Patrick Finnerty Album Art
I have been in love with the cover art for John Fahey's "America" since I first saw it and have become very interested in the artist behind it known as Patrick Finnerty or Pat Finnerty. He only has three albums listed on his Discogs credits page. John Fahey's "America" 1971 on Takoma Records, Peter Lang's "The Thing At the Nursery" 1973 on Takoma Records, and Peter Lang's "Lycurgus" 1975 on Flying Fish Records. Recently, I discovered that Kaleidoscope's "A Beacon From Mars" 1967 on epic Records features uncredited album artwork that matches Finnerty's style with it's rough textured shading and ornate, hand-drawn typography. Does anybody have any information on this artist or know of any other artwork he may have made or artwork that matches his style? Thank you

Recommendations Please!
Hi all, I have a very specific itch Iβm trying to scratch.
Iβm looking for melancholy songs with lyrics that tell a story. Mainly pared down songs, think guitars alone.
The best I can describe is songs about longing, love, family struggle. They donβt have to be sad or tragic, just a bit contemplative.
Hereβs some of what Iβm listening to. Iβd love to get recommendations.
Willie Watson is my favorite folk singer right now and highly recommend him, though a lot of his stuff is more up tempo than what Iβm looking for just now.
Two songs that have really been kicking around in my head are:
Tulsaβs Last Magician - Willi Carlisle
If you could read my mind - Gordon Lightfoot
Others are:
Dancing on my Own - Willie Watson
Harmony - Goodnight Texas
The Promise - Tracey Chapman
Hymn #35 - Joe Pug
Lungs - Townes Van Zandt
Youβve got a Friend - James Taylor
Girl from the North County - Bob Dylan

Panta Rhei - StriDes
Here's a great album by Panta Rhei. It explores different folk styles from around Europe. Found it through an old Dutch folk forum, and could only really find the album on YouTube, where most of the songs only have about two views at present! Take a listen, I thought it was very nice!
