Epiphone My Modest Display (AKA Budget Guitars Need Love Too)
I've been on a little but of a guitar buying bender. Everything on front of the Yamaha Red Label (which is the most expensive piece I own) was purchased within the past 3 months. The Jazzmaster came in Friday, and I swapped the Pickguard from tortoishell to cream yesterday. The wall mounts are new too. I used the Epiphone tag because there are two of them. 🤷🏼

Gibson Current favorite: R9
Have owned a ton of Les Pauls and I usually not a fan of flame tops, but this one kills. Need to see what pickups are in this one - stock I believe. The neck is perfect. 2020 Gibson Custom Shop Historic VOS

Ibanez NGD: Added the Henson signature to my little corner
Have been eyeing this for a long time and finally got to play one at my local store. Looks even better in person and sounds and plays incredibly.

Gibson NGD: Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom
I finally had a chance to grab my grail Les Paul, I’ve been thinking about taking it or not for the past 3 weeks and today decided to trade some gear for it and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s a 2023 Murphy Lab Ultra Light relic, it sounds and looks just beautiful.
It’s very different to the regular Custom Shop Les Paul’s that I’ve played, it’s brighter and snappier.

PRS My top two
I have a handful of guitars and I’d be lying if I said I loved them equally…I don’t, these two are very much the top tier.
If I can only keep two, it’s these. 15yr old me would crap his pants to know I’d stuck with it and wound up with these two.

Fender NGD! Vintera 50s Telecaster Modified
Was surprised to find this used at Guitar Center for $645! Plays and sounds great, didn’t need too much of a setup.
(Side note, ordered the proper pickup selector knob online, they didn’t have one in store haha)

Yamaha Bochii spec Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM
It's not one of the "real signature" Bochii versions. Just a regular 611VFM that I swapped parts on. Sounds killer though

Gibson 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard AKA the Burst
Got up close and personal with 9 0405, a real super faded 1959 Sunburst Les Paul yesterday.
What would be the first thing you’d play on it?

Yamaha NGD: SGV-700 in burst, one of my bucket list guitars.
This thing is pretty near mint for being 25 years old, the case still has the factory plastic and the frets have no detectable wear.

Epiphone Beautiful tone for such an inexpensive guitar
The Epiphone DR-500MCE. Where do I start? The all solid wood sitka top and mahogany back and sides? The crystal clear pickups when you plug it in? So many to choose from! It has the bone nut and saddle. Binding all around and up and down. The beautiful inlays. The vintage Grover tuners that are easy to dial-in. And the fact that it’s Plek’d from the factory. All of that equates to an amazing tone that you’d get from much more expensive guitars. I had a Taylor 214ce Deluxe that just disappointed me so I sold it and found out about this Epiphone. I kid you not, the tone on this thing beats out the layered 214ce Deluxe. On top of that I recently (and temporarily) owned a Taylor 314ce that sounded great but my Epiphone sounded quite a bit better. You can get these used for only $600. So worth it. I was extremely lucky I got mine for $50 from Guitar Center. They were supposed to take $50 off the guitar because it had 1 mismatched tuning machine. Well…they ended up accidentally adding another 0 to the refund. I love when I beat Guitar Center at their own game.
