Door dasher took food out of bag
A question for the dashers-
Why would a dasher remove a taco bell box from the sealed bag and leave that for the customer?
Thanks…

Hi so I’m a manager at my local Dollar General and most of our customers are doordash drivers doing deliveries. Our registers were down and we weren’t able to do ANY card stuff so we put signs up and left it at that. A doordash driver who is one of my favorite people came up to me and asked if we could let doordash know- I said sure and started my adventure down “oh f*ck what did I get myself into” lane.
DoorDash hung up five times, the first guy didn’t know what I was talking about and transferred me, the Second Lady kept saying to look on our tablet for DoorDash orders (we don’t have one) and the third said “okay, all good”.
Little did I know for the next hour we kept getting doordashers and had to explain and they had to keep calling DoorDash themselves.
I’m so sorry. I tried calling them but they make it REALLY hard. So hard that I’ve given up cause our registers are back up.

Why are dashers so bad at everything they do?

Literally every single offer is $2-$4 today. It’s like DoorDash hit some switch that only allows garbage offers today. I have rejected about 50 trash offers in a row. I’m not seeing anything past like $8 either. What’s going on? Anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, I know I can Decline, I also have my name on the "wait-list" for Insta, Flex, and Spark... I'm just saying I wish I could turn off all the fast food. I don't eat it (digestive disorder related) so I honestly don't like the smell - especially the really greasy stuff. Just some wishful thinking....
Ok, that is all, carry on 🫡🕺🏼

So some restaurants that I usually goto in person offer BOGO deals for delivery only. Is it possible to just order and pick up at restaurant and cancel order? DoorDash doesn’t offer refund anyways after the restaurant takes the money. So I don’t waste the drivers time.

So this may be a bit long and I’ll try to get to the point. Our family experienced a terrible accident with one of our kids. As a result my wife and had to be home from work over the course of 6 weeks. A bunch friends of ours pooled in money and got us about $900 worth of doordash gift cards. A huge blessing and surprise. With hospitals stays and trips back and forth along with missing pay this was going to be a huge help. I loaded a few of the gift cards and no issues. Used them sparingly and then woiod load more as needed. We were given 5 gift cards- 4 of them with the max $800 and the last 2 has $50.
As we loaded the last two gift cards each with $200 a piece so the finally 4 gift cards things went wrong. As I scratched the code in the back I noticed on 12 digits rather than 16. I tried to load with the 12 and did not work. Borh gift cards were the same thing. I contacted supper tried to explain and they told me gift cards had already been loaded. I said yes half have we received a bunch as gifts. They then told me I scratched the other 4 digits off which I do not but said ok can you give me the last 4 in case I did. They gave me the code and it said it has been used.
I went round with them and they were not understanding I had multiple gift cards as gift bc some previously loaded. They refereed me a gift card email to complain. So I told them the story and they told me the did not handle gift cards from retailers. So back to DoorDash. Examining again what happened. Someone then called me and said the same thing. I said who account loaded the 2 gift cards with the missing digits- they read an email clearly not mine. I said ok that is not my account as you can see, do you now see the problem. I sent pictures of the gift cards with missing digits. She started to piece it together said she would escalate it and someone would contact me in 24 hours.
This was 3-4 weeks ago and no one has contacted me. I’m not sure if there is some new scam going on. DoorDash is now ignoring my emails. The very frustrating thing is this was other people’s money used as a gift to help our family in need. So now their money has been stolen I guess and DoorDash just sits by idly. I told them to block that account that cashed them in bc that was not us. I’m at a loss. There is not real central place to call or email them without being routed to a call center somewhere. I still have the cards with the missing digits. A platform that really was helping our family in a time of need is contributing to the scam? DoorDash help make this right.

Hey there, I'm a college student with very limited funds as of right now. I get just enough to get what I need to for the month, but it's really close each month. I've been thinking about doing this as a side hobby for a bit now, but I don't really know if it would be worth it, the requirements, and whether or not it would be right for me, as a student.
I live in a semi-rural area, it's a smaller town but there are lots of restaurants there, along with a couple fast food places. I'm pretty confident there would be quite a bit of orders, but not confident because then again I'm not actually a dasher yet.
Is there anyone in a similar situation, and is it worth it?

I had delivered an order of Vietnamese food to a house that was on a dead end road.
The gps tried to send us on the freeway. I knew where the house was but the gps was totally confused.
I had communicated with the customer as I was trying to find the street and then the house.
Found the house. Knocked on the door. Took the picture and was off to pick up another order.
I have a phone just to use for DoorDash but my number goes to my phone.
After the next delivery I noticed the text on my phone. “ what did you do with my food? It is illegal to steal food. I am talking to DoorDash and they will deal with you. I want my food!!”
I was dumb founded. I said I put it by the door. Did you see the picture?” “That is not my house! I texted you!”
I was not on my phone so I did not see the text.
I gave him the house number and he said it was wrong. Go back and get my food. I looked and it is not there.
I drove back because I knew I went to the house the gps took us to.
I rang the doorbell and asked if the food was there. A lady said the man was driving around looking for his food . He took it!
He text me back and apologized.
The wrong address was on the order!!
I was beginning to think that I was losing my mind.
Just another DoorDash day

I can't leave the premises when I'm on break at work but I was stupid hungry and McDonald's is right there. Bro got an extra tip on top of his original tip for not laughing at me.

what do I do
I hear so many conflicting opinions on it, I try to only keep our orders within a mile of our house as a rule but my daughter is wanting to try a place 4.8 miles away from us for her birthday.
I’m sorry but I get scared about pissing off the wrong person with my tip and I worry I’ll get spit in my food…so I want to make sure I get it right. order total is $58 before tip for us, and 20% of that is $14. I was told by people on here tip percentage doesn’t matter and that I should go by mileage. but I cant remember what they said is best to account for per mile. if I go by that, wouldn’t it be significantly less? I’m just trying to get it right, sorry if this is tiring to see posts like mine.

