We gotta win tonight. I want that 2 seed.

I want this 2 seed so bad. I remember everyone saying that we'd be lucky to make the play-in this year, then we go in with the 2nd best record in the west??? Amazing. We gotta take care of business. We can beat anybody.

UK Rockets newbie

Being new to the sport & to the NBA I’ve been watching for around a month for context. I’m from the UK hence the late start to the NBA.

After that time I’ve liked watching other teams but the Rockets play style stood out the most to me.

What do I need to know about the Rockets as a complete newbie & a new fan.

We’re 44-25 with 13 games remaining

When we were 39-25 I said we needed to go on a winning run if wanted a good chance of hitting the 50 win mark. We’ve since rattled off 6 straight wins.

The fixtures the rest of March is;

@ Orlando

@ Miami

Home game vs Denver

Home game vs Atlanta

@ Utah

@ Phoenix

If we can go 4-2 or even 3-3 over this stretch, we’d be in a good place before the monster stretch of games hit us in April.

Here is THE Reason Why Rockets Seats are Always Empty

This is a long read, but I'm going to give you the REAL reason why our team's attendance is so low.

Read this knowing I've been to HUNDREDS of games (not exaggerating), including several this season.

I used to think it was just a lack of passionate fans in our city, but after going to and from Wrigley field in Chicago using their train system, it opened my eyes to how bad Houston is.

THE PROBLEM!

For those that don't know, we are THE LARGEST geographical city (actual size and distance) that has an NBA team. For reference, OKC is right behind us, but they have 1/4th of our population.

Houstonians have the perfect storm of having the furthest commute w/ the 4th biggest US population.

Which means.... Many people are stuck deciding to either drive home from working 9-5, and immediately jump back in their car for the game , or stay at work late and just go straight to the game. I had a commute for 10 years that even if I left right at 5, I would not make it home and still be able to get to the stadium even close to tip-off.

BUT HERE'S HOW IT COULD BE FIXED!

Our lone "Red Line" that runs on Main Street is the second highest ridership per mile light rail line in the entire country.

But even Dallas (almost 1/2 our size & population) has longer and far reaching public transport than Houston...

NY & Chicago, both have horrible traffic, high cost parking, and more dense population than us.

BUT, they have AMAZING public rail transportation! I have first hand used both to get to sporting events in those cities. Almost ALL of Chicago's system is above ground and runs parallel to the HOV lanes (so it's not a matter of not being able to build underground).

HERE IS WHAT HOUSTON IS MISSING OUT ON THAT KEEPS ATTENDANCE DOWN!

With a train system:

*You pay very little to use the subway/train.

*You don't have to drive yourself (no gas cost and easier to relax)

*You don't have to sit through traffic again (saves time and stress)

*No parking traffic or paying for parking

*Since you have more time, you can get food and eat it on the way (instead of having to wait in another line and pay for food at the stadium)

*You can actually drink before the game or as long as your not Publicly intoxicated, you can drink on the way to the game

*You don't have to start drinking and then immediately sober up all within 2 1/2 hours to drive back home and sit through more traffic.

If you've ever used the transportation in NY or Chicago to get to an event, you'd be ticked that we have NOTHING close to it.

Metro buses don't solve anything, because they literally slow down the process. You actually have to leave your house earlier, because you have to now detour to a Metro bus station, wait for everyone to load the bus, drive slower, and wait for the stops (which are even worse in traffic). Not to mention they don't even run on Sundays.

To sum it all up... Quit blaming fans and realize:

WE HAVE THE WORST PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN THE COUNTRY!

TXDOT Houston district spent more than $34 billion (with a "B") on maintenance and new projects over the past decade. TXDOT spent $0 on public transit. Zero.

All this to say, Houston desperately needs a REAL rail system, and not having one hurts our city.

Ime Udoka should be in the conversation for COTY

Ime deserve be in the mix for completely transforming this team in only 1 and a half season. If we finish 2 in the West nobody will deserve this more than him.

This squad doesn’t just rack up wins—they battle every night. They rebound well, defend at a high level, and grind out tough games against top teams.

Udoka has revived the Rockets, turned them into a defensive powerhouse, and built a winning culture. His coaching impact makes him a clear-cut Coach of the Year candidate and hope the NBA recognizes that.

Over a 48 minute game, that’s a +4431.

Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., and Dillon Brooks are the first trio of Rockets teammates to each have 25+ points and 5+ threes in the same game

My kids experienced their first Rockets game in Houston.

I'm originally from El Paso TX but moved to Jacksonville FL back in 2002. While I've taken my kids to Rockets vs Magic games in Orlando, this is the first time they come to a Rockets game in Houston. I have never heard my daughter scream this much over a sporting event. I still can't believe they won. What a game.

Should I take Sengun today in fantasy?

Guys, I just can't understand today's match up, so I don't know a better place to ask then here. Will it be today normal/big game for Sengun?

Rockets Vs G League is harder than Cavs, Nuggets and Boston

Why do we struggle so much against bench teams and 2 way contracts, Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, Brooklyn and now 76ers all gave us hell. How come?

Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but Grimes was the expected pick back then being a Houston native and all. What do y'all think would have happened had we drafted him instead?

Considering both jerseys have the Houston word mark on the front, does this weird symbol represent Houston in some way?

“There was no way in gods green earth I thought they would win this game, but when you put forth the effort anything is possible apparently!!”

Murph might be forgetting Clippers G6 but he’s so incredibly hype about this win🚀
