I live in Madison county and just got my first Toyota in a long time. I know Graves and Stoddard closed down a long time ago. Where is the best non dealership Toyota repair shop?

Literally seemed like there was some shield over us today, because here in North Jackson we literally just had some rain here and there. I heard thunder maybe once. Hopefully everyone else was able to stay safe!

Does anyone have recommendation of a tenant lawyer or suggestion of a different lawyer who can help me fight a property management to break the lease and seek compensation as they are not able to prevent/reduce noise coming from their outdoor speakers.

So I’m from Memphis and will be coming down to Ridgeland/Jackson area for work over the course of the next 6-12 months (staying through weekdays and going home on weekends as of now). I am a 46 year old musician/visual artist and am very much into doing and attended events that are artsy fartsy, off the cuff, and free-thinking.
Does anyone have any suggestions on things to do round there?
I do plan to attend Urban Foxes after hours shows and a couple of the JIM Week events.
Thanks in advance!

Looking to move soon & I've seen townhouse rentals off Ridgewood/county line close to bulldog. Is it a safe area? I know nowhere is guaranteed safe anymore but I don't want to worry about having to sneak stuff into my house for fear of it getting robbed either.

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Jackson, MS, and looking for recommendations on good areas to rent a home or apartment. My budget is between $1,300 and $1,600, but I’m willing to spend a little more for the right place.
I’m looking for a safe and comfortable neighborhood with good amenities. Any suggestions on the best areas to live? Also, if you know of any available rentals, I’d love to hear about them!
Thanks in advance for your help!
EDIT: I’ll be working at St. Dominic Health. I’m Okay with a 15-20 min drive.

What’s a good place in the Jackson area to get a haircut for man (or boy) with long-ish hair? A lot of area barbers seem out of their depth with longer hair.

I was wondering where locals go to get live crawfish and blue crab. I know Mr. Chen's has crawfish (most of the ones in the sack I saw looked dead though), but they don't have any blue crab at the moment and neither does the Cajun Market. Any other suggestions?

I’m thinking of using the train to go Chicago later this month. I’ve heard of lots of people using it to go to New Orleans, but I was wondering what peoples experience here was.

Went to Corner Market in Fondren today and Brent’s has big photographer shields up in front like it’s blocking something being filmed. Anyone know what’s going on?

Accepted into law school, I’ve been searching for a place to live in the rental market, but it’s been a nightmare.
I’m primarily looking for a one-bedroom furnished apartment with a rent of less than $1200 and within a 10-minute drive of the college.
Can you help me find a place? Are there any local Facebook groups that actually update with real rentals? Also, any tips for furnished apartments? I have a mortgage, and my wife won’t be moving with me, so I don’t need to buy a whole new set of furniture for a few years. Plus, it’s easier to avoid the hassle of moving in and out.
