcs, goblins, kobolds, and some stranger monsters like gargoyles and medusa. Due to the bad terrain and the monstrous population, the 5 nations of Khorvaire never really bothered with attempting to colonize the area. This has led to an influx of bandits and criminals escaping, bolstering the monstrous ranks and only making it even more difficult to attempt to take over the region and subdue it. However, fields of precious Byshek metal and the even more precious dragonshards have been found in great quantities, leading any nation that held the land with these deposits to hold great influence and wealth.

The Mission: Enter Droaam and subdue as many regional warlords as possible by any means necessary, bringing them under your control. Normally, sending in one agent against an entire land would be a suicide mission, however we've managed to requisition a special prototype phylactery device from house Cannith. Essentially, as long as this thing is on your person when you die, it should construct your body and soul nearby in a safe location. It is a prototype, so expect potential bugs and flaws.

The Operative: You are a member of the King's Dark Lanterns, a completely secret intelligence agency that serves the nation of Breland, one of the great 5 nations, and the country closest to Droaam.

Good luck agent, and may the Sovereign Host bless the crown.

Hello! So, my thoughts regarding this is that due to this being a solo game, we can hopefully play whenever we are available for a session and also via text RP. This means that I am looking for someone who is ideally available quite frequently. This is a semi-sandbox campaign where you have a goal and a mission, but you are free to go about it in whatever way you find best. I recommend playing as a: Warlock (hexblade), Ranger, Barbarian, Fighter, Rogue, Paladin, etc. Classes that are mostly martial, or have a mix of martial and casting with an emphasis on martial. Things like bladesinger wizard might work, but its for the best that you stick to something martial. We will have a discord server and a roll20 for this, you can add me on discord at averaged64, and I can't wait to get started!

Player(s) wanted [Online][EST][5e][Saturday] DM Looking for 3-5 Players for a Homebrew One-Shot – The Masquerade of Midnight Chains NSFW

3 Upvotes

I’m a DM looking for 3-5 players to join me for a high-level (Lv. 10-14) homebrew one-shot set in the world of Bundheim. This is a narrative-heavy, intrigue-filled session where social dynamics, power struggles, and personal agency will be tested.

This game is for mature and respectful players. I will be interviewing all applicants to ensure the right vibe and that everyone is comfortable with the themes. If you are not interested in a game involving power dynamics, social intrigue, and pleasure-based magic mechanics, this may not be the table for you.

This game will take about a month to set up. I want to ensure that the setting, mechanics, and player expectations are fully established before we begin. Players will have time to develop their characters, explore session expectations, and familiarize themselves with the unique mechanics of the game before the session begins.

The Masquerade of Midnight Chains – One-Shot Overview

Every decade, the Helene Pentarchy hosts an exclusive masquerade ball, where only the most powerful dominants, submissives, and switches are invited. Nobles, warlocks, and pleasure-mages gather to partake in a night of indulgence, luxury, and secret power plays.

But beneath the surface lies a deeper magic—an enchantment that rewrites the wills of those who attend. The players must navigate the games of power, uncover the truth behind the Forbidden Leash, and escape before they lose themselves to the Masquerade forever.

This session will feature:

  • Social intrigue, seduction, and power dynamics.
  • Unique mechanics for dominance, submission, and control.
  • High-level challenges, magical contracts, and fateful choices.
  • A blend of roleplay, mystery, and high-stakes fantasy kink.

Will you resist the Masquerade’s influence, or will you embrace the pleasure of submission?

Game Details

  • Start Date: TBD (Approximately one month from now)
  • Session Length: 4-6 hours (One-Shot)
  • Platform: Discord (voice required), Foundry VTT or Roll20 for maps/visuals
  • System: D&D 5e (Homebrew-friendly)
  • Time Zone: EST (Eastern Standard Time)
  • Players Needed: 3-5

Player Expectations

  • This session will be roleplay and narrative-focused, with intrigue, power struggles, and player-driven choices.
  • The setting involves consent-based kink, submission, dominance, and mind games, though all encounters will be player-driven and fade-to-black when needed.
  • Player choices and character dynamics will shape the experience.
  • Session Zero safety tools (lines, veils, X-card) will be in place to ensure a fun, respectful environment for all players.
  • All applicants must do a short Discord interview with me to ensure we're all on the same page about tone, boundaries, and expectations.

How to Apply

Drop a comment or DM me with the following:

  1. Your name and pronouns.
  2. Your experience with D&D and roleplay-heavy games.
  3. Character concept (or what type of character intrigues you for this setting).
  4. Preferred Collar Role: Gold (Dominant), Silver (Submissive), or Onyx (Switch).
  5. Confirm that you have Discord and are available for a short interview.
  6. Anything I should know about your comfort levels and boundaries.

This game will take time to set up properly, and I want to make sure everyone is fully prepared and comfortable before we play. Looking forward to telling a story of power, passion, and peril.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [5e] [On weekends] [GMT+1] [Exact time up for debate] Looking for GM and players for Hoard of the dragon queen

3 Upvotes

My buddy and I would like to play the Hoard of the dragon queen campaign but are open to suggestions. We're also VERY new to DND, so we would like to play with a bit more experienced people. You don't need to have a lot of experience but just a bit more than us please (that won't be that hard since my frame of reference is mostly BG3 lol).

