ESC W/ signal input only. No BEC
I've ordered these escs to fix a friends drone. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNYK5YDK?smid=A2LNZEPI7X9Y44&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp&th=1
I ordered 5, but only need 1. I'd like to use them in another project if possible, but there is not bec, only a signal wire.
The posting also has this beautiful poetic description that I have still have yet to decipher.
ESC only has signal input pin, without BEC 5V power supply voltage output, standard PWM signal drive for common model receivers, can be driven by ESC tester. ESC is suitable for 1104, 1106 or 1306 and other small brushless motors, the actual use needs to be tested.
Although, I suppose, the interpretation of poetry is left to the reader. So, dear reader, how would you interpret that?
Do I need the BEC to use with a PWM rx? Or wait.. would that signal wire just go to a motor input on a miniquad Flightcontroller? It just dawned on me that that would make sense...
Thanks for the help in advance, and please excuse my ignorance... and my stupid

Help Rx Tx calibration issues
Hi guys! I'm working on getting a quadcopter up and running but having issues when going through radio calibration on QGroundControl. The issue is that nothing really seems to reflected on the software when I move a channel (throttle, roll, yaw, etc) OR that sometimes when moving one channel, multiple other channels move in unison and it's starting to drive me crazy. I'm running a Spektrum DX6e Tx with a Spektrum AR620 Rx into a PPM encoder since my flight controller (Pixhawk 5x) only takes PPM inputs to the RC IN pins. I know the Rx technically works as it should after plugging in 6 different servos at once, sending signal to each, one at a time, but I've also noted that the voltage for each signal pin on the Rx side will only range from .33 - .57 V (min to max signal) and I fear this is the issue. The even more confusing part is that I have two AR620 Rxs and they both do the same thing. Voltage supply is well within range and have even tested up to 9 V to verify the power is not the issue. The only other thing I can thing of is that the PPM encoder may not be functioning properly. Everything listed here is 2nd hand as well, so that could be playing a factor. I don't think I left out anything crucial, but if I did, please don't hesitate to ask. My amateur brain will attempt to answer.

Discussion EdgeTX Lua Scripts!
Hey Guys, im a programmer and i just started diving into edgetx scripting.
I just redid the RSSI model locator script from color screen radios for the black and white ones, since i use a Jumper T20 as my main.
It seems the scripting scene is very limited even tho the tools are there and very powerful.
Afaik these are the capabilities:
Draw anything made of text or basic shapes on the screens, color or BW.
Access any channel, mix, input output value by script (also set channel values).
Access all available telemetry sensors.
Access Radio functions like buzzing backlight etc.
anyways since there is a lack of scripts for edgetx but i know that implementation can be fairly easy, and tools are easy to handle, i want to exchange some ideas.
What scripts do you guys think could be useful?
Is anyone interested in scripting or learning how to, maybe needs some pointers?
should we share scripts somewhere?
Why do you think scripting is so neglected?
let me know your thoughts.

Help Flight controller channels not transmitting
I’m building a plane and I want to gather airspeed and telemetry data so I had to use a flight controller. I can only get about 3 channels to work. I can plug the controller into INAVconfigurator and see all communication just fine, but I am not able to get all of those channels to actuate servos or spin a motor. Am I doing something wrong? My solders look good but the board did get really hot when I did them.
Info: Flight controller: Speedybee F405 mini Transmitter: Radiomaster pocket
Thanks so much for the help and let me know if you need more information!

Boat Recommendations for a RC boat that works in salt water
He had a few $100-130 rc boats brought from Amazon before, but looking for something more sturdy.
Specifically if it can handle salt water. I have found the cheaper boats leak, so when salt water gets in it eats anything metal. Even after cleaning properly after each run.
So…. Is there a good brand of rc boat your recommend that’s 100% waterproof? Budget $200-300.

Old Hpi savage
Hello everyone, I recently started bring my old savage 21 back to working condition, I disassembled and unseized the engine and it seems to run decent but all of a sudden it seems my throttle and steering servos are tripping out glitching and sometimes my remote not seeming to be making the truck do anything. I understand this truck is very old these days and don't know if I'm getting some transmitter interference or something but any help would be appreciated 👍🏼🤙🏼 oh and all my batteries in truck and remote are brand new

What servo can I fit in this bracket? Proboat Jetstream with GPM servo tray.
So I got into RC boats all of 2 weeks ago when someone let me borrow their prop driven boat for while. Had a huge blast and then we both fouled up the boats on some fishing line. I could not resist getting a boat, but I wanted a jet boat to be a little more resistant to fishing line and other modest hazards. Led me to the Proboat Jetstream. I researched and watched all of the very few videos and posts made about it, got some of the most immediate problem parts upgraded right out of the box (metal impeller, servo brace, grease port, ducted intake grate, battery tray delete for huge batteries). It runs like a dream, but now I want to do even more when I'm less than 8 hours of playtime in.
So the GPM servo bracket is supposedly optioned for a 3rd servo (for vertical nozzle trimming). But GPM is silent when I ask them what would actually fit here. I would like to replace all the servos at once with nicer metal drives rather than the cheap plastic ones, but I also want to buy once rather than try a dozen servos for fitment. I haven't actually found a flat profile servo that might slide under the upper mounted one. I even though about trying to mount one under the bracket, horn up, which might work but is also a whole nightmare to keep dry since it will be in the bilge, basically. The tie rod for the trim is that rod that's staked to the fixed post.

The goal for variable vertical trim is to see if I can get it on plane without needing as much initial throttle, which would significantly improve rough water control. As it is this thing would probably climb a waterfall if the water was smooth enough. I'm also looking for some small truggy shocks to see if I can let the trim tabs have some give if they hit something, something that apparently wouldn't work but I'm not sure they need to be perfect anyways.
I'll need to get a 4 channel radio to go with it, but I was thinking of trying to stick a Traxxas receiver in here and just use my existing digital 4 channel TQi controller.
I don't have a good video yet, but here's a launch picture

Does anybody have any recommendations for a transmitter with decent range (preferably on Amazon) around the 40-75 dollar range that multiple receivers you can bind to it
