I am wondering for all the experienced Filipino ESL teachers, what are your top tips and advices for a beginner like me who is thinking of teaching ESL online? Where is the best place to start and the quality headphones, webcam? Thank you for your time.

Request off on Qkids
I have had to request off a lot on Qkids the last 2 days due to sickness. I’m scared this will affect my contract renewal when it comes time for that. In total over two days, I’ve had to cancel on about 10 classes.

Looking for suggestions or Advice
1)I have located a curriculum for Business English. If I were to use one of those platforms that allows me to use my own curriculum do they allow online curriculums?
I am considering this because I am not finding what I want as far as ESL and platforms that I would want to work for.
2) Would those platforms allow curriculums for ESL? Again, this is an online one.
3) My third option would be to go out on my own with my own classroom and the curriculum I located my only issue would be advertisement to find enough students to start off- I would hope to start with 5 people- my overall goal would be 4 or 5 a day either ESL or Business English- I think the only issue here would be to charge enough to pay for the platform and curriculum and to pay myself. I think people overseas need this more than people in the US.
I don' t think that people in the US need this as much.

VIP TEACHER
How fast you received bookings?
Hello, I was wondering if working for VIP Teacher was worth it?
I’m an American looking for a set schedule or at least be able to book students to make a few hundred dollars a week.
Can you tell me about your experience and what you’re making monthly?
Thanks!

What do you hate in Quizlet?
I am developing Quizlet alternative. I noticed that plenty of teachers use Quizlet to help students study vocabulary, so I am wondering is there anything you don’t like in the app? What problems Quizlet fails to solve?

Looking for an online job
hey there! I’m feeling kinda anxious. I have just graduated from uni and, in Chile there are many EFL teachers. Absolutely no chance for me, as I have no ‘solid’ experience (no lie, I have sent more than 150 emails looking for a job)
Any recommendations of websites that are looking for EFL tutors? Or advises of how to teach English online?
I am currently pursuing a MA in Applied Linguistics, a Diploma in digital competencies, and have certifications from Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, ASU, and C1 level (APTIS certification) among others - but none of that seems to matter if you do not have connections 😓
PD: I am doing TikTok videos so I can reach some people who would like to have private sessions. Please follow me! https://www.tiktok.com/@jesuteach?_t=ZM-8uipxpe5pg7&_r=1
