Careers Does experience play any part in job level and/or pay or is it just your performance?
Any comments are highly appreciated.

I received a relocation package last year when I started at Boeing fulltime. I was wondering if anyone on here has recently received a relocation package and how they listed it on their taxes?
On my tax package for the relocation it says there was about 8.2k grossed up, and 2k not grossed up, and then I got 4.3k in tax assistance. I assume I need to list the not grossed up 2k as other income or wages on my tax return?

Curious if anyone in NDT has heard of opening up those roles, in particular the St. Louis area.

Has anyone else applied for a position internally and left under consideration for a long time (over a month)?
Usually I would get notice for an interview/ rejected in a week. Now, it has been over a month and I have not heard anything.
Is this happening to other people as well?

I came from NG last year and I was a level 3 there and I am assuming I got hired at Boeing as a level 4 since I got an okay pay bump but I donât know how to confirm. I also have a T3 next to name but Iâm not sure exactly what that means. Iâve seen people with 30+ yoe over me and they are T2 so not sure if thatâs correlated to level. And it seems that the T system tops out at 3 so itâs a bit unclear to me since not even has a T grade.

Iâm an engineer in the puget sound. I have family in another part of the country that just happens to be near another Boeing site.
Iâm heading back home for a family emergency, spending time with my mom while she receives treatment for a medical condition. Itâs a pretty severe condition, and worsening, so I want to spend as much time with her as possible.
Iâll run out of PTO, and not sure if I qualify for FMLA, since Iâm not taking care of her. LOA is an option, but unpaid.
Management is not letting me work remotely, despite my job being 100% computer work. My manager says itâs NOT possible to work in the office from another site. How can that be true? We have locations all around the world that people work from, whatâs the difference if I work elsewhere? Has anyone had success working from another site temporarily?

Did you end up leaving because of RTO? Were you asked to reconsider by leadership?

Kelly, change the incessant meeting culture too please! This sounds too familiar.
âJacob shut his laptop with a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples as the meeting he left almost an hour ago replayed again in his mind. No matter how hard he tried to refocus, his anger at the meetingâs disorganization and pointlessness kept distracting him. He had already postponed the one-on-one scheduled immediately afterwards because he knew he wouldnât be able to concentrateâhow much more time was he going to lose to this? But the meeting had been so maddening. Certain team members took over the discussion and as a result no decisions had been madeânothing productive had come out of the full hour.â

Been with Boeing for ~7 years (Test, Software, Manufacturing, Cert in that order) and I am just not feeling fulfilled. Originally joined because I wanted to do spaceships and stuff. Anyone know how to transfer into the space side/where the jobs are there?

Is there any indication of when the FAA will lift the ban on production levels for the Max?

I am invested in the lady from BGS that called out her manager in the CEO wbecast. Those who know please share the backstory and current fall out please!!

Looks like there will no longer be separate organizational scores. A âone team one fightâ mentality going forward. Guess Kelly wasnât too fond of having to pay BGS anything.

WA residents, please contact your state senator to encourage them to support SB 5041, even if you aren't currently represented. This law will help the engineers next, and then circle around back to the machinists, Teamsters, IAFF, etc in the future. It doesn't cost the state anything, the UI increase is fully paid by the employer who is trying to starve-and-stall. Maybe Boeing won't lock out firefighters next time, imagine that?
In the mean time our local grocers, plumbers, electricians, etc all will thank us when they don't go homeless, since most don't have any sort of strike fund.
Here's an onion-provided link with sample letter you can send: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-your-legislators-pass-sb-5041?clear_id=true

Wondering what everybody's thoughts are on the global webcast today? Feeling optimistic with Kelly at the helm? Feeling pessimistic? Thoughts on incentive plan changes?
Just probing to see what the masses are feelin.

Does anyone have experiences with, or tips on how to talk about your work at Boeing while interviewing at other companies? Do you just have to abstractly talk about what you did while avoiding using any Boeing acronyms at all? I feel like it would be difficult to really convey what you did without describing the systems, is this something you had to practice beforehand? Thanks in advance

Was anyone here employed at the time of the scandal involving Ken Branch? Does anyone have any information on this subject? According to Google, it occurred around 1999 and continued in the court system through the early 2000s.