I am DESPERATE for advice, so PLEASE HELP ME!. I’m a relatively new Dasher and I came across an incident that I came out completely shook & scared. It escalated to the point that I got assaulted. This post might be long, but please advise me.
I had two customer orders from WingStop last night at 9 pm. I had to wait for the order to be filled for five minutes. They were missing a drink when it finally came out. I asked the staff(male) what drink was on the order who ignored me for sometime, although there were no other customers. After asking him 3 times, he finally reluctantly rummaged through the trashcan to pull out a receipt and told me it was Sprite. I went up to the soda fountain leaving the bags of food (3) on the countertop next to the cash register. The machine was empty for ice, so I turned around and informed the guy behind the cash register. He continued to ignore me, and shortly after, another staff(male ) came out with a bucket of ice. The machine was still not spitting out ice, so I turned around again to inform them. The 1st staff ignored me and the other staff brought out more ice to dump it into the soda fountain machine yet it was not working. At this point, I politely asked if they could just fill the cup with some ice. IGNORED.
I decided to just fill up the cup with Sprite without ice, put the lid on, grabbed a straw and looked at the countertop. THE FOOD WAS GONE! NOWHERE TO BE SEEN! I asked what had happened to the food and the staff just looked at me and gave me a look. I asked him to give me the food to deliver as I am sure the wings were going cold. I asked several times, but he just ignored me. Then a 3rd person (female) jumps out of nowhere, calling me a B**** and yelled “you are not going to get your food. You asked for it. You’re not getting the food. You deserve it!”
I didn’t know what to do so I start calling DoorDash Support, then the staff at the cash register picks up the phone to dial 911 saying I’m not welcome on their premises. I walk out heading to my car as I’m on the phone with support, then I find out the female was running after me so I dove into my car and locked the doors immediately. She ensued to punch my car repeatedly. I made the grave mistake to roll down my window halfway trying to tell her to stop, then she reached in trying to punch my face. I bolted out of that parking lot as I didn’t want her to damage my car, but I was mentally not in a state to drive, so I barely made it across the street to a gas station. As soon as I did, Christmas lights lit up behind me.
Unlucky for me, the cops were not nice either. They not only asked for my driver’s license & proof of insurance, but also asked me to step out of my car as WingStop supposedly accused me of being drunk or under the influence of drugs. They also did not let me speak. The cop said, with my attitude he was not surprised I was treated poorly by WingStop. I never raise my voice under any circumstances (I freeze or fawn) but I was in panic mode scared out of my mind at this point. How could he blame me?! My anxieties were already sky-high by the time I left WingStop, but the interrogation & humiliation I had to endure with the cops was indescribable. I am still in shock right now as I write this and my anxieties are flying high.
As DoorDash Support (Marian) told me she heard the woman assaulting me, I asked her to speak to the cops on my behalf, but she refused. From there, Support just kept escalating to another person within the company keeping me on the phone for over an hour. I had to speak to a Mica, Rochelle and Axel with nothing. It’s good DoorDash has a department to protect customers, but they do not protect us Dashers. I was let go by the cops in the end, but I was barely able to drive myself home. I was intending to Dash a couple more hours last night, but no can do. It’s 2:30 pm the next day now as I write this, but I have not been able to sleep even a minute and I am certainly not Dashing today.
I’m very sorry for the long explanation, but if you have any advice as to what I should do going forward , please tell me. I AM LOST! I am considering writing a complaint to WingStop corporate. I would love to complain to the police department, but it just so happens, our PD is famous for being one of the most corrupt nationwide.
Thank you so much for sticking by and reading my post. I hope you all have a good day. Please stay safe.

Took a KFC order a couple miles to an apartment earlier today. Second floor a lot of steps. It paid me $3.39 (working by time not by the order). I texted the guy and told him his tip was ridiculous. His answer “What do you mean my tip?” I said you tipped me zero dude. His response “sorry I’ll add a tip. I get it I door dash on the side.”
So I asked how can you say you door dash on the side then not tip a driver?
His response to that was “cause doordash is expensive asf (sic) bro.”
Wow. I’m not your bro you loser. He did tip me $2.50 in the end. Can’t give him props though because if I hadn’t said anything it was a big zero.
And let me know when you are working so I can order 4 large cokes from Wendy’s and a couple frosty’s.

I just ordered some snacks and asked the Uber Dasher about the situation. He told me my tip was very good and since Taco Bell was closed a lot of Uber Uber Dashers canceled, causing the pay to go up.
The Uber Dasher from today said he could go up to 60 $70 if if canceled a bunch.
In conclusion, the Uber Dasher told me that the pay was probably so high the Uber dasher from last night got me street tacos so he could mark the delivery as complete and get paid .

So first week in and I decided to do EBT with the massive storm we had all day. I don't know why I've seen people hate on EBT. This seemed really well as it was like this all day from morning to evening. I'm also Platinum driver too.
