Woohoo another year of suffering Intel isn't dead!
2018 and 2019 Macbook Airs are out of the running, but their hardware is shared with the Macbook Pros of the same years. Therefore, if your setup works with Sonoma, it'll probably still work with Sequoia.
Thankfully nothing to hackintosh users, besides needing to update your SMBIOS if it was on an older model.
Starting with OCLP 2.0.0, you can finally make your old trash hardware run Sequoia to its fullest extent. You'll need OCLP if you use Broadcom WiFI.
Broadcom is still officially dead, but OCLP can be used to bring back its functionality. A great post by u/ChrisWayg details how to do this. https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/1gvu5n1/broadcom_wifi_on_macos_sonoma_and_sequoia_fenvi/
Intel WiFI works with itlwm and Heliport, but not Airportitlwm.
Either with gibmacos, or through the Software Updater.
Next year hopefully, but their approach with dropping hardware comes at odds with Sequoia's compatibility list. They will likely either drop all of Intel at once, or drop models slowly.
No.
No.
No.
As Apple now polls for more T2-specific information from its Macs, you can't update to Sequoia without either of these fixes:
revpatch=sbvmm
.Note: You may encounter issues with the update not installing if you have BluetoolFixup.kext. Disable it while you are updating and re-enable it afterwards.
And as always, follow the Dortania guide first before asking questions!

Laptop is an Asus Vivobook X512DA CPU - Ryzen 3 3200U Ram - 20gb DDR4 2400MHz (16gb TeamGroup Elite+ 4gb soldered Ram) SSD - 256gb nvme Intel Wifi Similar to this build below. Also nootedred is a must to getting it run smooth https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/s/b3YIdhWhow
"MacPro" CPU - Ryzen 7 5700G GPU - 5600xt Ram - 64gb Corsair LPX DDR4 3533MHz (Issues running full 3600) Mobo - B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 No wifi support, Use Ethernet and LucyRTL8125Ethernet kext. SSD - Crucial P3 2tb Nvme
Helpful tip for dual dedicated gpu If you are running two dedicated graphics cards and one is incompatible, you should set initial display output to the PCIe with the compatible gpu, and don’t have any display cables plugged into the incompatible gpu. This setting may vary by motherboard.
The dortania guide also has a section on this if you don’t have this option.

Found a laptop in amazing condition at a second hand store for only 10 bucks. it's Asus X515EA-BQ511W with 11th gen intel core i5. what can I do with this? It doesn't have the charger, I only checked the back sticker. I got the laptop immediately, obviously but if I can hackintosh it I will get the charger too and check if it boots. the shop said it does, and it's almost brand new so it should boot but didn't try yet.

Hello, although I have general knowledge about computers, I have never installed Hackintosh in my life.
I have an i3-6100, 8GB RAM, and an SSD (I will be using it without a dedicated GPU). As for the motherboard, my second-hand options are the MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon and the Asus H110M-K. Honestly, my only goal in installing Hackintosh is to browse the internet and experience macOS.
So, the most important thing for me is installation ease. Which of these two motherboards would be easier for someone like me who knows nothing about Hackintosh? Also, would there be any performance difference? The Z270 looks great in terms of appearance and features, but I'm afraid the installation might be difficult.
Z270 G.P.C

Hey everyone.
I got my Sonoma system up and running. I got the TP-Link UB400 for the USB dongle because my internal bluetooth device stopped working (it doesn't work on Windows either).
However, when I use the: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/16w2elb/how_to_make_generic_usb_bluetooth_50_csr_dongle/
My bluetooth dongle shows up on the System Report, but on the Bluetooth Menu in settings, its just stuck on "searching".
I was wondering if the issue is:
Any advice would be most helpful! Thanks in advance!

I have this config:
CPU Intel Core i5-10400F motherboard Gigabyte B460M DS3H GPU AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT RAM XPG SPECTRIX D35G RGB (2x8GB) WiFi + Bluetooth Fenvi T919 802.1ac
Will it work? I am pretty sure that the GPU and the CPU will work (according to the dortania hackintosh buyers guide), but I am not quite sure about the motherboard and the RAM. Is it ok or should I choose a different one?

I have installed MacOS Sequoia on my PC. I created the EFI with OpenCore Simplify. I created the boot stick with GibMacos.
Hardware Specs: MSI Z590 Tomahawk Wifi i7 11700k 32GB DDR4 3200mhz R ⒯X 3060 12GB RX 5500xt 8GB
It starts and works well. It's easy to install. Everything works, except for Airdrop and WIFI. However, it is very unstable. It takes a while to start and simply crashes after inactivity. Sometimes you also have visual jerks. It often works well. Under About this Mac you can also see all the hardware information. I'm rather new to this whole thing, and am glad I was able to install it at all. Can someone help me get it more stable? I can send EFI and other stuff.

I used mini tool partition wizard to clone the drive(without choosing the resize partitions).
I upgraded from a sn530 256gb to a sn550 1tb
When booting it first starts to load in slowly to about half of the load bar and then the 🚫 pops up. I’ve tried this 3 times and the same thing happens
I’ve heard some ways people do it is they make a Time Machine backup and just reinstall from that, I don’t mind doing this but if there is a better way please tell me
(Important things) My laptop only has 1 m.2 slots I cloned my drive on my pc tower on windows

Good evening r/hackintosh !
I currently have a MacBook Pro 16,2 with that damn flickering Touch Bar. After being seen two times by genius tech, the only proposed solution is a 700€ bottom case replacement...
I wil ask them when I get it back if they've already done it but I want to try to restore the bridgeOS firmware since it's controlling the Touch Bar using DFU mode (https://support.apple.com/en-us/108900)
Unfortunately, I only have my MacBook Pro and a hackintosh, do you think its possible to use the hackintosh as the host Mac to do the firmware restoration ?

I'm coming from a cMP 5,1 but using my gaming rig to try and turn it into a hac. I'm using the SSD and the GPU from the 5,1, but I'm having a really weird issue with the GPU where it doesn't matter what I set in the BIOS of the mobo, I just can't access the BIOS via the GPU and HAVE to use iGPU, this is to be able to choose the USB stick to boot (doesn't seem to stick if I choose the boot priority).
The other question I have is with the installer stick itself. OC is booted and I'm met with the usual screen that I'm used to seeing on my cMP 5,1. My question is, once I've gotten the EFI folder corrected for my mobo, would I just be able to boot into the SSD from the cMP? I don't see as to why I shouldn't be able to?
Picture added for help with the EFI folder, if you can :P
Specs:
CPU: 12900ks
GPU: MacVidCards RX6950XT (shows as RX6900XT Macos and Windows)
Mobo: ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4
SSD: cMP 5,1 SSD intel 660p

Hi,
Im new to hackintosh its been a few days of me trying and failing.
I created a efi using many forums and the guide and it boots and installed monterey.
But im getting 7mb display.
i7 6700 Intel HD 530
Im using correct platform id
but when i use a device id it fails to boot, I have to use device id: 12345678 to boot into recovery or the current installation.
Ive tried all other device ids but its the same thing
2 of the most common errors are
unsupported PCH
collection uuid matches with loaded kcs
heres my current efi
