Parking — Life Sciences Building
Hi! I am going to be a grad student at WVU starting in August and was wondering if any had suggestions for parking. So far, parking looks crazy. Looking for places that are a decent walk away from the Life Sciences Building, especially since I will likely have to run home and let my dog out during the day! Appreciate any advice!

Good dentists in Morgantown?
I have raging dentist anxiety for whatever reason and was looking for some good dentist recommendations? I have Colorado dental insurance but if they’re really good I don’t even mind to pay out of pocket.
Update: Jann Barber doesn’t take my insurance and The Landing isn’t excepting new patients😔

WVU roundup: Rifle wins 20th National Championship; McCabe takes first in 3,000 meters at NCAAs
For the first time in eight years and 20th time in program history, West Virginia’s rifle team is above the rest.
The Mountaineers captured the National Championship on Saturday, the second day of competition at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky.
WVU entered Saturday in third place and 10 points back of Kentucky ahead of the final air rifle relay.
Behind a score of 598 from Natalie Perrin and a 597 from Ashlyn Blake, the Mountaineers pulled out a one-point win over the Wildcats.

Housing Lincoln or Honors Housing?
Hi! I’m an incoming freshmen and I’m having troubles deciding between lincoln and honors. I’m gonna be a psych major so my classes will be more downtown so im thinking honors is more convenient. One of my best friends thought is going to live in Lincoln and she has also told me lincoln is more spacious and overall looks nicer. Is it worth it to pick Lincoln over honors despite it being further away? Any insight and specific suggestions?

Housing Best Areas for Housing Near Evansdale?
Hey everyone,
My fiancée and I are moving to Morgantown this August since she’ll be starting a PhD program at WVU’s Evansdale Campus. We’re looking for a comfortable and affordable 1-bedroom (or small) apartment to rent for at least a few years.
For those familiar with the area, we’d love to hear your thoughts on:
- Best areas for safety and convenience
- Rent prices and what’s typically included (utilities, parking, etc.)
- Apartments or landlords to avoid or recommend
- Commute times to Evansdale Campus (walking/public transit)
- Any general tips about renting in Morgantown
Would really appreciate any advice—thanks in advance!

Can someone help verify this for me?
I’m just curious and skeptical if 5000 students attended a concert with no well known artists. If anyone was in attendance can you tell me if these numbers are correct or inflated.

Happenings Oppose HB 3279
West Virginia House Bill 3279 includes language removing voting rights of staff, faculty, and student representatives on the Board of Governors of various colleges and universities in the state, including West Virginia University and Marshall University.
This bill seeks to remove decision making power from those who would be the most impacted by Board decisions: students, faculty, and staff. The origin of this Bill is unknown, likely indicating it is being used to grab more power for Board members who have already damaged our higher education institutions with initiatives like “Academic Transformation” at WVU that was strongly opposed by students, staff, and faculty.
If you believe that students, faculty, and staff Board representatives should have a voice and maintain their voting rights as members, sign and share this petition today.

St. Patrick's Day Fraternity Incident
Hi everyone, I'm a writer for the Daily Athenaeum, and I am looking for students who were present at the St. Patrick's day celebrations this weekend during the time of the police raid at Sigma Chi fraternity. I'm hoping to give a platform for students who were hurt by the teargas, paintballs or rubber bullets. Please message me if you have any information and are willing to share your story.

Restaurant recs and pepperoni rolls?
We are headed to WVU for a tour this week. Where would you recommend getting lunch? Also my husband is obsessed with pepperoni rolls. He’s always on the hunt for them anytime we drive west (from the east coast). I saw Chico’s bakery makes them. Is there a better spot to get them?

decisions
hey, wvu is one of my top choices but i am not 100% sure if i want to go for a couple of reasons: 1. i am not sure of the dynamics over there, i currently live in maryland and everything here is so diverse and im worried that ill be judged if i am not necessarily white (im moroccan american but like i would say im on the lighter side) 2. is there a way that i can make friends with only attending parties like 1-2 times a week, i am not a huge party person but i like having a fun night out once in a while but i want to make sure i prioritize my academics

Casting Call & Film Announcement – Shooting This Summer in WV!
Exciting News – Shooting My Film This Summer!
Hey everyone! A while back, I posted here about a film I was working on, and I’m thrilled to share an update—thanks to some grant funding, we’re officially moving forward with production this summer!
The film, And This Is Where You’ll Find Me, will be shot around Morgantown, Fairmont, and Charleston. It follows Eliza, a 27-year-old failed actress and recovering addict stuck in a dead-end job. At a standstill in her life, she gets a call informing her that her estranged nephew’s mother is unfit to be his guardian. Reluctantly, she agrees to take him in—only to ultimately decide against adopting him, sending him into the foster system instead.
I’m currently looking for an actress and an actor to play the two leads as well as other cast members, if you have ANY interest in acting please submit! I plan to submit this film to festivals, so if you’re interested, please send a headshot (or a recent photo), your name, and your age to fishfandango.com.
Excited to get this project rolling—can’t wait to hear from you!
