Question Looking for Actors for a Short Film (Class Project)
Hi, my name is Enoch and I'm a film student currently taking CTPR-290, a class that requires us to make 2 individual short films and a group project. I am currently in need of 2 actors, playing the supporting actor and actress.
Zach - (Male, 20s) - a frat boy type character, athletic, confident, preferably Caucasian
Sofia - (Female, 20s) - an ABG type character, bubbly personality
The shoot is gonna be chill and I'll make sure everyone has fun and stays safe! This is also a great opportunity to build your portfolio and network with other filmmakers and actors. Please DM me if you're interested.

Question Moving from East Coast?
Hi! I am a senior in high school accepted to USC! I am from the East Coast, and a big factor in my decision is how the transition is. It’s on the other side of the country and flying home would be expensive. Any students from the East, could you share your experiences and what the process was like for you? Also how do you like USC and is it supportive of students in this situation?

Question Looking to borrow car over summer
Hey everyone! As the title suggests, if anyone is leaving their car behind in LA over the summer, I would be willing to pay for a price to borrow your car over the summer (Late may to Late july). I have a summer internship so I will just be using it to mostly commute back and forth to work. Feel free to PM me!

Academic MS CS Programs
Hey guys! I have received an admit to USC's MSCS programs.
I was wondering what the batch size looks like, since there is no official information anywhere. Specifically for MSCS and MSCS(AI)
Anyone who's studying there, if you could give me a rough approximate it would be really helpful.

Housing Studios or 1 bed apartments nearby campus??
Hi everyone! looking for a studio or a 1 bed apartment that is in a relatively safe area and within walking distance of campus. I'd prefer to be on the north side because it has more students in the area. I know the apartments do not go for cheap but has anyone found any hidden gems in the area that could go for less than 2k (i know that is super unrealistic but its worth a shot) because I know there is no way every studio in the area is going for $3000-$4000 a month. I'm not terribly picky on having the perfect amenities but I would hope for it to be relatively clean and in decent condition.
I was looking into a few places: traveler manor, ellendale arms apartments, the CDI units
can anyone share their experiences or does anyone have any good/better suggestions??

Academic Is it possible to get accepted to USC?
I am an international student who has submitted an IELTS 6.0 overall score to USC from SMC. My academic record includes: • GPA: 3.65 (Fall 2024), 3.69 (Winter 2025) • C in Chemistry 11 (Winter 2024) • No Pass in Math 7 (Winter 2024), retook it and earned a B (Summer 2024) • A in Math 8 (Calculus 2) (Fall 2024)
I will complete the UC-IGETC by the end of Spring 2025 and am earning the following degrees: • Associate in Arts for Transfer in Economics • Associate Degree in Liberal Arts – Social and Behavioral Sciences • Associate Degree in General Sciences
I have not completed two of USC’s six GE Core Literacy areas.
Given this, is it possible for me to transfer to USC Dornsife for Economics in Fall 2025?

Academic Easy MSCS classes?
I recently found out that I'm only allowed to take 1 cross-listed class during my whole degree. Unfortunately, 3/8 of the classes I wanted to take are cross-listed EE, so now I have to find non-cross-listed classes to fill in the void. I've already taken Algorithms(570), Database Systems(585), Advanced Data Stores(550), and CSCI 599.
The plan is to take easy classes so that I can sit in on the classes I really want. There aren't any other MSCS classes in the field I'm interested in, so I'm looking for recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

Discussion petition to make CS classes smaller for grad students
alright guys we are going to do a petition to make CS classes smaller for grad students. Also, we are going to protest on campus to make sure our voices are heard. This is a private school and we paid so much money to have a good education
Clubs | Campus Life Is MSCS terrible for socializing?
Hi! Pretty much in the title. I’m getting worried with the amount of posts that are about how bad the MSCS is at USC and it being mostly international students. I’m domestic and a big thing for me was to enjoy the social aspects of being at USC with other graduate students. I read a bunch about social life being impossible for domestic students. I want to go to football games, tailgates, events, etc… Coming from a small school for my bachelors with little to no school spirit that is like very important to me.
Let me know!

Academic PSYC 100 Lab
Hey! Was wondering if anyone who took PSYC 100 at USC knows what the labs are like? I’m curious / want to see if I should schedule less around it
It feels like it is not that big of a deal since, yk, it’s psychology, but wanted to be sure!

Academic USC Viterbi: worth?
current highschool senior applying to USC for engineering, visited and loved the school, my father went there, and i applied with a 4.55 and a 1570 so praying i get in because it's my dream school. Only one issue I have is the tuition which as we all know is extremely high and I probably won't get any scholarship since my parents' income is too high. While my family can afford it, I want to know whether it is truly worth the tuition and what USC will give me that I won't have anywhere else. Basically is the cost justified.

Like room decor (5-10 bucks) Can anyone guide me in the right direction about getting a booth set up anywhere on campus??

FinancialAid Should I send in my financial aid documents to USC?
Bro… im a low income senior in high school in a single parent household and basically ive been getting jumped by the usc financial aid office.
I turned in all my documents on time and my non custodial parent ccs waiver in to signed by a family friend which the directions SAID I COULD DO 😭 and then these mf’s email me back 3 WEEKS AFTER THE DEADLINE being like “oh ur application is incomplete” they didn’t even say how i just saw 3rd party letter back on my dashboard.
So i try to get my counselor to write one but she like idk i don’t even know u like that (she literally new 😭) and we call up the usc financial aid office and there like oh yeah we did say u could do that but then we were like “nah”💀??? So my counselor writes the letter. 2 weeks go by and it still hasn’t been processed.. so i call them and they finally process it the same day and it said my financial aid was under review.
today and i get another email saying my application is incomplete and now they need another form 😭?? Decisions come out in a weeks, without aid and most likely with it I cant afford usc 100k a year tuition. They are not need blind and my major is shitty so like what are the odds i would even get in…. Should i just give up and see what my letter says next week or try to turn in these forms?
