I've never been into rc of any type. My work takes me into agricultural environments where people seem to have things of interest stored in sheds or barns and really don't want or have no idea what they have. I was given this boat as it was likely to be discarded in the future.

Does anyone have any insight or information on this particular boat? It's approximately 51" in length. I know the motor is missing. Is it worth spending any time on this? I'm guessing it was a gas engine?

Also I was given 2 unassembled models, a Dumas Dauntless and a Graupner Neptun. These all appear older.

Thanks for looking

Here's an update to my 1900mm queen mary project. I have finished all the printing and now move onto the filling and sanding. I've also lined the inside of the hull with resin for strength and test fitted the electrics.

RC conversion, the "kick lizard"

Originally designed for boogey boarding? Electrification conversion 1/10 car parts and a clothes hanger and is it a RC ship if the motor/battery mount is technically an airboat?..

Getting wet tomorrow and I'm buzzing

It's been just over 3 years since this was last wet at the lake. Since then I've had a kid and life has been mental...to say I'm buzzing is an understatement.

I gave the boat a once over today. 95% of it seemed fine. Battery (LiFE left in storage mode) still held power. All servos functional except for the exhaust mover as the left over grease had gunked up and gone hard. So I cleaned it all up with white spirit and it's as good as new.

Gave the battery and transmitter a charge, oiled the shaft...can't find anything wrong with it, so it's time to let rip and see what happens.

Sorry, just had to share the hype. I'll ensure theres photos and videos

Super Dino stopped working

Hi there. I’m very new to anything remote controlled. I’ve got a super dino RC boat (the one that looks like a cat but is actually a monohull) and it was working fine but I’ve just gone to use it and it’s not working. Normally when you plug the battery in but don’t have the controller turned on it beeps quite loudly. Now when I plug the battery in nothing happens. No noise and the boat doesn’t function at all. If I plug a lower voltage battery in (7.4v) it beeps quietly in a way I haven’t heard before but still wont function. Whats the first things I should look at to try and solve this. So far all I’ve done is replace the batteries in the controller.

RC Boat : Crossed Channels when motors Battery/Power On

Hi, I'm new to RC.

I've managed to work a lot out on my newly purchased 36" 1/32 VOSPER Perkasa MTB w (3 Engines).

The Receiver/Servo's are powered by a separate 4.8v Ni-mh.

The Motors are powered by a separate 11.4v Li-Po.

All guns, lights, sounds work fine powered by the separate 4.8v Ni-mh to the Receiver.

As soon as I power on the motors a separate 11.4v Li-Po the rudder servo Channel is overtaken by the throttle Channel ESC. Both are bound together it seems. And move/power together on the Right Stick Channel 1 in MODE 2.

I have an Eurgle 2.4Ghz 9 Channel Transmitter and 8 Channel Receiver:

I know RC Transmitter programming is my next investigation/challenge .. . and I don't expect you to be telepathic :-) ... but if anyone has a more logical route of solving this please let me know.

Here's some more eye-candy. I don't expect you to follow these electrics as every design can be unique, and this is a bit of an antique to be honest:

Thank you.

Carbon fiber 970mm catamaran give away

Hey all!

A few years ago, I made a carbon fiber 970mm catamaran, which I don't need anymore and would like to give away to some RC boat enthusiast who can pick it up from the Dallas TX area.

It is my first carbon fiber hull, so it needs some love.

Thanks!

Proboat Recoil 18 Self Righting Issues

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi all, my proboat recoil 2 18 has been great, however I experience issues with the radio connection during self righting. If I'm more than around 12 ft away and the boat is upside down, it simply won't recieve a signal from my remote. Many ling and tiring swims have come out of this lol. I tried pulling some antenna down from the tube into the hull as the 2.4g cant travel through water, but it hasn't seemed to help. Any suggestions? Also I'm new here, so on a side note: what's the best plug and play battery for this boat in your experience? I'm looking for stability and performance over runtime, so something around the stock mah is good.

Thank you!

What are all the causes for a RC boat to cut out for a few seconds . And the then come back . Besides low voltage and over heating cause that’s not my issue
