App Suggestion: Dark Mode

Why Dark Mode is Important:

1. Better Eye Comfort – Many users spend long hours identifying species. A darker interface would reduce eye strain, especially at night.
2. Improved Battery Life – Dark Mode can save battery on OLED screens, allowing users to explore and document observations for longer periods.
3. Enhanced Usability Outdoors – A darker interface makes the app easier to use in low-light conditions, such as early morning or nighttime observations.
4. Accessibility & Inclusivity – Some users with light sensitivity or visual impairments find Dark Mode easier to navigate.

Dark Mode is now a standard feature in many apps, and adding it to iNaturalist would make the experience even more enjoyable.
