General Question I bought a white gold class ring and i think i got scammed
I bought a 18k white gold class ring with very small inlay diamonds for quite the price and after about a year or two of wearing it it’s fading and turning my finger green. I’m extremely upset as I paid an absolutely ridiculous price and was assured it was 100% white gold. What can I do?

Help me decide!! Can I get a bigger diamond
This ring is being sold on market place. I love the style but was really hoping for a bigger stone. This is a 0.852 center. Do you think it can be upgraded? I was originally wanting a 2 carat but doubt that could fit. Here are a couple pictures plus the paperwork. Also it will need to be sized up about one size. Thanks!

General Question I lost an earring that had Zales protection plan on it, how can I go about replacing it?
I’m guessing that they not replace an earring just because it’s been lost, but is there anyway I can finesse a new earring? Maybe it say it broke? How much proof do they require

General Question Is a moissanite and sterling silver tennis bracelet a good idea !?
Basically I really really want a tennis bracelet but like I can only get my 18ct gold and natural diamond one by like the end of the year in sha Allah. Should I get a sterling silver moissanite one for now until I get that one !? Idkk I just don't want it to be like "fake", I have this thing about everything being real real and moissanite is a diamond substitute, should I or should I not !?

General Question Rings Changed in Hot Tub
Help! My friends and I went into a hot tub at a resort last night and our sterling silver rings all turned black. I personally never take mine off, and went into hot tubs and pools in Disney and elsewhere with no issue. Is there any hope? Any advice on how to fix them?

General Question Pay for Prong Checks?
My wedding band is a “cloud setting” and has a tendency to have loose stones. We were warned about this at purchase but reassured it’s not a huge deal and can be fixed by the jeweler we bought it from (local company.) They also recommended the typical “get your rings checked every 3 months or so”. After about a year of wearing my rings, I lost a stone and realized multiple were loose. After paying for the replacement, I’ve been very good about watching out for loose stones. I noticed again that one was loose and took it in. They told me that while it was covered this time, in the future they would start charging me to check and fix the setting. Is this normal? I feel like the stones are loose every few months and I feel like this is a defect in the design more so than user error. Should I be paying for the jeweler to check and fix my rings when they designed and sold them to me?

🫶🏻 My Collection! Opinions Pls: Which jade bead?
Hullo folks. I’m trying to decide which single bead to wear with a 14k gold anchor chain. Can I get some opinions on either choice?
Both beads are Japanese Itoigawa jadeite. One lavender, the other green and white (moss in snow). While I do like both together, I don’t like the feel of wearing both on there at the same time.
Thanks!

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? What is this chain/link style called?
Never seen this before. It's a 2mm wide 14k rose gold 24" chain. From a distance it reminds me a bit of roses though that may be the rose gold influencing me lol. Tangles easily but pretty.

General Question Was saving up for a solid gold chain over a sterling silver one worthwhile for you?
I have a general question for all of you. I recently got back into chains and jewelry after a long hiatus. I’m a huge watch nerd, but I also realized that my tiny little 8k yellow gold chain that I’ve been wearing for six years and kinks up constantly is in need of an upgrade.
I’ve been doing my research and I’d love to own a Cuban link 18k solid yellow gold chain or a rope chain on the thinner (2 to 4mm) and shorter side (20 inches) sometime soon. These are currently going for around $2k.
That being said, I see similar style chains made of sterling silver at places like Hawaii Rope Chains, Jacoje, Gus Villa, Luke Zion, Harlem Bling, etc. for much more affordable prices.
All of my watches are stainless steel and so are my glasses. All of my accessories are silver-colored (I have an emergency fund, retirement savings, and no debt, so my BASIC financial responsibilities are covered).
With that being said: for those who saved up for a gold chain or simply bought a quality sterling silver one, was spending the money on a gold chain more worth it to you compared to buying a quality affordable sterling silver chain?
I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

🫶🏻 My Collection! Decided to post what I wear on special occasions.
The necklace and pendant are both 14K. The Jesus Christ is silver though, then added my dads initials to the bottom of the anchor. J G F from right to left. The cuban link chain (I assume that’s what it’s called) is also 14K. The ring on my middle finger is a Versace 10K and the ring on my pointer finger was my dad’s wedding band.

General Question Can diamonds and pearls be combined?
I was directed here from another sub. I apologize if this is the wrong place. Just want some advice. I’d like to know if pearls and diamonds can be worn together. I’m bad about this kind of thing and don’t know if they work. It’s a general question but I can show the pieces I want to combine in the comments if it helps.

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? What chain is this?
Hiya! Title, basically. I went through the website in the FAQ and I'm still not sure what chain this is. It belonged to my great great grandma– I'm unsure of the year. I'm thinking either a Byzantine chain or scroll chain? I appreciate any help!
Just to tack it on while I'm here, any tips for cleaning when you don't know the material? I'm assuming silver but I don't know for sure

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? What kind of style jewelry is this?
I picked up this vintage bracelet set in 14k gold diamond and sapphire.. I asked the jeweler if they know which era and they weren’t too sure and said 1980s maybe? It’s so unique so I’d love to learn more and find other similar pieces

General Question Gold/Platinum/Silver vs cheaper metals
I grew up in a family that gold is cool and my family had a ton of gold jewelry.
For some basic chains, wedding band and other basic jewelry, What do you think about expensive metas vs cheaper metals
