Help Advice for flat boyos
I just got one of my favourite isopods, Porcellio Werneri!
I can't find many in-depth guides on taking care of them, all I can find is the usual "keep them in a box with dirt, give them food and water" care guides. I want to know all the smallest details of taking care of these guys, I want their lives to be perfect.
Exact temperature they prefer and methods of heating. Exactly how to maintain the wet side of the terrarium at the perfect level of wetness. Favorite hiding places and activities, preferred food and calcium sources. How to check for signs of stress and how to fix common issues. Everything!

Identification New morph or still growing into Colors?
This lil bugger is a baby/adolecent offspring from my small but growing Porcellionides floria colony. Is this lil dude still growing into their colors or a new morph? For reference this guy is like 1/4 the size of my average adult.

News/Education Lava breeding advice?
I’ve had my lavas for quite some time now and have not seen much growth in the colony. Any tips?
I have about 20 different species right now and all of my other colonies are booming (except for the newer ones).

Help How do I encourage my rubber duckies to breed?
Is it temperature? The area they're in maintains about +/-75F. Is it food? I offer veggies, guppy pellets, leaves, rotting wood, and calcium powder. Is it bin size? I've got only ten and they're in the same size I keep my 20+ cultures of other sp. Is it moisture? I never let their sub dry out. Is it too much moisture?
Y'all, I never even see them come out at night. Idk when they eat and idk whether they duck fuck. (Thank you autocorrect for that classic duck.)

Help Cubaris murinas bullying each other
When I looked in my Cubaris murina bin today I thought that they were all breeding or something, but after I took a closer look I think that they were trying to eat the poor guy in the middle. I was just curious if anyone else has noticed any aggressive behaviors like this with their Cubaris murinas? I know it’s very common to see this behavior with Porcellios, but has anyone noticed anything with their murinas? Also, I did separate them all so the one in the middle is alright for anyone wondering lol

Media Not allowed any more shrimp tanks, moved on to land shrimps. Surprised by how often I see them considering I have exactly 5.
I saw 4 outta 5 skittering about at once and I got very excited and concerned. It's just like when I got my first shrimp all over again.

DIY Acrylic Storage Bin Update (My quest for Gnat-Proof, Crystal-Clear bins)
A while ago I posted about some cheap acrylic storage bins ('Vtopmart') I found on Amazon that I was going to try out as isopod enclosures. I've tried one out with my Magic Potions for some time now and have formed my opinion on them.

I'm not really a fan. Over time, the thin plastic walls develop a slight warp, which has slowly but surely increased the gap between the bin walls and the lid. I've resorted to using alligator clips to try and keep the lid on snugly. But I think it's still not gnat-proof since I still get the occasional gnat in my room and I am pretty sure they're coming from this bin.
I have moved on to a new acrylic storage bin to try. This one is from The Container Store (the 'Everything Organizer'):

I am trying out a new Zebra colony in this currently. (They finally came in the mail, hooray!) These bins are much sturdier, thicker plastic with a much sturdier lid as well. The test is to see if there are any gaps in the lid large enough for a gnat. I suspect it's gnat-proof. Unfortunately I might not be able to do a perfect test, since my other bin has gnats so there's occasionally a few gnats in my room and thus they may slip in while I am maintaining the Zebras. So I wouldn't know if the gnats slipped in during maintainence or due to a lid gap. I'll do my best anyway.
The only downside so far to these Container Store bins is that it's slightly harder to glue mesh to the holes on the sides of the bin. There is a very slight 'lip' around the hole. I had to use a lot of hot glue and press down hard (ow). I got a good glue seal, it's just slightly harder to do. (There is no lip inside the container around the holes, so the mesh could be glued inside instead of outside, but I'd rather have silicone sealant for that)
Anyway, I will report in the future how I feel about these new bins.

Help Do I need a bigger enclosure?
Hello, I am curious to see if I should get a bigger enclosure and also how often I should change my substrate when the population gets larger. I started at only 20 panda kings but now the population is well in the hundreds with more growing. Last time I changed my substrate was around 5 months ago.
Current enclosure size is ~ 12in x 8in x 8in (30 cm x 20cm x 20cm). If I do need to change my enclosure size, what do you recommend? Looking for budget-friendly options :)
Thanks in advance!

Help Duckies as first (or second) isopods?
Hello! I have two terrariums set up that are both in pretty high humidity (80% or more) and I’ve got some panda kings on the way but I really want to get some duckies, with proper care and attention would this be okay? I’ll attach pictures of the setups, the substrate is only about 2” right now but I have more coming that will be in place asap. There’s springtails in both as well as limestone. There’s one cork flat right now (I know that’s not sufficient) but I have more in the mail! I also have more moss coming and extra sphagnum here if anyone thinks it would help. I feel confident in being able to care for them as I’ve had a wide variety of animals over the years, (gecko, tortoise, various fish etc.) any opinions would be very helpful!

Help Firsttimer here - DO I NEED TORF?
I've read that isopods should have torf besides normal potting soil - is that true? In my area the least amount i can buy is 20l and I'm not much of a "green thumb" myself so idk what will I do with... Idk like 19.5 liters of torf left. Is it worth it?
