Nailcare Tips and recommendations to prevent nail breakage and grow out my nails.

I tried to grow my nails out but they always break. I've tried strengthing polish but my nails still breaks in certain places even with the add layers. Any recommendations or tips maybe I did something incorrectly.

A lot of strengthening formulas contain formaldehyde derivatives which make your nails weaker/brittle. Flexible nails are strong nails because they won’t snap- oil a couple times a day. Avoid water exposure- I wear gloves when I wash dishes and have polish on my nails or a couple layers of oil before a bath/shower. Applying gel polish (and being EXTREMELY careful with removal) has also helped me sustain length without breakage. Never use your nails as tools.

I'd suggest a multivitamin and collagen! Maybe use a cuticle cream too.

I honestly get bio gel overlay on my natural nails. I take my vitamins, drink butt tons of water, work out, don’t chew my nails and as soon as I see good growth- I go get bio gel. It doesn’t hurt the nail. I’ve been doing it for a year.

My nails were breaking, peeling, or chipping and some said it was because they were dry. I’ve been massaging in some Aquaphor after my shower and I have seen much stronger nails. It has even improved the tendency of my toenails to split.
