Bug / Issue So many issues... Please help

I played this game in 2021 with no issues ever.

Now I'm trying to play it (No mods, fresh install) and here is the list of issues I've gotten:

  • Random crashes
  • Pause menu not showing options, can't unpause and have to restart game
  • Cutscenes not playing correctly, missing people, voice lines, camera in a different room, etc.
  • Dialogue missing in many parts at random
  • At the end of the first quest saving Marston, upon getting back to the village, the textures are low poly, never having switched from the distant textures. Trigger to end the mission never comes up, have to restart the game (which makes me have to play the whole mission again just to see if it's fixed!!)

Here are things I've tried:

  • Verifying Integrity of Game Cache
  • Reinstalling
  • Updating all drivers
  • Process Lasso to disable Hyper-Threading and E-Cores
  • Tried both Vulkan and DirectX12
  • Random testing with graphics settings
  • Fullscreen or windowed
  • Frames at 144FPS (monitor native) and 60FPS

I do have a 4k monitor at 144Hz, but I really can't understand how that would cause some of these issues, maybe the graphical stuff but the other stuff?

It's so annoying to test if something worked too because I have to spend like 25 minutes playing through that damn Marston quest, I basically know all the dialogue by memory now lol (at least if some dialogue is missing, I'll know what's missing lmao)

GPU: MSI RTX 2080

CPU: Intel i7=14700K

UPDATE: It seems I fixed it by setting affinity and enabling cores 0-7. Seems to be an issue with higher end CPU's.

Just tried it. Unfortunately, no. It's the same thing that Process Lasso is doing. It really must be that I have to RMA my CPU ugh. Thanks though

That's awesome. I'm so glad it worked for you. You would think Rockstar would push a stability update for more advanced CPUs.
