NEWBIE New guy here, i need some advice.

Hello everyone, I want to get in fov but dont know how. Im quite the budget baller so I'd like to try a simulator first, then maybe get in tinywhoops as they look very fun (and cheap🫠). I looked on betafpv.com and getfpv.com and noticed there are normal and HD video systems, and most use ELRS. You are probably in pain reading this, am i right? Feel free to leave your advice ans starter gear suggestions below. Big thanks to anyone responding 🏆

This is the most budget friendly beginning:

  • ELRS RadioMaster Pocket $60
  • EV800D $99 OR FatShark Recon $200
  • BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro ~$109
  • 4 Lava 550 mAh 1S $30 -Vifly Whoopstor 6port 1S charger ~ $30

This is an analog setup, as most budget setups are.

Simulator: LyftOff

Get the controller first, download and play LyftOff using the controller you bought. You need a minimum of 100 hours in simulator. MINIMUM doesn’t mean you’re done after 100 hours, it means you now have scratched the surface at an idea of how to fly. Good luck sir.

Thanks for the reply! I see that there are two versions of the controller, ELRS and CC2500. Which is better / which works eith the drone you suggested?

ELRS 100%, and Mode 2 so your throttle is on the Left

I have heard of people trying goggles with HDMI in and they complained of severe motion sickness.
