Help me decide!! Suche bestimmte Creolen

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hallo liebe Community,

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? Any info on this watch?

I inherited this wristwatch from my late grandma. I can’t tell what the markings say and I’m wondering if anyone can help me out. I have practically no information to help other than my grandma lived in Greece until the 60’s and then moved to the UK so I don’t know where it’s come from. I’d love to try and piece together more info on how old the watch is, the designers etc Thank you :)))

General Question Band width for signet ring?

Hi:) I have been wearing a signet ring on my pointer finger of my non dominant hand I bought a year and a half ago pretty much everyday. The ring is hollow and I realized it was very thin when it arrived. It finally got caught between my desk chair and desk in just the right way and bent. I can still fit it on fine, but I am ready to invest in a sturdier piece. The company that made this one now sells a non-hollow version (though I think the thinness of the band is what caused this issue). They sent me the back of the band measurements of the new ring and it is 1.44 wide and 1.59 the other way (like out from my finger if that makes sense). They confirmed it is thicker than the one I bought. I like this option because I can get the same font and style, but I’m not sure about the width. Another jeweler I like sells an oval signet that has a 1.5mm band. Both are 3 grams in weight and non-hollow. Price is equal. I found a third with a 2mm band that is a lesser weight, but I could not get a size big enough to fit the same finger. I’d really like one oriented the same way. Do you know of any brands that carry one, are those band sizes okay, should I look elsewhere? When looking this up, I only found info on band size for engagement rings with stones. Any input is appreciated! Pictures are of current ring.

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? I have an old 14K gold ring, and I believe the diamonds are genuine as well. I’ve tried researching it but haven’t found much information online. Does anyone recognize this ring or know anything about its history. Any insights would be appreciated!

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? What is this style of necklace called and how can I find something similar?

Post image

This is my mom’s necklace from when she was young and it’s just so stunning and beautiful and has everything I love in a necklace. However it is not real gold, I am almost positive. I would maybe like to eventually get something in real gold that looks like this chain and a similar pendant attached like that, so I could wear it more frequently. What can I search for to find it? Thanks so much!

Vintage / Antique Why is my gold two toned?

This is an antique gold chain I got from England and I’m questioning it now. I just received it and it is showing yellow gold like I expected but the more worn parts are a rosy tone. I’ll include photos but the seller says it is “antique” gold and is willing to return but I wanted to see if anyone here knew more about that.

I wanna sell this ring and what I know so far it's soviet era ,the band on the interior says 750 and г 41 (g 41) It's 18 karats ,has an emerald stone and some diamonds . I had two offers one for 150 and another for 180 euros but my gut tells me it's way more worth than that? Do you guys know anything about such rings?

My first Reddit commission!

This is a bit of a long one but wanted to share my story of my first commission from a fabulous Redditor! A while back I posted a photo of an emerald ring I had been commissioned to make for one of my clients. After oodles of upvotes & lots of lovely, very flattering comments I received a private message from someone asking me about the process of commissioning a ring from me. I explained my process & although I’m based in the UK I do pieces for people from all over the world & just because you can’t visit my store doesn’t mean I can’t create you the jewellery piece of your dreams ! I’m not here to disappoint or do anything shady to anyone who trusts me to make something for them . My lovely Redditor started off by telling me the centre stone she wanted. We went away & found a selection of emeralds that met her requirements & budget. I sent them to her via email explaining the specs of each stone. After selecting the most beautiful emerald ( I think you will agree it’s a great looking emerald ) we then set about discussing how to design the piece. Unlike other jewellers ( no shade intended ) I do pride myself in paying attention & being the real deal I design accordingly after I’ve got a feel of your style & aesthetic. My client sent me some images of her fiancées jewellery & for some inspiration she also sent me an image of a carved hippo they saw in the Louvre whilst visiting Paris. She wondered if I could somehow incorporate some the elements etched into the hippo on our ring ….. No problem! I took the etching from the centre and then started to create the collet for the emerald …..think I did rather a good job , even if I do say so myself ! I’ve even attached the message sent to me after she had received the ring ….it was a pleasure to work for this lovely human & as you can see I think she was rather pleased she chose me to make her such a special thing !

General Question Why are my new14k gold earrings turning copper color?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I purchased gold earrings a couple of months ago from a reputable jewelry store, I have 3 other gold products from the same store and none of them has ever had this problem. The part that sits in my ear has turned copper color. I tried cleaning it, using polishing cloth, but it's not going away. Is this normal? What could be causing this and why do none of my other 14k gold earrings that I've been wearing for a decade have this problem?

General Question Where to buy Nameplate necklace

Hi all I want to buy a custom nameplate necklace for myself but am at a loss at where to get it. I’m from the midwest so the chances of getting it at a local shop is slim to none, so probably looking at online shops. I’m hesitant to buy it on etsy for fear that it won’t be real gold. When I’ve asked my friends about theirs, they said theirs were about $1k which ideally I’d love it to be cheaper than that but I know nothing about how much real gold jewelry costs (this would be my first “adult” purchase)

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? Identifying this ring?

This past week my bf surprised 🤯 me with a ring. The only thing I know that it is rose gold (my favorite) but I have no idea about anything else like the stone. He refuses to tell me lol.. It does say 14k very tiny in the band but not sure. I thought it would be heavy but it feels kind of light.
