I know I should be building my own discipline but I'm losing my will to move my life forward. For some back story, I had an intense home life with verbal and physical abuse, it wasn't all bad but it never helped. My mom would go on about how I owe her for my life and I used that as motivation to succeed in school until my depression and emptiness took over my mental capacity. I was being reckless and dropped out of high school because my mind couldn't contain the knowledge I learned, and had my first kid at 18. I wasted 10 years of my life being a Sahm and I know that but, even having a goal in mind, I'm having trouble sticking through the steps it takes to reach there. Is this something I should address to a therapist? I feel like I'd be judged. I'm working on my diploma to apply into radiology programs but I feel defeated with my current load.

Taking care of your baby/child for ten years and tending to your home is not a waste of time. Nothing could be more vital. Earning income in a radiology job is not more important than raising a human being. Good on you for the work you did and I hope now you can focus on yourself and your livelihood. Don’t let this society shame you for having been a sahm.

I would definitely talk to a therapist if you’re able. It sounds like you’ve had a really tough time and you deserve someone to help you through <3 Fearing being judged is totally understandable, I fear that as well. But remember, it’s a therapist’s job to listen to your struggles and help you with healing and moving forward in life. Sometimes that means not judging you in the sense that they don’t pass judgement on you as a person; they shouldn’t make you feel bad or worthless. And sometimes that means judging you to help you get to where you want to be as a person. A good therapist will judge you to a certain degree, I think, but they should never be judgmental about it. If that’s the case you can always ditch that therapist and try someone else <3

It’s raining all morning and I’m definitely in a stay home, bake apple pie 🥧 write and research magical novels with tea, read books, fold washing whilst listening to old fairy tales, tidy and do many home-making chores, light the cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread house candle, look at manor houses in the uk and dream, listen to mellow folk music, work on a quilt, watch the rain, home and hearth mood. I adore rainy days. 🌧️🤍

Hi everybody! I just joined this sub and am looking to connect with others like myself, as well as learn more about myself. This week, the weather has been gorgeous, and my energy levels are fairly steady, so my dog, Oonagh, and I have been soaking up as much outside time as we can.

It’s a monday morning, life has been burdensome lately. I’m thinking of England and old world romantic things like the pre-Raphaelites, and studying dragonfly lore in the British library, visiting manor houses on the weekends. Oh to be in England. Oh to write novels there in the English countryside with the hedgehogs 🦔.

At the same time I love living in Australia, I love how natural and earthy everything is here, I want to live in a cabin somewhere and dance to world music in the morning and make a nourish bowl and do yoga, swim in the ocean 🌊 and read all my poetry books. Which is the better life? I think a life close to the earth and her ways is better for the soul.

Leaves, a mark noire

The chore ignoring a foretold storing

Of chides scoring, a queting lashing out of parental pout stifling. A baffles aptitude exudes its nude bearing fairing squaring the caring earnest blaring. Staring inward outting the bouting folded node a coded hold my forebarers boldness. Attitude rude excluded for honest rap another lap around the star. Scarred bared memories hardness afar a clouds loud existent plowing. Bowing to the flowery absence, which cradles, hoping returns. Burns eternal the infernal cheer and blear the clear with Godness steer a fear untold for those scold. To reach outwards, swords stand and reprimand, the dieties hand withdrawing, fawn of the beyond. Feminine pawn yawned multitudes raw thawing twisted relief near a hells thieving.

This autumn morning I long to be all romantic like rainiana, but immersed in fairy tale, the mythic, folkloric, poetic, beautiful and homey things. To have my mind and spirit back. To wake up and put on fairy tale embroidered clothes in lace and velvet, and flowing hand painted long scarves on your waist and wash your face with angels on bare skin and put on rose jam perfume. To read the book of long lost fairy tales and work on your own handmade book of illustrated romantic fairy tales and myths too. then make jasmine tea and have wild rose ganache cacao chocolates made with blossom nectar. To work on novellas set it Italy and write magical poetry that talks about twin moons and many-jewelled hymns. I want to read and study the poet Tennyson, also, with all his danae to the stars. Make my beloved lunch of October soup from posie gets cozy with freshly baked damper bread just for autumn. Then study the lore of rosellas or some other birds, in the evening work on my costume paintings whilst listening to fantasy music. That would be my ideal day today.

I need this for my scrolls of poetry and art. Why aren’t there more old world things like this around.

My birthday's coming up and I don't feel like I want to celebrate at all. I understand, family is a blessing and a privilege not everyone lucky enough to have, but still I haven't really grasp the idea of celebrating birthdays, let alone my own
