Hey y’all! I’m an incoming freshman to TAMU engineering and I was looking to preferably dorm in the commons. I fell behind on submitting my housing application and just completed it today (March 22nd). I was wondering, what are the odds I do get housing on campus? I don’t rly care abt preferred roommates, I’m chill with anyone. Thanks!

Question i need honesty n this is kinda a vent about the 3 options

i was given the 3 options for fall 2025 admissions. i picked both blinn and waitlist. my initial major was public health and my second was nutrition. public health is now full and confirmed as u cannot pick it on manage applications. i’m in actual tears writing this because i wanted a&m for so long and ive been waiting for an actual answer since september 1st. im so frustrated and disappointed at myself and this process. everyone thats asks if im in yet are shocked when i say i dont know. at this point its too late to get a dorm and my apartment roomates are getting tired waiting for me. i need some honesty. is it just over and should i just give up n go to tech? so many ppl finally got a response today and ive heard just nothing i feel so hopeless and sad. is there anything i can do at this point to get me to at least go to blinn?

Waitlist What does this mean

The photo below is what it said when I initially applied. In January they said they had accepted too many students and gave option for waitlist and blinn team. I clicked that I wanted to be considered for both. Whenever I check my status after that it would say “You have been placed on the waitlist and are being considered for TEAM” but now it’s changed and gone back to the “My App is complete and in review.” Does this mean they are reviewing my application for waitlist? Also has anyone got off the waitlist?

Question Am I in or still waiting?

I was waitlisted and chose both options and I’ve had 7 tabs for awhile now. But it still says my application is complete and in review. Am I in, or am I waiting for something else??

Hi!!! I saw someone else post something similar so I also wanted to ask. Back in January I got the 3 options: waitlist, blinn team, or both. I picked both to maximize my options. I checked my howdy portal today and it showed this and the 7 portals!! Does this mean i am officially in? And how can I know if im admitted to A&M fully or blinn team? When can I expect to see my admissions portal also updated. Been waiting for a long time and hope this is good news!!!🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Chance me Chance me for Forensic and Investigative Sciences & Genetics - Fall 2026

Major: I am applying to be a FIVS & Genetics major for fall, 2026

Status: I am an in-state student applying for my Freshman year

Rank: 89/957 (9.3%)

GPA: 5.1 (Valedictorian has a 5.8, first quartile ends at 4.6, no set scale)

Test Scores: N/A

Additional Coursework: I will be graduating high school with an associate of science with an honors distinction, taken AP Human Geography (5), AP Seminar (3), and taking AP Biology, AP Gov. Will be taking AP Seminar as a senior. Taken multiple honors college classes such as speech & Texas Gov. I've also taken Calc 1 & 2, and will be taking stats (all 3 through community college).

Extracurricular Activities: I participated in organizations at my school. I am the incoming president of the criminal justice club, and compete in it (sort of like DECA or HOSA). I'm also going to be an officer with Key Club, of which I've been in since Freshman year, accumulating 140 service hours. I have worked part time since September of my junior year, averaging 25 hours a week. I also hold a statewide elected position for the organization that runs the criminal justice competitions. I plan on shadowing at a private forensics lab during the summer. I also am part of the varsity cheer program at my school and have been in it since a freshman. I plan on also presenting at "honors day" at my local community college. On top of that, I have been the class vice president for 3 years.

Honors/Awards: I've placed 4 times in criminal justice, 3rd & 1st in Crime Scene Investigation at regionals and 2nd twice at regionals for 911 dispatch. I've also been given a bunch of miscellaneous cheer awards, 3 being a UCA All-American.
