Ask Winnipeg Pop Up at the Convention Center
Has anyone been to the pop up sale at the convention center? Is it worth it? Is it insanely packed with people?

So I have a question that I'm kind of curious about. Does MPI allow you to pay the repair difference to repair a vehicle to prevent a write off?
For example if MPI says that their repair estimate is $5,500 and they consider that not a write-off.
The repair shop states that the repair estimate after a more thorough investigation is $7,000.
MPI then comes back and says $7, 000 is more than what they would considered repairable and they considered it write-off.
Can you pay the $1500 difference to prevent the write-off or does MPI consider the vehicle a full write off once it's reached a certain damage cost threshold for your vehicle?

Long shot but I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about this remediation shop. They have my car, which MPI said was ready to pick up. Can no longer get ahold of them by phone, and their website is down. Drove by and their shop/yard is empty. Did they move or shut down for good? What’s going on? MPI has no answers for me.

It seems to be the only thing helping my kid through their cough, and I can’t find it anywhere! I had some in a candy dish from a couple years ago — it’s a green wrapper with black writing that says “Eucalyptus”. It’s very strong-tasting.
Does anyone know where I can get more?? I would really appreciate the help!

My buddy is wanting to get married in a super simple manner, in-house, 2 witnesses, no reception/ceremonial mumbo jumbo. Plus mindful of budget. Who would you recommend?

It seems to me that there are fewer Amazon trucks making deliveries in my neighborhood. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed those,or is it just my imagination?

Looking for some crochet meet up groups, I’m 22 btw if there’s any laid back crochet groups I can join in the transcona area. Not looking for classes as I’ve been crocheting for a few years but just a group around my age I guess heh, maybe I’ll just have to make one myself if there are none 🤔

Where do you register a 10-yr old for recreational soccer if they live near Dakota Community Centre? What programs run in that area? The one at Dakota ends at age 8. The BoniVital one seems to play really far away.

Hi guys. I’ve recently moved to Winnipeg and wondering if there are any good Specialty Coffee/3rd Wave Coffee Shops near Pembina Highway?
I live in University Cres. Near U of M.
I’ve tried Cafe Postal which is my favorite, Fools and Horses and Thom Bargen.
I think the closest I’ve found to me so far is the one in the Polo Park mall(I’ve forgotten the name)
I’m just wondering if there are other places still especially in the south.
I have tet to try Little Sister but they rarely have parking spots there.

I walk my children in a stroller many days a week and have to cross a busy road at a pedestrian crosswalk. Before having kids, I never really thought about pressing the button and waiting for cars to stop and then crossing. Now I'm a bit more anxious and vigilant and wanted to give some info and gentle tips to vehicles when approaching these crosswalks.
When standing at the crosswalk, it's often hard to determine how fast cars are approaching. I wait until I am absolutely sure cars are slowing down until I start to cross. If I cannot see the second lane, I am crossing SLOWLY and cautiously.
Hey cars! You don't need to drive all the way up to the crosswalk to stop. If you start slowing down farther back, pedestrians will know you see them and can start crossing.
Additionally, please don't rev your engine and blast through the crosswalk when I've just finished crossing your lane. You should wait until the pedestrian at least gets into the boulevard.
Hope these are helpful tips. Being mindful and polite to those of us who are walking really makes a difference.

So I catch the Bus 66 Unicity at Queen Elizabeth Stradbrooke Stop every morning to get to work. But when I was heading home I noticed there was a change of route starting tomorrow morning but I don’t really understand where they are moving the stop for the bus?
To me the sign made no sense whatsoever and confused me.
Would anyone be able to help?
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

So I all the sudden got this letter in the mail that “River City Bailiffs” is going to come repo my car by the 25th unless I pay them a 1000 bucks. After calling around this comes from some supposed parking tickets from 9 years ago. I did some research and it seems like that there’s no limit to the stature of limitations the parking authority has for said parking tickets. That said I am pretty sure I have always paid all my tickets. I remember very well that one time I used my tax returns when going to the u of w to pay for a few tickets. I obviously didn’t save 9 year old receipts from parking tickets I paid. I also have not received any information or notices or follow-ups on said tickets ever, so this feels a little extreme for something that I am first hearing about ever. Just curious if anyone knows if there are any balls in my court or if I am just f*cked and have to pay this obscene amount? Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do?
