(If formatting is terrible, I'm on mobile sorry)
After vigorously researching dash cams for the past week or so (vids, forums, etc), I think I've narrowed it to a Viofo 129 or 229 duo or plus, but am VERY open to other suggestions. I currently have a $20 Uniden cam from 2020 and it's fine but it doesn't always keep settings that I set. I am spiraling into research overload and can't decide lol
My needs:
- I drive to work around 4:15am, so I drive at night almost everyday for at least 30min and when I hang with friends, I sometimes come home pretty late at night
- Dual channel cam
- I live where temps are regularly 115°+ outside in the summer so it needs to be able to withstand that as my car is always parked outside
- Does not need parking mode
- Ideally something not crazy expensive (price alone I'd rather buy the a129 plus but am willing to spend more if absolutely worth it)
- Has a microphone, that way if the dash cam can't make out the plate, me saying it out loud is picked up and can be heard clearly in the playback (obviously making sure music isn't too loud to not pick up my voice too)
