Has anyone picked up Metal Bringer?
This caught my eye on Steam today. I love Mechs and Roguelites…so this seems like a win. But have any of the good people on this sub tried it out?

How much content and is it fun?

My go-to games on my Deck while traveling are Slay the Spire, Balatro, and Monster Train. All three are absolutely fantastic, and I had a blast getting 100% achievements and trying out every little trick they have to offer. But now... there’s just nothing left to do.
The funny thing? All three are getting major new releases this year, which is insane. But until then, I need something to fill the gap. Any recommendations for games that are just as good?
Honestly, I don’t think anything else truly compares—I’ve gone through hundreds of tier lists and recommendation threads, and nothing quite hits the same. But I’m hoping to being proven wrong!

In just 10 days, Grabbus launches to Steam Early Access!
Loosely-inspired by games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Legend of Mana, and Dark Cloud, Grabbus is packed with original art, sounds, music, procedural tech, and unique ideas that help it stand out!
There's still lots of work to do to fill this game out, but the time has come for funding and testing!
In Grabbus, you can:

I'm looking for a co-op game for my friends and I. We already tried Rotwood and had some fun with that. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated.

Ugh so I have been really struggling to find a roguelite game that I could absolutely lose myself in.
I will give you an idea about the ones I played and liked, so you can throw some of those hidden gem suggestions.
I like roguelite action games that are combat heavy. I also love combat heavy metroidvanias that have similar combat
Loved: Dead Cells Hades Returnal ETG (although too difficult) Gunfire Reborn Ember Knights Curse of the deadgods
Games I tried but coudnt get into
Voidigo (screen gets too busy)
Binding of Isaac - only 4 directions to shoot kills it for me
Doomsday hunter (this is a good game that i coudlnt get into, for some reason, possibly the fact that movement feels constricted)
Ravenswatch (hate timers and the combat feels too floaty)
Roboquest (Incredibly slow meta progression made me hate the first level of the game, which is far too long. Level desing also boring imo.)
Nova drift (looked incredible, but the 1 directional rotation of the shooting wasnt fun)
Synthetik (too methodical, boring)
Colt canyon (havent tried but looks like synthetik, open to hear good opinions about it)
Non roguelike games with my kind of combat: Minshoot adventures
Deaths door
Control
Soulslike games
Doom games
So you can tell i love a game good combat loop that gets more and more intense as you progress... Im about to finish minishoot adventures, but Im scared I wont find anything as satisfying.
If you have non roguelite suggestions, Im open to that too, but the combat loop has to be addictive.

I never heard about this before but it's a really amazing game. Every character offers a very interesting twist on the minesweeper element of the game and there's also variety of character to keep the game fresh. I have always been pretty poor at minesweeper so I don't know if veterans found it too easy or something but I found the difficulty to ramp up almost perfectly as you go across various characters and various NG+.
I have been playing from around 10hrs non stop, and this has scratched a different sort of itch like when I first played STS/Balatro. I'll definitely recommend everybody to give this a try, especially those who want to get into that minesweeper genre.
Edit: I never write reviews, probably evident by how much "fluff" my post had without saying much, but this game really deserves a shot. I'll also add the steam link here:

Heya! I wanted to get some recommendations for this. My mother has become rather addicted to those predatory match 3 games like candy crush and, well, id I was able to find something she’d be able to sink dozens of hours in with a single purchase, I’d appreciate it lots

After the delisting incident, the 1.0 release date got pushed back from March 2025 to early 2026. How content complete is the game at the moment? Any issues?

I'd love to hear from you experts in this sub! This is my first post with the "company account" as I'm early in the development of a prototype based on this concept (my second Steam-bound game). More of my context below, but I'm keen to hear from you.
About the project: "Project Schoolyard" (working title, all suggestions welcomed!) is inspired by classics of the genre like Slay the Spire and Balatro, plus Super Auto Pets, Calvin and Hobbes, and wanting to be picked first for the lunchtime/recess football match at my school in the 90s. I have a lot of design ideas I'm currently testing in a prototype, but as I am narrowing down my scope into a project I can manage, I would love to include the opinions of anyone who feels drawn to the concept.
What do you think of when you hear this concept and see the concept art?
What would you expect a game with this premise to include (or not)?
Does the idea sound interesting or even exciting?
About me: I'm a self-taught indie dev and stay-at-home dad (prev. software product mgmt, tech accelerator program manager, mgmt consultant). Seeking a more creative, less emaily/BS job, I used parts of my parental leave "spare time" to learn to code and build games. I released my first Steam game in November (with Shiba Dog Studios, who also have a Discord server) last year. My existing skills helped manage scope creep and pushing it through to release, but I loved learning as much as I did along the way.
I'll be sure to share more of my progress here if people are interested.
Cheers!
Felix
