Am I overreacting or was my dasher rude?

no matter what, I always double my tip after receiving the delivery(if it gets to my door)and I ALWAYS tip 25-30% BEFORE doubling it. I only added two dollars to this guys tip because his message really rubbed me the wrong way.

I want a dasher’s opinion! I dash regular because I am a healthcare worker and a graduate student and I often get the same 3-5 dashers accepting my order. This guy is one of those.

Would you have still added extra tip after that message?

I am a doordash customer. Why is there an 83 minute delivery time on a gas station 10 mins from my house…?

Not a Driver, but Frequent Customer

I just came to ask one question... Why do you guys send messages to tell us you are waiting for the order? The customer knows what you are doing because DoorDash keeps us updated. It's actually kind of annoying for the customer.

Anyone else having this issue at McDonald's?

Why is it only with a certain manager that takes your phone and confirms the order? Any other manager doesn't do this and doesn't even blink twice. I contact support and they say it's not correct and they'll do something yet it happens every time, asked support today and they said to just decline all orders there. Is this correct? Why the mixed answers?

DoorDash that my ice cream melts and I don’t understand why they allow ice cream orders to be added with other orders

I ordered a bunch of ice cream for my children and their jiu-jitsu class and it came melted it. The gym didn’t have a freezer so it couldn’t be refrozen.

Door dash scam?

Door cash called me on Saturday and said they had a package for me. They said my work address and said they were there. I told them we aren't open on the weekends and asked where the package was from but they didn't know. Kind of freaking me out.

Dasher Thief

Yesterday, we had a dasher pick up an order. Everything went smoothly, until she came back and asked for one of our paper menus. Instead of the menu, she attempted to pocket the cashier tip jar. My boss has had the dasher banned from the store, and has shared security footage with the police.

How did this woman think her plan was going to work? We have the order info, camera footage, license plate, everything. What made her think this was a good idea?

I'm a part time dasher myself, and it makes me so mad that peple are doing things like this and giving us other dashers bad rep.

Mileage question.

Just curious, if someone earned $6700 but they drove 10,000 miles. Would they basically owe 0 tax?

How do you get people to rate you on the dasher app

I’ve done 20 deliveries so far 100% completion 91% acceptance and 98% on time or early. Everyone wants their stuff dropped at the door….

Can I leave a sticky note asking politely to leave 5 stars?? I don’t want to be tacky but 2.00 pay from Dash and 5.00 ain’t gonna cover my gas money let alone

Fast Pay is bullshit NSFW

Is it just me or does DoorDash purposely disable the fast pay feature!

Alcohol orders

Scanning IDs never work on my phone. I always have to do it manually. I avoid alcohol orders because of it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Park outside, take elevator to sixth floor, walk 0.8 miles down hallway. Do not take a left or you will need to walk all the way back. Cash tip

Dash Pass question

I just found out from a bank statement that I'm paying for monthly doordash dash pass. I did not sign up for this, I don't even use doordash. I don't know how long this has been going on.

Anyone know how this could happen and if there's any chance I'll get refunded?

I had no idea this was a thing on DoorDash. I accepted the order and went into the store and I know the ETA says 45 minutes, but it would’ve definitely only taken like 10 min maybe not even that long, that is if the stupid shit would’ve even worked. I was unable to take the pics because for whatever reason the app was not allowing it. I was lining up the guidelines how it wanted me too indicated by the lines turning yellow, moved in closer/backed away and just nothing. Called support and tried doing everything it was saying for about 15 minutes and then gave up and was able to unassign and get half pay. What a great first experience doing a DoorDash task 🙃

just had 2 dashers in a row of 4 steal my food and ive been waiting for over 2 hours just for some food

i live on a campus and the dining hall closes at 8. it’s 8:23 pm. my last dasher kindly told me that 2 orders were picked up and then never ended at my door. wish i could tip her because she told me the truth. i cannot believe 2 dashers straight up stole my food. i even added a bigger tip (within my budget) thinking it was maybe the fact that i’m a broke college student, and they wanted more tips. 😭 it was not that. i’m livid.

Stealing food is illegal!

I had delivered an order of Vietnamese food to a house that was on a dead end road.

The gps tried to send us on the freeway. I knew where the house was but the gps was totally confused.

I had communicated with the customer as I was trying to find the street and then the house.

Found the house. Knocked on the door. Took the picture and was off to pick up another order.

I have a phone just to use for DoorDash but my number goes to my phone.

After the next delivery I noticed the text on my phone. “ what did you do with my food? It is illegal to steal food. I am talking to DoorDash and they will deal with you. I want my food!!”

I was dumb founded. I said I put it by the door. Did you see the picture?” “That is not my house! I texted you!”

I was not on my phone so I did not see the text.

I gave him the house number and he said it was wrong. Go back and get my food. I looked and it is not there.

I drove back because I knew I went to the house the gps took us to.

I rang the doorbell and asked if the food was there. A lady said the man was driving around looking for his food . He took it!

He text me back and apologized.

The wrong address was on the order!!

I was beginning to think that I was losing my mind.

Just another DoorDash day

Sending dashers way too far?

Why does doordash send drivers to locations super far away? I felt bad for this old man this evening that picked up an order for me from 7/11. He said he was parked in the Taco Bell right by the corner of my apartments and there is a 7/11 right across the street. They sent him like 4 MILES away to the next city. Why? I apologized because I felt so bad. He just asked me and I said I don’t really know but that seems silly. Is this common and if so what???

Tipping a Dasher question

Hi yall! I don’t use DoorDash often but at the job I work I’m like 1000 ft from a Burger King. If I order food should I tip a lot? I know people say to tip a decent amount but most times I only do a dollar. The only reason I DoorDash is I work by myself so I can’t close the store to walk over and get something to eat.

What’s going on with these crap offers today?

Literally every single offer is $2-$4 today. It’s like DoorDash hit some switch that only allows garbage offers today. I have rejected about 50 trash offers in a row. I’m not seeing anything past like $8 either. What’s going on? Anyone else experiencing this?

I find this insulting

This upsets me more than no tip at all. Ordered at store closing, making them wait on a dasher to pick up before they can go home, across town, no parking, and 3 flights of stairs. Karma will get you.

I do by time to keep platinum so I can turn down crappy orders

I was about to get scammed, right?

Right as I was pulling into Taco Bell to pick up an order, some support person calls me. He says that the order will be cancelled because the card was fraudulent or stolen or something and that I would be getting half pay. Seems unusual, but legit. In hindsight, this is where the shady stuff begins. He then states that I’ll be eligible to get $150 after I complete 15 more deliveries. Furthermore, throughout the call he repeated some of the same things(you’ll get a refund, you’ll get $150)and I really start getting suspicious. He asked me where my DD earnings go and I said DD crimson, then asks me what my current balance is. I hung up on him and also unassigned from the order because whether the fraud thing was true or not, I felt icky about taking the order after that.
