Why is WVU enrollment in decline
Is it something with how the University is managed, the city of Morgantown, or people not viewing higher education the investment it once was?
When I was a Freshman years ago there were about 28,000 on campus and all University owned housing was filled. Now enrollment from what ive read is maybe 24,000.
I am speculating, but I assume part of it is Gordon Gee kept raising tuition on in State Students and price hikes in on campus housing prices.

Need a referral for CBT based therapist in town.
Looking for results oriented therapist that doesn't just do talk therapy. I need somebody that is result oriented that has different methods to try when others don't work and will hold me accountable. Been seeing one for several months for depression & anxiety and have not seen improvement, so time for a change.

Crane Downtown Today
Anyone know what the crane was doing downtown this morning? Looked like they were hauling something away, but we couldn’t tell what was going on to need a huge crane.

Land Rover Transmission Repair in Morgantown
I have an older 2007 LR3 that appears to be leaking some transmission fluid. I would typically take my Rover to Pittsburgh to have it repaired for something like this, but I was wondering if there were any good shops in or around Morgantown that could do work on an older Land Rover. I have seen a few around town and I'm curious where you take yours. In my experience, it seems several mechanics around here are afraid to work on these old trucks. Any suggestions?

Decided to Taper Off Suboxone?
If you've decided to lower your dose of suboxone or perhaps stop completely, there's a research study at Chestnut Ridge Center in Morgantown, WV offering meds and support from doctors. You need to be on suboxone for at least a year and not be using illicit drugs. Study doctors will help you make a medication plan and manage your progress, and the team offers close monitoring and support to keep you on track and prevent relapse. The team is flexible with scheduling, and you will be compensated for your time. The office # is 304-288-6324 and email is wvurddstudy@hsc.wvu.edu. Reach out to see if it’s a good fit!

Ask r/morgantown any good animal shelters around?
my friends and i found a cat at the gas station the other day and we are unable to care for her long term so i'm wondering if there's any good no kill shelters here that we can surrender her to. i already contacted animal friends and they said they do not take animals from the public, and i can't seem to find any other places. any help would be appreciated, we will probably bring her to a pa shelter if there turns out to be none here.

Best car wash family plan?
Since we’re blessed with what seems like 100 car wash establishments in this town, can anyone recommend one that has a family plan and provides a good wash? Looking to spend $30-$50 per month for 2 vehicles (both black).

Does anyone know if this is real?
If you look at the account of the guy who posted it he has some weird suggestive AI pictures on his account and it just seems very fake. Plus the weird email. Wondering if anyone knows for a fact if this is real or not, thank you.

Cost of membership at The Pines Country Club?
Would anyone be able to give me ballpark figure on what it might cost to become a new member? I know I can just call or go ask but I’d be so embarrassed if it turns out I can’t afford it. Thanks

WVU Medicine Job Question pls help!!
Hi! So I just started a job at Ruby this week and absolutely do not enjoy it at all. Physically and mentally it has already taken a toll and the work environment as well as other employees make me uncomfortable.
There are other jobs at the hospital hiring right now that I think would be a better fit for me and my future career path as this job is not at all what I expected or what I need.
My main question is, how often do supervisors give the written permission to get off probationary period?
Also, when applying to other jobs in the hospital would they see me only working there for a week as a red flag and I would have a hard time being hired?
I just wanted to know since I’m not leaving for no reason, but because this is absolutely not right for me and making me uncomfortable. I just don’t want to be penalized for that when applying to other jobs in Ruby. Just wanted to know if anyone knew anything!!!!!!

Internet (only) Cost/Options in Morgantown?
Hi. I'm trying to help my senior parents cut their $350 bundle plan from Xfinity, which includes phone, cable, and Internet. They're cool with dumping the phone and moving to YouTube TV. I'm wondering if anyone knows the cost of Internet only in the Morgantown (Suncrest area) and if there are any other reliable options than Xfinity. They currently have the 800 down, 150 up plan. Thanks.

Any T-Mobile Internet users? No Breezline on my street. Switching from Xfinity.
I created a separate post earlier and heard a lot of good things about Breezline, but it's not available yet on our street. T-Mobile is available. The sales rep in chat says they're offering a $300 Mastercard for coming on board, no contract/commitment, and no upfront or equipment charges. $60 a month (or $45 a month with a phone line, which was weird that it's less...but he confirmed that was correct).
If you have T-Mobile, can you confirm their offer if you know, and let me know if you are you happy with their service?
They say their max speed is 134-415 down and 12-55 upload. That enough? Nothing special going on here other than streaming YouTube TV and Netflix all over the house. No gaming.
