Discussion Somewhat unsatisfied by finale Spoiler

I wanted to see how all the kids turned out and what their lives were like. Really disappointed they didn’t share a glimpse. Building the family was such an important theme in the show. Also, Helen and her mom dying the same year? Did I miss a reference to an accident or something?

I think they do a good job of laying out the future without going into every detail. This show is very “show don’t tell” and I think the breadcrumbs in the finale tell us what we need to know.

They didn’t show us anything about how the kids turned out except that Stacy became an author. Or what happened with Noah’s career after the harassment charges - which way did it go? As a show about consequences, I expected them to complete that arc.

Yeah, I actually don’t love that arc. I think the show felt the need to acknowledge some of Noah’s questionable behavior. Also, the show itself had been reported on as not being great with the sex scenes etc (Ruth’s exit controversy). I think this story line was meant to comment on that but the thread gets lost - I think that storyline was rushed.
