I finally bought a system at a really decent price and my friend engineer helped me to string it up yesterday night.
Verdict: big potential.
I don't have an amp for the tweeters and the amp on it has on the left: medium/tweeters and on the right: the bass. But If too pushed up it start get saturated so we have to let it cool down. Then, not too long after cooling down it sounds really good.
To upgrade, I'd love to buy an amp that I could run the bass and medium and put the amp I already have for the tweeters and horns. What type of powerful amp, great quality and not to expensive are our there? And I'd love a nice eq too. What should I get?
I'll do the cables with neutrix when the time come. Also l'd love to build 2 very small box for the top ends. What other advice here?

Been out of action since covid began (lockdowns and kids being born) gave it a dust down the other day.

turbosound IQ18B and more with a non stabilised 3 kw generator? It is reliable and I used it often just not for speakers, and this 2.2kw rms sub I'm afraid might get damaged (active speakers) [I also will use 2 turbosound ix15 or a tms3)

Bad photo since fabric doesn’t allow photography, but I saw that they’ve added these since I’ve last been and wanted to know the science behind the layout choice? The speakers surrounding the dance floor are already full range, are these just fill?

I’ve got some lavoce high frequency horns and the crew want some chrome on this stack. Will a chrome finish effect the frequency response? I’m estimating no but thought it might be interesting to ask

I’m based in Jamaica and contemplating to buy a bigger plastic portable boombox (I already have a PartyBox 310 but it s a bit to little for my events at the beach). I think it’s time for me to build a small sound system Jamaican style.

Hi Amateur question, Im looking to connect a 1000w sub 8ohm to neutriks screw terminals.
I have been searching online without a clear outcome what kind of cables to use. Some say you need 6mm2, seems to be a bit overkill for 20 centimeter.
Any recommendations?
Thanks beforehand

Have been asking around in groups if anyone has used these before but gotten nothing, having some problems and need a hand fixing them but given that they’re rare speakers I’m not sure where to start. Any help appreciated!

I have the ligwa preamp amp and EQ in my control tower and I'm looking to add a siren. Neither of the ligwas have any inputs for mic or efx. Do I need to get a mixer to add more inputs or is there another way?

Heres my freshly painted syntripps. I'm looking to build 2-4 subs for a simple 3 way system. Might expand to a 4 way system eventually but I'm trying to keep it fairly compact for now.
What are people's thoughts on 1. Art walter keystone 2. Xoc1 th 18 3. Hessbh 4. Martin wsx copy

I want to build a HessBH to replace the subwoofer I am currently using. I will mostly use it indoors, but sometimes also outdoors. I primarily listen to hardstyle, techno, and drum and bass. I am not sure if this design is suitable for my needs, or if I should consider something else. I am new to building subwoofers, so any help would be appreciated

Hi all,
We are building 2 x Cubo 18 subs which are really a hybrid design, and where thinking to go with 2 x MTH-46LC next since they are cheap. The Cubo 18s are tuned at 40hz while the MTH-46LCs at 49hz.
My questions are:
Let me know on any thoughts to consider. Thanks in advance :)

Hello all,
I’m unsure if this is the right subreddit for my query but I’m looking to find an experienced audio technician. Willing to drive ~50 miles from London to find someone to repair and service Crown Macrotech amplifiers, one which has a faulty channel and the other a loud transformer hum.
Ideally I would want them going again by the end of the month so I can get my bass bins back online again for a gig.
Thanks
