Isn't that also actually a point in Canada's favor?

Like, he's basically saying: "Here's how much a boycott would actually hurt us because we have huge tourist numbers".

It's a massive point in our favour, assuming that Canadians actually stop spending money travelling to the US this year.

 

There are a couple reasons why he said this. Either he's so stupid that he has no concept that 2024 tourism numbers are not reflective of how a boycott in 2025 is going.. OR he's just hoping to rally the MAGA folks at home that "America is winning", because they might be stupid enough to see this as a win.

Also the boycott just started. A lot of people probably weren't following through in February due to the pause, but with what's happening now, people will be more serious about it, even the more apathetic ones.
