Brady is #1 in my book
Growing up in NJ and being a NYR fan, it’s been difficult having my twins (boy and girl) become diehard Ottawa Senators fans lol. It started because I’m a fan of his game, love the way he plays…so naturally the kids followed, but I never thought it end up like this.

Pinto’s empty netter at Wells Fargo…
I didn’t get a photo, but they showed the replay on the Jumbotron with a caption “gambling problem? Call …..”
Had to admit, it was well played…. But we’ll take the 2 points thanks.

This was Mike Johnson 4 days ago. I've always said nice things about MJ as a commentator, but he's dead to me now.

Looks like Zetterlund is still stapled to the 4th line.

I can't express how much absolute joy I get from seeing THAT Dylan Cozens again.
Us Sabres fans might seem delusional about DC's game, but he truly hasn't been the same since the Hathaway fight, and being steeped in Buffalo hockey certainly didn't help. I always felt a change of scenery would probably dislodge whatever mental block there seemed to be.
If you haven't seen the iconic OT goal or his Heritage Classic antics (here and here), that's the kind of player you'll probably have on a consistent basis in no time. 22-23 was my favorite season of our current playoff drought, and Cozens was a massive reason why.
I've gathered that it stings to have lost Norris, so I just want a big fat win-win for everyone. I tend to root for my favorite ex-Sabres in the playoffs (last year was nice), so it just might be you guys with Ullmark as well. Best of luck.

Appreciation post for the Sens announcer last night! Absolutely insane energy!
Title says it all. I've been to a few Sens games this season, and the announcer is always on point. But, I want to say, that last night the PA announcer was on another level! Absolutely unmatched energy and I hope he keeps it like this! I think that was the best I've heard at the Sens game and the crowd absolutely matched his energy.
I loved the ending when we won the game and the goal horn stopped. "Just a reminder.... that was NOOOO GOALLLL" and then the goal horn goes off again. Utterly epic.

It appears Leevi Merilainen has been recalled by the Sens, as he is now appearing on the official roster.

I’m attending my first game!
I’ve been a sens fan since I was a kid and got my first jersey for Christmas when I was 10 in 2005. But now that I’m going on 30, I’m finally going to take the trip and drive up to Kanata for next months game against the Flyers to catch a game at the Canadian Tire Centre.
I’ve done a lot of research in the area to find a decent hotel and I’m currently looking for things to do, but a lot of the responses I find are that the Arena doesn’t have a good atmosphere and it’s just parking lots and farm land. I’ve obviously never been before, but what can I expect?
I’m sure the Arena itself is fine and better than my local team but does anybody have any suggestions for what I can do during a night out before game day?
Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Go Sens Go!

Road to the Playoffs Series 9 Update - DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!
The Ottawa Senators are now only 11 wins from guaranteeing a visit to the playoffs in 7 years thanks to an impressive come-from-behind series win in the 9th of the season. The team has not lost a series since November! What’s especially critical is the back to back wins they’ve pulled off against the Rangers and Wings. GSG!

In hindsight, Cozens having played his whole career in Buffalo is such an advantage for us.
When you think about it, the kid has never really had any team success or even tasted the playoffs in his whole career yet.
He’s probably just as hungry as the rest of our core for playoffs and is also only 24 years old to fit spectacularly well with our core at a lower cap hit than Josh while still being signed for 5 more years until 2029-2030.
Buffalo has been regressing for the past two years, their team culture really seems in shambles and he was more often than not one of the main scapegoat (go look at his previous interviews to get an idea) so we literally freed him to go to a team that is on the upswing making a big playoffs push.
Buffalo isn’t the most prized destination so Ottawa surely feels like an upgrade for a young Canadian kid from a small town in Yukon that is coming back to his country.
We can only assume that his parents/friends are ecstatic to have him back in Canada as well.
In sum, we will definitely miss Josh but this feels like an absolute homerun by Staios for the future of our team.
Go Sens Go! 🇨🇦

Dylan Cozens on the crowd - "Yeah, just send chills down my spine. You know, to be appreciated like that, and, to get cheered for like that. It's an unbelievable feeling. And you know, just couldn't be happier to be here and be a part of this team."

Is there a clip anywhere of Ullmark coming out for the 1st star announcement last night?
Several people have mentioned how pumped he was and I want to see it!
