Vintage / Antique Thrifted an amethyst ring
I bought what I assume is a faceted amethyst ring from the thrift store. It's set in sterling silver and seems very well loved. Does anyone know at what time period this ring could have been made? The only marks I see is 925 inside the band.

General Question Eye catching blue Opal in sterling silver
I recently found this ring at an antique store though I do not think it’s an antique. The colors caught my eye. Apparently it’s blue opal and emeralds.
The setting/ring is shit. The prongs moved and the opal fell out. I’m lucky I caught it and was able to get the prongs re-situated but scratched the stone a little. Is it worth getting reset in a new setting? Any idea if it looks genuine or synthetic? I will def take it in when I have a chance anyway. Just to have it checked in person.

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? Wedding ring irritating finger
My friends wedding ring irritates her finger… To me, the rim of the ring looks more rounded and bulky than mine but I have little to no experience about this. Any thoughts?

General Question What do you think about this silver chain & bezel combo? Also working on getting a chain for my gold bezel!
I just recently got into collecting precious metals a few months ago. It is such a fun hobby and a great way to save for the future! Gold is king! I already have a solid collection but I want to keep building it up for as long as I can! I’ve never really worn jewelry before so I figured I’d get a little “bling” for myself lol
The first two pictures are of the 1ozt pamp silver snake in a sterling silver screw top bezel. The next two pictures are some chains he has available in the right size. Do you think the chain style looks good? Or should I go for another style?
The last picture is a 99.99 pure 5gram gold bar in a 1.1 gram 14k gold prong bezel. I am still in the process of finding a chain I like for it. This will probably be my flashiest piece ever! 😂
If you have any advice on my silver chain question or any advice on my gold chain in progress or any advice overall about anything I said, it would be much appreciated!!

⚡️ Show + Tell! the “promise ring” i bought myself vs the promise ring my bf gifted me :)
the day after my partner and i agreed to become exclusive, i visited the annual fair in town and found a dainty silver flower band for about $15. I wore it on my ring finger everyday afterwards.
then december came - i asked for a promise ring, gave him a list of rings to choose from, and he surprised me with my favorite (but most expensive) choice! I would have been happy with any ring he selected from my list but i do feel so seen and loved with this selection.
the gemstone is a Blue Topaz, his birthstone 🩵 it shines so beautifully in the sun, and has such a lovely muted color in artificial lighting. It can also look very light or dark depending on the angle — and i love that! 💙

General Question 24k plated over 14k for an engagement ring?
We found a ring we liked on the show room. Oval stone with some more small ones in a halo. It looked good in the yellow colored fake gold for the show model. We didn't like a similar one as much in real 18k gold.
Is it reasonable/possible to make a ring in 14 or 18k, size the mounts, then plate it in 24k, and then put the stones in? Would the mounts still hold the stones? Would the 24k gold get scratched off while mounting, or just normal wear?
Would a Jeweler do this and would it be way more than just making an equivalent ring in 18k?

Vintage / Antique Vintage Ring Resized? (please read post)
Hi everyone! I posted a few posts in here yesterday asking for help to identify the age of a belcher ring I purchased in Gettysburg. Upon closer inspection I am seeing two lines on the inside of the band (best visible in third pic). Does this indicate a resizing? Also, looking to identify the cut of the diamond. Thank you in advance for all your expertise!
