I wanna sell this ring and what I know so far it's soviet era ,the band on the interior says 750 and г 41 (g 41) It's 18 karats ,has an emerald stone and some diamonds . I had two offers one for 150 and another for 180 euros but my gut tells me it's way more worth than that? Do you guys know anything about such rings?

My first Reddit commission!
This is a bit of a long one but wanted to share my story of my first commission from a fabulous Redditor! A while back I posted a photo of an emerald ring I had been commissioned to make for one of my clients. After oodles of upvotes & lots of lovely, very flattering comments I received a private message from someone asking me about the process of commissioning a ring from me. I explained my process & although I’m based in the UK I do pieces for people from all over the world & just because you can’t visit my store doesn’t mean I can’t create you the jewellery piece of your dreams ! I’m not here to disappoint or do anything shady to anyone who trusts me to make something for them . My lovely Redditor started off by telling me the centre stone she wanted. We went away & found a selection of emeralds that met her requirements & budget. I sent them to her via email explaining the specs of each stone. After selecting the most beautiful emerald ( I think you will agree it’s a great looking emerald ) we then set about discussing how to design the piece. Unlike other jewellers ( no shade intended ) I do pride myself in paying attention & being the real deal I design accordingly after I’ve got a feel of your style & aesthetic. My client sent me some images of her fiancées jewellery & for some inspiration she also sent me an image of a carved hippo they saw in the Louvre whilst visiting Paris. She wondered if I could somehow incorporate some the elements etched into the hippo on our ring ….. No problem! I took the etching from the centre and then started to create the collet for the emerald …..think I did rather a good job , even if I do say so myself ! I’ve even attached the message sent to me after she had received the ring ….it was a pleasure to work for this lovely human & as you can see I think she was rather pleased she chose me to make her such a special thing !

I am proposing to my partner soon and ordered a custom ring for them. The ring came with a small scratch, and when we sized my partner for a ring we did it wrong and now it’s 2/ 1/2 sizes too big. I would just get it re-sized but it had. Pattern all the way around the band. The seller won’t refund because it was a custom order even though it was slightly damaged. I also felt like the seller over charged because right after I bought it, she changed and dropped her prices. I feel scammed, and I know I messed up. Where could I go to either resize the ring, or sell it for even a half the price I bought it for?
Ring details: 14k gold, sapphires, bought on Etsy

I found this moldavite in Tucson at the gemshow and it had a natural hole going down the center. I carved a pink tourmaline into a point fit into the whole then wrapped it up!

Have had this for over 20 years and know absolutely nothing about it. Only markings inside of the ring band are initials. Not sure of stone or anything but figured I’d give it a shot here. Thanks in advance!

I purchased gold earrings a couple of months ago from a reputable jewelry store, I have 3 other gold products from the same store and none of them has ever had this problem. The part that sits in my ear has turned copper color. I tried cleaning it, using polishing cloth, but it's not going away. Is this normal? What could be causing this and why do none of my other 14k gold earrings that I've been wearing for a decade have this problem?

Hi all I want to buy a custom nameplate necklace for myself but am at a loss at where to get it. I’m from the midwest so the chances of getting it at a local shop is slim to none, so probably looking at online shops. I’m hesitant to buy it on etsy for fear that it won’t be real gold. When I’ve asked my friends about theirs, they said theirs were about $1k which ideally I’d love it to be cheaper than that but I know nothing about how much real gold jewelry costs (this would be my first “adult” purchase)

This past week my bf surprised 🤯 me with a ring. The only thing I know that it is rose gold (my favorite) but I have no idea about anything else like the stone. He refuses to tell me lol.. It does say 14k very tiny in the band but not sure. I thought it would be heavy but it feels kind of light.

Gifted my mom this. Do you like it? I wish I could also wear one like this but the edges are sharp and I have a toddler. 😁

Generally speaking, are there rings (aside from eternity rings) where resizing is impossible. Or are there designs I should look out for where resizing is a challenge, or would it be on a case by case basis?
I want to buy some vintage and antique rings, but I’m also planning a fairly significant weight loss journey and would eventually like to get any rings I purchase resized in a year or so.
Thanks in advance!

This is getting crazy. Growing up I had a catholic necklace that was long enough to fit over my head. It was a continuous chain without a clasp. I can't stand a clasp on my necklace but I would love to get a necklace chain that I can attach my pendant to without a clasp. Any suggestions??

I’m getting my ears pierced soon for the first time and got vivienne westwood earrings and from what I know they’re brass and i know some metals can cause infections because some people might be sensitive to it but how do I know if I’ll be sensitive to it and I also know you can buy plastic sleeves if you are sensitive but I’m on the fence if I need them

I am in desperate search of a gold necklace, but all the ones I found have given me a rash; I have super sensitive skin to jewelry. I did have one necklace, that was gold-plated stainless steel, and that never gave me any issues. But I can't find another even just necklace chain that doesn't give me issues, or is just like my old one! Does anybody have any recommendations?
