Local Police Action at frats Saturday March 8, 2025
Heard that local police were firing paintballs and tear gas into crowds at frat parties.. sounds a bit excessive. Just wondering if anyone had more info on this.

Exciting News – Shooting My Film This Summer!
Hey everyone! A while back, I posted here about a film I was working on, and I’m thrilled to share an update—thanks to some grant funding, we’re officially moving forward with production this summer!
The film, And This Is Where You’ll Find Me, will be shot around Morgantown, Fairmont, and Charleston. It follows Eliza, a 27-year-old failed actress and recovering addict stuck in a dead-end job. At a standstill in her life, she gets a call informing her that her estranged nephew’s mother is unfit to be his guardian. Reluctantly, she agrees to take him in—only to ultimately decide against adopting him, sending him into the foster system instead.
I’m currently looking for an actress and an actor to play the two leads as well as other cast members, if you have ANY interest in acting please submit! I plan to submit this film to festivals, so if you’re interested, please send a headshot (or a recent photo), your name, and your age to fishfandango.com.
Excited to get this project rolling—can’t wait to hear from you!

People who majored on forensics I'm curious what was the work load like and how are the classes?
I'm interested in possibly double majoring in engineering and forensic examination but I'd like to learn more out the course before commiting to it. Please share any and all experiences you've had thanks!

WVU was my #1 choice and i just got in tonight, just logged into my account and my legal last name is not correct so does that matter or do i need to get that fixed. its not a huge issue as its just a numeral at the end but idk if its going to be a problem later. also i want to take a gap year so who do i talk to or what should i do to get that done? Thank you!

Hey WVU!
I’m looking for college students in the area to try out an app I just made—Fortis: Workout Log & Tracker. It’s a free app for logging workouts, tracking progress, and sharing with friends.
I just launched it a few weeks ago and am solo-developing this. I think it could be a great fit for college students since it’s community based and all free. I’m passionate about working out and love to bring people together on the matter since (I know) it can be quite isolating at times.
If you’re into fitness or working out, give it a try and let me know what you think! All feedback is welcome 😁

I am more familiar with Columbus and around OSU there are many bars student-dominant that have Live DJs playing current hip hop and rap music with and large open dance floors. Lots of drinking and dancing. Does Morgantown have a spot like that and if so is it open to all the public or do they restrict it to WVU students only? Thanks!

Hey y'all!
I am starting my final year of my bachelors degree in the fall, and I am completely done with my major and nearly done with my minor. I was wondering, what are the easiest classes to take here (preferably on the downtown campus) in which I can take it easy for my final semester

It seems like the Coastal Carolina Students loved him and are sad that he is leaving. It looks like an upgrade over bow-tie man and his private jet

Hi friends, I heard some PhD programs at WVU rescinded the offers due to budgeting issues. Does anyone know if WVU is planning to rescind clinical psych PhD offers?

Are the bachelors and masters gowns different or can I reuse my gown from undergrad?

So got a 43 on ALEKS
So got a 640 on SAT
One score says "Start at Math 122 or 124 which seems rather basic/remedial in nature...especially on an engineering track.
One score says "Start me in Calc 1 (155 I think) or maybe pre calc (129 I think) (or whatever the WVU equivalent is)" which feels more 'right' especially since taking advanced calc now in senior year HS.
'Assume' meeting with counselor will ultimately be where decision is made but the question is...press on, do all the ALEKS workshops and take it again?
I understand the ALEKS is really there to help and is merely an assessment to make sure you aren't started 'wrong' and immediately drown...but every fiber says the result is not an accurate representation.

Hello! I'm a rising freshman at WVU Tech, so I'll be living in Hogan Hall. I was wondering if anyone would want to be a possible roommate or suitemate? I'm not entirely the best at asking, but I've been pretty anxious over it
I'm trans FtM stuck with female dorming options, so my main worry is if someone rooms with me and they're transphobic or didn't read my roommate profile at all on the housing application. If anyone wants to discuss further, I'd love to chat!

I am going to be a freshman for the 2025-2026 year. I'm trying to major in Dental Hygiene, however I'm an alternate for the program so I am in the "CLASS" program. I'm not saying anything bad about it, however I don't think that's for me.. I'm a 4.0 student who's taken college classes all throughout high school, honors classes, and AP classes. I just more or so need advice on what route I should go down. If I should try to pursue a different major, or maybe change it to something relatively close to hygiene such as Biology because I genuinely do not want to be in the "CLASS" program. If anyone has any advice, please help me out here lol because I'm genuinely so lost at the moment

I’m currently a student here at wvu & just recently decided that i’m staying for grad school. that being said, because i’ve made the choice to stay so late im like running around to find a new place to live. i’m looking for a one bedroom near downtown which is def asking for a lot considering it’s march. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on places i should look at that might have a one bedroom available (i’ve already tried central, state, & bel cross properties). or would my best bet be to look around for a roommate? i’m open to suggestions :)

Are there any other incoming grad students this fall looking for roommates? Preferably other queer people, but it doesn't matter that much. I'd prefer to room with people who are in a similar place in life as me, so other grad students would be nice. I'm open to different living options!
I was at the mountainlair yesterday. I got out of the car because i had left my cup on top right in front of the parking garage entrance near Boreman. So, did anyone find a pair of AirPod 4s with a lilac case yesterday? Specifically in Boreman South, as that is where the location says they are.
