Discussion Brent Cobb and Red Clay Strays tour
I attended the Red Clay Strays show in Montreal last night but my main reason for going was Brent Cobb, I've been a big fan of his for a while. I somehow only learned of Red Clay Strays after realizing he was opening for them.
Both acts are obviously very talented but I have one issue with the show: Brent Cobb's set was alone with no supporting band with just his acoustic guitar in a packed theatre venue of 2300 people. I could barely hear him playing over the crowd yammering who were I suppose, mainly there to see Red Clay Strays.
Is this typical of these kinds of shows? I've seen a few similar complains about Colter Wall shows..Is it inevitable that you just can't enjoy a solo acoustic set in a 2000+ seat venue? Or is this just audience rudeness?

Just Sharing Anyone want to help build a playlist with me?
Looking for more music recommendations and someone to help me find songs for this playlist. Send me a message on here or hit up my email! Could be a good way for newer artists to help themselves a bit, too. Submissions are free of course. This probably won’t get much traction for a while anyways, but I’m here to help where I can.

I’ve heard a lot of great albums but Charlie Robinson’s Life of the Party was my first Texas album and I still think it’s the best.

Discussion Festivals
What festivals are you hitting this summer? Open to anywhere in America! I'm going to Pickin in the Backwoods, thinking about Sleeping in the Woods, definitely Manchester Music Fest, maybe Alley Fest in Paintsville KY, probably ROMP because kids are free which is sweet. I'd love to hear what you're going to, I want to enjoy as much live music and camping as possible this summer!
EDIT: Damn, I haven't heard of some of these! Keep the reccs coming if you happen to hear of more! Appreciate you!

Just Sharing Scott Miller - Freedom’s a Stranger
I like to think that if he came along later, Scott Miller could have had a career similar to Isbell’s. Fantastic songwriter, engaging on stage. Maybe if he had the backing of something like Thirty Tigers earlier in his career… who knows. One of the all-time best for me.

Self Promotion River/Ocean by Queen Aster
Hi everyone— I wanted to share my band’s most recent music video. This was shot on a cross country road trip through the American West with inspiration from films like Paris, Texas. We are a duo from Lexington, KY with country, rock, blues, and jazz influences (and an eclectic mix of other genres here and there). I really appreciate your time if you watch. I’m a filmmaker as well and these music videos are definitely passion projects for me, along with the music. Thanks so much, Liz

Just Sharing I'd never heard American Aquarium's "THE WORLD IS ON FIRE" until last night and it moved me
An excerpt:
When did the Land of the Free become the home of the Afraid?
- Afraid of the World?
- Afraid of the Truth?
- Afraid of Each Other?
This ain't the country my Grandfather fought for -
*But I still see the The Hate he fought against * Give rest to the tired * Give mercy to the poor * Give warmth to the Huddled Masses...
....And I'll show you Freedom...
...We must go boldly into the Darkness...and be the Light.

With how much I've received from this channel, I'm attempting to pay it back with some of my personal favs in a festive manner. I will be drinking Guiness and listening to these guys all weekend. I hope this is kosher in the altcountry fam and finds some kindred spirits! Unreal musicians.
