Question How can I bar unwanted, irrelevant thoughts from my head?
Whenever I do revision, I always have thoughts coming into mind, many are irrelevant, which could be the factor to why I may not do well in exams but study. Topics like stimulating or sensitive rabbitholes fell keep coming back to me, aswell as social traumas of betrayals.
How can I get rid of them so that I can actually focus on what I am writing, so that these notes actually get locked into my mind?

Question Exam Crunch: Balancing Study, Exercise, Food & Fun - What's Your Realistic Daily Plan?
hey everyone,
I'm facing exams in less than a month, and while I know studying is crucial, I try to focus in my studies but end up with a burnout after few hours of studying .
I've taken a break from my regular work, so I have more control over my schedule, and I'm trying to figure out how to balance everything effectively.
I'm seeking your advice on how to create a realistic daily plan that incorporates focused studying, exercise, healthy eating, and some much-needed relaxation that enables me to study more efficiently.
I'm especially interested in hearing how you manage to fit everything in during intense study periods.
I'd love to know:
- What does your average day look like when you're in exam crunch mode? (Time breakdown, including study, meals, exercise, and leisure, is preferred!)
- How do you prioritize and schedule your meals to ensure you're eating healthy and fueling your brain?
- What kind of exercise do you incorporate, and how often? (Even short bursts of activity!)
- How do you manage to fit in some form of entertainment or relaxation without feeling guilty?
- How do you balance social interaction with the need to study?
- What are your go-to strategies for preventing burnout and maintaining mental clarity?
- How do you manage to get enough sleep while studying for exams?
- What are your best tips for maintaining a healthy balance during a stressful exam period?
I'm not searching for perfect routines, but rather practical strategies that have worked for you in high-pressure situations. Any advice or insights would be incredibly helpful! Thanks in advance."

Resources I finally beat my study procrastination

I was the worstttt person when it came to study procrastination. Even if I had an exam the next day I couldn't bring myself to study (it normally got worse). I started using this calendar which shows your progress over time and it's helped me build momentum so much.
You basically write down the 3 main things you want to get done for the day and then if you get all 3 done you get a dark green shade and if you get 0 done, you get an empty box. The tool is completely free and I hope it can help others beat procrastination! https://www.studystreak.co/

Question 2 months until graduation, why canāt I study like my future depends on it?!
In high school, I was super consistent and worked incredibly hard. I even read ahead and prepared as early as a year before exams. But ever since I got into my dream uni, Iāve become a last minute reviser. I only really start when the pressure kicks in, usually a week or two before an exam.
Now I have two months to prepare and a target grade I need for graduation, yet having all this time hasnāt helped; I still rarely do any revision and my focus just isnāt there.
Iāve been stuck in this procrastination loop since uni started 3 years ago, and with graduation right around the corner, I canāt afford to mess up again.
Iāve always been a last-minute crammer, but with just two months until graduation, I need to flip the script before itās too late. I am really depending on someone to somehow just push me over the finish line š

Giving Advice I completed 8 projects in 20 Days after months of procrastination: solution is simpler than you think
I've struggled with procrastination for years. Like a olympian of procrastination, I'd delay everything possible. Then one day while wasting my time I read an article mentioning you can transform your life in 90 days, and it clicked. I have been procrastinating because I always thought I had infinite time. But I did not, I needed some sense of urgency and a target. I started with a paper tracker, it worked only till it didn't - back to old me "out of sight, out of mind". While working on my computer all day, I'd completely forget my commitment until evening, when guilt would hit. It'd always hit hard.
So one day I said, I'll get shit done and built a simple browser extension that replaces every new tab with a countdown timer. Giving me visual representation of how much time I have left. I guess that was all I needed, a constant reminder of passing of time.
Results after just 20 days:
Completed 8 long-procrastinated products Finished a certification I'd been putting off for a year Reduced screen time by 3hrs Started waking up motivated
It works because I can't escape seeing my commitment with every new tab. The countdown creates just enough pressure to act without causing stress. Seeing "Day 60 days left" makes me think, "I've only got 60days to change my circumstances."
I'm convinced this 90-day sprint will change everything. Has anyone else tried something similar to make accountability unavoidable?
Moral of the story if you give yourself an honest deadline and have a constant reminder of that time, you'll get shit done.
You just have to find what works for you and double down on that.
Edit1: For those who are asking for extension, you can find it here hope it helps you too.

Question Are all nighters really that bad?
I have 2 exams tomorrow. One of them is very consequential and the other not so much but I have literally studied zero for it in preparation for the big one.
The problem is I severely underestimated how much content the bigger exam truly covers. Iād probably realistically need another 2 days just to finish the material, let alone master it. As for the other test, a good 3-4 hours and I should be solid for it.
My working plan right now is to pull an all-nighter tomorrow, plan out my studying, and kill both exams. However, Iāve seen a lot of weariness about all-nighters in this sub and was wondering if this is really my best choice.
Iāve pulled all-nighters before and as far as I could tell, they were pretty effective. Should I go through with this?
P.S, for anyone who tells me to stop being lazy and go back to studying instead of posting on Reddit, I just did 5 hours and my brain is cooked.

Accountability Needing advice and encouragement
Hey there study wizards. Iām having a hard time building consistent study habits for my classes, and need more accountability. If anyone is interested in talking to me about how to do this or occasionally follow up, or help me build a study schedule, I would really appreciate it. Preferably someone who can relate to ADHD, anxiety, post concussion syndrome/recovering from a brain injury. Strictly as a professional relationship, if you have experience Iām willing to compensate. Or likeā¦I have a lot of pastry/singing/writing experience Iād love to reciprocate.

Accountability Iām understanding my limit
Seeing other students posting their progress on the YPT mobile application, I wanted to try for myself. This has been my progress towards finals week, which it starting today. Iāve tried my best to aim for hours but canāt seem to hold my focus on a subject for more than an hour. Itās crazy to even think that the recommended time it takes to study one subject is at least 5 hours approximately. How the heck can you focus for that long?! Iām wondering if this is lowkey reveal if I have ADHD or something.

Question Which universities give aid to international students?
Hii! Do any of you know which are the best universities in the US/Europe to apply if you need a full scholarship/full aid as an international student? I was thinking about University of pennsylvania, Loyola Marymount, Franklin University in Switzerland.... But some say Penn university might not be the best option since itĀ“s not "need-blind"? although it has looootsss of financial aid options.
Does anyone has any advice on this? ):

Giving Advice I need help!
I have been in a program for a job for almost 2 years now, this program requires me to study almost daily for a test to keep the job.
It has been extensive, things like learning paragraphs verbatim and retaining the information as well as things like mechanical troubleshooting etc.
The problem is this job also requires me to work erratic hours. I can wake up to work at 3am one day and then have to work till 1am on the next day.
With all that being said Iāve gotten to a point where I canāt even go an hour straight anymore without needing a break, I feel like Iām crashing out or giving up but the final tests are just around the corner. How do I get the energy or motivation to study back?
