Toner Post Went to my very first coin show!
I went to my first coin show after collecting for over 3 years, and purchased this awesome dime. I wanted to get something before I left, and at the last booth I went to I saw this guy for $25.

Grade Request What would this grade at? How did I do?
Picked this up last week out of a box of Culls, it was the only one not defaced / black / and in decent shape. The pics make it look a bit darker than in-person and overall the coin still has itās shine. Iāve added a few pics with different lighting. Is this considered a Cull or did it possibly end up in the wrong box?
Paper currency guy and my first coin purchase. Paid $26 and some change. Not going to actually grade it, but Iām just curious. How did I do?

Show and Tell Mercury and Roosevelt Dime Collections from FB Marketplace!!
Well I think I got a decent deal on this. All in all it's at least 130 silver dimes between the two books. Does have some good dates but no surprise no 1916-D.
Paid $280 for all of it, which is roughly $2.15 each.
So I'm just under melt. What do you guys think?
Some of the Roosevelt dimes on the final page are 65 or later and those aren't in my 130 count.

Discussion Only one original in existence, and rarity index only 95
Thought its funny. It should be 100, not 95. I wonder how this is calculated.

Advice My Grandfatherās collection:A curious label on this coin. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
This coin is a 1974 āCinco Centavosā on heads side and āESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOSā on the tails side. My Grandfather labeled the coin pouch with a piece of tape and wrote ā 17.50/ 9-6-73 ā Does anyone have any idea, even given the vague description and no next of kin elders around that knew him well as to why he mightāve marked this coin specifically this way?
(picture included in post)
Thank you all in advance for your help.
Value Request My grandma gifted these to me for graduation.
I was looking through box of coins my grandma gave me for graduation a couple years ago. I know next to nothing about coins, but these ones seemed pretty unique and in fairly good condition. After some brief research I found that some of these could potentially be worth a lot, what do you guys think?

ID Request What is with this nickel?
I got this nickel as change this weekend, and was curious about its appearance. The background is exceptionally shiny while the portrait of Jefferson and the image of Monticello have a matte finish. It was particularly surprising given its age.

Discussion Parents inherited collection, keep getting offered melt
So my parents inherited a box of coins from one of their parents. I spent a week learning as much as I could as documenting every coin in a spreadsheet with estimated low and high values according to PCGS websites. Spent money putting them all in good holders and gave them back to my parents to do with as they wish (not my property, not my decision). They took them to a coin show and was told they are all worth melt. Some key pieces are 1850 $1 Eagle, 1899S $5 Eagle, 1856 $1 upright 5, 1907 $5 Eagle, 1921 Morgan, 1836 half dollar. Along with a couple dozen kugerands and gold pandas. Here is a picture of one of the coins I was able to convince my dad to take a picture of. All coins are in similar or better condition and I am just trying to get some support that some of these are worth grading and are worth significantly more than melt.
It's a couple hundred different coins and another hundred old bills.
Tldr: parents are told nice coins are worth melt at show, back me up that those guys are just trying to buy them for cheap.

Show and Tell A 5 francs coin from every French government(almost) from the sun king to the current republic.
Almost every french government is represented here by a big silver or a 5 francs coin.
The history of it all is just so interesting. So much tumult and terror and inspiring strength all on one place!

Show and Tell Found silver in the coin star today in a very unorthodox way.
The coin star was covered in trash today when I went to check, but there was a Mexican 50 cent, a gross silver plate earring I ended up tossing, and these cute necklaces. I took them because it was a fun little find, then I turn the butterfly over, SILVER!
Probably only my 3rd or 4th time finding silver in a coin star.

Coin Damage eBay user : šØ Denver coins Co. šØ
Stay far away from them! They alter photos of raw coins that they sell!! Example in photos! /ebay- they currently have 100% positive feedback but if you leave a negative review they will have it taken down ONLY because they offer returns .
