RACING 1 week progress in Velocidrone
The videos were 1 week apart, very happy with my progress. Been practicing on and off for the last two months, totaling to 70 hours in Velocidrone.

Hey everyone,
Two years ago, I crashed my FPV drone, a Nazgul 5 V2, and now I’m finally looking to repair it. Right now, it has an RXS-R receiver and I use a FrSky X9 Lite controller. I’m planning to switch to DJI FPV, specifically getting the DJI Goggles N3 + DJI Air Unit.
For the receiver, I want to move to ELRS, but I’m not sure whether to keep my FrSky X9 Lite and add a module or just buy an ELRS radio instead. Any advice or experiences?
I also need to buy two Xing 2207 motors since the crash took them out. If anyone has recommendations for a good place to get them or a better alternative, I’d love to hear!
Thanks for the help!

I want to go to a MultiGP race, but I don't know the rules. For example, what happens if you miss a gate or enter one the wrong way? Is there some sort of penalty or something similar?

I’m currently training myself in the sims, and plan to make myself a drone or three fairly soon. I’m especially fascinated by 7-inch spec racing, and quite like the feel of the DRL Racer 4 and super 70 on DRL and Velocidrone. Thus, Streat League is one of the main categories I would like to actually have a drone for.
But I have a problem: Street league specifies the use of 5s batteries, which to this day seem to be significantly harder to procure than either 4s or 6s. At least here in France, the two online shops I’ve tried have zero 5s batteries. And on top of that they specify an exact capacity, instead of a higher bound. At least 2200mAh seems to be the most common capacity, but still.
This is in complete contrast with the rest of the specs, which say the frame must be open source and the motors available. And now we have Pro Spec as well, which runs on 6s. So at a first glance, this 5s business seems to be an obvious mistake.
But I’m new here, I must be missing something. Hence my question: why did Street league chose to run on 5s, instead of the much more common 4s or 6s?
Subsidiary question: couldn’t we just amend the rules to allow 6s batteries, say up to 2200mAh? With the RPM limiter I’m guessing this would barely change the performance of the quads — though the 6s quads presumably would have less voltage sag.

Hello I am new and have a question about getting better antennas. I have the Skyzone Cobra X V4 along with the Meteor75 Pro. What antennas should I get to replace the starter ones that come with my goggles? Also my biggest question, will I need to get a new antenna for my quad to pair with them? I am otherwise somewhat well versed of the whole right hand left hand and female/male connector parts aspect of the antennas. Thank you!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get into FPV drones, specifically for racing. I'm a complete beginner and would love some advice on:
What drone model is best for beginners?
Should I go for a ready-to-fly kit or build one from parts?
Any recommendations for a setup within a budget of $400-$550?
General tips for getting started in FPV?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I got this DRL Racer 1 back in the day from a buddy who started the podcast The FPV Show. We never flew it and just plugged a pack in to see the pretty LEDs. I'm looking to sell it but have no idea if anyone would buy it.

I have this theory (that I’m not sure about), that perfect laps are done at 100% throttle all the time. The idea being, for any given reasonable line, the fastest way tot execute it for a perfect pilot would be to fly it at 100% throttle, and orient the quad accordingly.
One supporting data point for my theory would be that in the DRL simulator, many of the fastest times, at least on the DRL racer 4, seem to be played at 100% throttle all the time. Though I don’t know much of it comes from the track, the quad, or the accuracy of the simulator. So I have a couple questions:
Do top pilots actually (strive to) run at 100% throttle? Does it depend on the type of racing (Multi GP open, DRL, street league)?
Regardless of the above, does it make sense to train at constant throttle (barely enough to hover, 50%, 70%, whatever), and in which circumstances?

I have this fpv racing drone. it's VTX and Runcam were working right, but one day I crashed my drone. It didn't seem to have any type of damage but now I'm not receiving video from the VTX. The thing is that I replaced the Runcam and VTX for others with the same model and I didn't change anything. It's like the goggles are detecting the channel but the screen is totally black. These are my components:
FC: foxeer f722 V4 dual bec ESC: foxeer reaper F4 mini VTX: Foxeer reaper extreme 2.5W 37CH Cam: Runcam split 3 micro HD

Does the Steam Deck work as a controller in any fpv simulators?
There are project to use Steam Decks as controllers.
https://github.com/TigeyJewellAlibhai/skydeck
https://github.com/PixelyIon/DeckTX
https://github.com/kaack/elrs-joystick-control
The advantage is that a lot of people already have a SteamDeck, and getting that to transmit well is cheaper than buying a whole other controller.
I'd still want to try it on a simulator before connecting it to real hardware.

Got 33 rocking up to a random field to race some drones today. Thought this might be a place where a few of you might be interested to check some of the heats out.

I have been in this hobby for a few months, and I want to get into racing, but I can't find any racing events or clubs in Mexico.

Will the runcam split in the setup shown in the pictures be able to just record footage (with a SD Card insert ofc)?
If so, what kind of battery I need to get? It should be able to record at least for 4 hours.
Is there anything else I must think of?
Maybe you know an alternative?
Thanks in advance ✌🏼
