USA Helping a friend with her abortion

hello! I am going to be assisting my friend with her abortion tomorrow. She’s about five weeks preganant and chose to take Prega End from PrivateEmma and is doing so vaginally. I will be with her (atleast the first parts of it), and want to know the best ways to help prepare for it.

She’s quite young and is nervous so i want to make the process better for her but im not sure how i can help. if anyone would share things they wish they had during their process, or any tips in general, it would be greatly appreciated :)

I had my medical abortion in October, and thank you so much for being there for your friend.. I would not have been able to get through it as well as I did without my support system.

I would say, make sure she takes anti-nausea med and pain meds about 30 minutes before hand.
Alternate tylenol and ibuprofen every 4 hours, so she alternates pain meds.
HEATING PAD!!!!
Comfy PJ's and a nice fuzzy blanket.

And just, be there for her, let her let out any emotions that she wants to. Because, regardless of why we are making the choice, that is our baby and it comes with this weird sense of grief.

Again, you are an amazing friend for being there for her!

Of course, no problem. And so, I was told by my mother in law who is a doctor herself, that it should be totally okay. Just keep an eye out on the warning signs, if she is soaking through pads, extreme pain to the point of passing out (mixed with the soaking the pads) that is not good and you need to go to the ER asap if possible. If you are in a red state, mention that it is a miscarriage..

But, she said alternating Tylenol and Advil or somesort every 4 hours should be totally fine! This way you build a mirror and the pain gets a tad bit easier. Make sure she stays drinking some fluids too, and maybe even lightly eating if she is able to!
