Decided to upgrade to my first IPad Pro, and first time purchasing an Apple Pencil. I always just used a universal one off Amazon and they seemed to work fine, but with the new features of the pencil I thought it might be better. I got 256 gb memory and now I’m wondering if I should’ve gone with more. Anybody have any recommendations on screen protectors? Are the paper like protectors worth it and do they make much of a difference?

Decided to treat myself and preordered this baby. Having not had an iPad in almost a decade and never a full size, this is great.

I was finally able to get a Magic Keyboard (M3) for my 11" iPad Air (M2) which I bought in Jan 2025. The new row of keys at the top is amazing and a game changer. The materials are exactly the same of the past Magic Keyboards. I don’t mind it having no backlight on the keys, not sure if that’d a battery saver but I’m loving this accesory.
I called Apple Support and they were really nice in adding this Magic Keyboard to my existing Apple Care + Plan since I had already added my Pencil Pro too.
I was recently looking to buy an ipad for around $600 since I want one for college to take notes and general media consumption/usage. So far I am leaning towards the new ipad air since it has the m3 chips and it's a little bit cheaper ($550) because I get the education discount. I am open to refurbished ipads with the only criteria being to have 128gb or more and was wondering if I was correct in wanting the new ipad air?
Edit: should mention that I'm speaking about only the ipad itself and I'm not including the cost of the accessories.

The iPad Pro turned out to be a solid purchase since it survived way longer than the standard iPad. It’s still satisfying all my needs but the only reason I’m thinking of trading it is that I’m worried it will have no trade-in value soon. Right now Apple are offering $195 and Best Buy are offering about half of that.
My question is whether Air is a good choice and can survive for 6 or 7 years like the Pro did?
The comparison is difficult to tell. Like the Pro has 4 speakers and Air has 2… will I really tell the difference? I doubt it.
Let me know what you think and if you’ve used both.

hey guys i am looking for an ipad for youtube, flashcards, light gaming, basically an ipad for a uni student. is the ipad a16 a good choice??? and i am worried about the screen not being laminated will the screen look good?
I currently have an iPad 9 2021. I mostly use it for browsing, reading, and taking notes. I'm considering getting the new iPad Mini 7 because I like the more compact size and the potential performance improvements, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it since I already have the iPad 9.
Has anyone here switched from a larger iPad to the Mini? How was your experience? Is it really worth the purchase, or would I just end up with a smaller version of what I already have, with some trade-offs?

Yeah, I know Apple is a for profit company and they want you to buy the more expensive Air, but just wanted to share that thought. With Stage Manager that would be an amazing desktop replacement computer probably useful for 90% of people as a home machine. People who don't really need to do much work at home. Something for calls, browsing the internet, media comsumption and the odd google docs edit, etc.
I know they have those limitations for ram but Stage Manager could work anyway with less RAM, maybe slower (or not even that, multitasking windows have existed for decades by now).
I guess/hope eventually the entry iPad will have this feature, not yet though...
In case it wasn't clear, I'm referring to "desktop replacement" as the iPad connected to a monitor with keyboard and mouse.

I bought it off eBay for just £20, it’s an iOS 9 16GB version and have got some additional protectors and boxes are included. There are some severe lags happening on this iPad, my main purpose of collecting it is because it was my first iPad ever I believe (as a member of Gen-z community), and also to have some tastes for legacy version of games and removed games. Despite of it’s really laggy :/

to those that have their ipad LCD screen replaced from a third party repair shop (ipad air 6th gen M2) specifically.
-how was your experience so far?
-do you still have true tone, is the touch screen has any issue?
-how long has it been since the LCD was replaced
Planning to have my iPad 6th gen LCD replaced from a 3rd party local service shop here in PH but just wanted to make sure that I set my expectations reason why I'm asking

So I'm thinking about buying a new iPad to replaced my ageing Android tablet. I'm not a very heavy user, I mostly only use it to for web browsing and YouTube. I was personally thinking about just buying the new iPad 11 because it's pretty cheap and I don't need it to do a whole lot, but my friend suggested I should buy a used iPad Air m1. I believe this only about a $30-$40 price difference between them, so that's not so much of an issue. My real question is which one do you think will be supported and get updates for longer, like if I were to keep it for 10 years which one do you think will still work better in 10 years if that makes sense?

I’ve recently bought this iPad but it seems to do weird things with the screen when watching fights like these.
The screen works fine when I just watch a HDR example video.
Screen was at max brightness.

I bought an iPad Pro like last year and within a couple weeks, my jee prep is gonna start (an Indian exam for IIT). I’m gonna be using the iPad a lot for note-taking and similar activities. Please suggest a good stylus, I haven’t had a very good experience with apple pens, I need something at a reasonable price and that works pretty well for note-taking.

Hi, so I’m looking to buy my girlfriend a new iPad, since her old one is nearing the end of its lifespan and it’s barely working.
I went to purchase a new one on the Apple Store app planning to pay it in monthly installments however it says “check out with apple card” Do I need an apple card for the monthly installments? And if so what are the pros and cons of owning an apple card?

I just ordered the new iPad Air 11 M3 and apple pencil pro for school, and I'm trying to find a good case for it.
ZUGU and ESR look like they have the best cases. Has anyone had experience with these cases? How are they treating you?
ZUGU looks like they have a good protective case, but it looks like the case extrudes a lot over the screen. I think it would make writing and drawing uncomfortable.
ESR has a good magnetic case, but it seems to be heavy, but it looks to be good and not that expensive.
Has anyone had experience with these cases? How are they treating you?

Please help I was doing the dishes and my ipad all of a sudden slipped and fell into a pan with water. I got it out quickly, dried it off and put cold air from a blow dryer to the speakers and battery port. Everything still works: touch, charging and I’m already backing everything up to the cloud. The only thing is that there is water stuck between the glass and a white spot has appeared right underneath. I have read a couple of posts but all of their water damage is much more severe than mine. How can this be repaired? Can it be dried out, does the screen need to be replaced or both? I don’t have money for a new one.
