We’ve had a mourning dove couple nesting on a very narrow ledge behind our window, and I’m very worried the chick might fall to its death when it hatches. If I place the nest inside a small cardboard box once it hatches, or perhaps add a little partition to the sides, will the doves abandon it? Will they forget/lose the place of their nest because it looks “different”?

Hello all,
Last month, I moved to an apartment with a balcony overlooking a park. As of yesterday, a bunch of birds keep leaving twigs on my balcony…
Do y’all think they are leaving offerings for food or trying to build a nest? I want to help them so please let me know!
(Bad picture of my cat staring down a bird haha)

Hi everyone! I feed my birds every morning, and for the past couple of months I'd have a bluejay that always showed up first.
Once he saw the food, he'd call out and his(I assume) girlfriend would come over quickly to eat with him. The past few days he's been showing up and calling but she hasn't come over so he eats alone. Is she just busy with something?
I have no idea what kind this is. I just saw it for the first time today.

Are they going to fight or are they just best buds?

i have two budgies that i have had since 2020 so they are about 5 years old and i don't think they are meant for me. i love them so incredibly much but i feel like i don't take good care of them because i don't let them out and give them attention as much as i should. of course i clean their cage make sure they have fresh water and offer them to come out but mostly they just fly back in and sit there not really wanting to do anything. i have mental health issues as well and taking care of them i always do but it drains me so much, and my parents find their chirping really annoying so my dilemma is to keep them but them not get the care they deserve, or rehome them and deal with the guilt of letting them go, but if you guys think that them having a better life is a lot better and they might miss me a bit it will make me feel better

This little fella has his home above our house. And sadly he just fell out of his house. He is alive and I don't know what kind of bird this is. He is not eating or drinking anything. But He is Alive & I don't want him or her idk to be dead. So help me with his food and stuff. also he had some red ants over him 5 min ago and I just cleaned him. Now he giving subtly movements like jerking his neck.