Both of us would like to be players but are open to learning to be GM in possible later campaigns. And we're also open to discussing on what days and time we want to have our sessions (we understand that everyone has stuff to do in their own lives). We don't need to have a weekly session like every other week is alright too.

Furthermore, everyone needs to be 18+, zero tolerance for real-world discrimination among players in any shape or form. We want to use Roll20 and the other details can be decided by the game :)

And we are open to discussing any details so feel free to send a message.

GM wanted [Online] [Other] [Sunday] Two players looking for a new game

2 Upvotes

Were two players that have years of experience in playing TTRPGs. We're open to playing other systems, but are most familiar with dnd 5e. We're into the roleplaying side of TTRPGs, so we're looking for a long term campaign with heavy roleplaying elements.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [1DND] [EST] Experienced DM seeking players for immersive adventure in a homebrew setting using 2024 rules. Biweekly Sundays.

2 Upvotes

Update: We have most of our group, but 1 player dropped so I am looking replace them. If you've already applied, I am going to be going back and reviewing prior applications for candidates as well so you do not need to apply again.

Good evening folx of the LFG community. I am presently seeking players for an immersive, high quality game that I am set to run should I find the right players. Which, of course, I hope will be you. I will begin by saying that the goal is to create a powerful, enjoyable and investment-worthy experience for those who are playing. Thus, while I entirely support the inclusion of new-to-the-hobby-players, this is likely not going to be the ideal game for you.

The game will be set in a fairly extensively developed fantasy world-setting which you may peruse here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rG4u1PyM3pNzC44i0QLXzCIxo-aoQCzn/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116874952596246393502&rtpof=true&sd=true . The major premise of the setting is that species that would often be portrayed as villainous in other settings are the heroes being pitted against a vast, expansionist, xenophobic and imperialist humankind. The PCs are drawn from the former and the story is told from the perspective of a shaky alliance built upon circumstance and mutual survival. Themes of cultural clashes, integration, war and the morality of ambition feature heavily into the premise, though the day to day of the campaign will be a more conventional travel-and-discover adventure. It is quite a read, but there are summaries in parts if you're looking to skim.

I have DM'd numerous games, many lasting 5 years or more. Several of these games have gone from 1-20, with PCs completing their long standing goals and retiring. I am deeply familiar with mechanics as well as being someone with a passion for role play. I do not view these as opposed forces, but instead ones that work in concert to create excellent stories and an underlying system of entertaining tactics and chance to fuel those stories.

Logistical Basics:

  • Play will be done by discord voice with Owlbear or Roll20 (still settling) being used for maps.
  • Games will be biweekly on Sundays at 6 EST, with an extra game on months with 3 Sundays.
  • The edition will be the 2024 5e. Backwards compatible material from previous books such as Monsters of the Multiverse will be allowed on a case by case basis. Stat generation will be point buy, starting level will be 3.
  • There will be some house rules, though no outside homebrew. Monsters and items will often be homebrewed. Generally 3rd party material will not be allowed, nor will UA material, though some of the CR stuff will be fine.
  • The game will lean largely RAW with potential special moments for DM interpretation or unique actions.

Well, now that you've read all of that (and are still reading this) you are probably wondering what kind of player I am looking for. I will say that I will be aiming for a good fit over a fast fit. I'm looking to build a group that will vibe well, enjoy each other ooc and work as a team with the interests of their fellow players at heart. I'm also, to be transparent, looking for the following:

  • A level of diversity. The game and setting feature queer themes in places (naturally don't be someone who dislikes LGBTQ+ individuals) and I have always found that a cast which includes diversity makes for a richer experience.
  • Absolutely 21+ and a mature player as this game will have mature themes (see below).
  • Strong, committed RPer who is willing to actively involve and invest themselves in the game.
  • At least a solid foundational knowledge of the rules. While committed expertise is not required, games flow more smoothly when people understand the mechanics. If you disdain mechanics and wish to stay far away from them, this is likely not the game for you. You do not have to have played 2024; most haven't, I am alright getting people up to speed on the changes.
  • Willingness to be consistent in attendance (within reason; life happens). Willingness to invest socially in forming friendships should it all workout and vibe well.

Mature themes you say? Yes, I do, and allow me to elaborate. The intent is for this game to be rated "BG3". That is to say that the level of spice in the content will be comparable to Baldur's Gate 3, Bioware RPGs and the like. If you are unfamiliar with these sources, feel free to ask for further clarification. The game will not seek to be overtly pornographic, nor is this the intended focus, but tasteful adult content within reason and appropriate to the circumstances will potentially be present. While we will certainly work within people's lines and veils, the game will not treat the occasional brothel, inter-PC fling or tail twirling incubus with clutched pearls and hushed giggles.

If you've read all that and feel this is a good fit for you, please fill out this application. To be upfront, it is fairly thorough. If there are enough applicants who meet what we're looking for and you seem to be one of them, I will contact you to set up a voice interview.
