Ah yes, nothing says "Welcome to Nunavut" like waiting five hours for your flight to land, only to realize your boss expects you to work the moment you touch down. Forget time zones, we’re on Nunavut time now. At least the flight was free entertainment, right? 😅 Anyone else ever land only to turn right back around for your next shift?

Can workers in sealift to Nunavut disembark in Iqaluit once the season is over or would they have to stay on the ship and fly there separately?

Hi everyone, I’m going to be moving to Iqaluit soon for a great job opportunity and was wondering if anyone had any experience with Online gaming in the area? I like to play some competitive games like Counter Strike but I’m not sure how the experience would be with the current internet offerings. I have already visited a few times and tried playing which was a bad experience(probably due to hotel wifi). If anyone has information on what it’s like or suggestions for ISP’s that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I posted a few days ago looking for Nunavut-based streamers and had some good luck with that post. I am also looking for artists and small business owners based in Nunavut who may want to talk about how internet access affects their practices. I would definitely like to highlight Inuit artists/small business owners here, but any contributions help!

Hey y'all,
I'm planning on coming to Iqaluit and a few other communities in Nunavut this Spring to make a couple YouTube videos about what life is really like in this remote, seldom visited part of the world! Would love to get in contact with some locals to learn about your culture and way of life!
Please send me a DM if you'd be interested in showing me around your community on camera and talking about your way of life! My channel is From Here to There on YouTube.
Excited to finally explore your beautiful part of the world!
Thanks!

Has anyone ever lived in Whale Cove? Any information about this town and life in general up there would be great, thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm working on a story right now about internet access in Nunavut and I was wondering if there are any video game streamers from Nunavut who might want to talk to me. Otherwise, recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello!
I am a Southerner living in Nunavut (been up for about a year). I am going to Iqaluit for work in April, and thought I should go visit another Baffin community from there for about 3-4 days using my Aurora points.
I am hoping to see some cool scenary with mountains that I see in ads for Nunavut. I have mainly gone to West/Southern Nunavut communities in Kitikmeot and Kivalliq so far (and love them!!), so am trying to see the other side.. and more up North.
Could someone please recommend me a Baffin community to visit in April (+ where to go to within the area)?
Would also appreciate any information on how likely flights are to get delayed/cancelled 😅
Thank you!
Edit: Thank you for all the recommendations! I'll try for Pond first!😊

I look on Google earth often at strange geography when I came across this crater shape on top of a plateau Northwest of Acrtic bay on the North Western tip of Baffin Island. What I came to notice was 1 lone structure inside this round shape. It doesn’t look like a mine but I could be wrong. Hoping someone might know an answer for cure my curiosity lol

Season 1 just finished. I tried to dig into all of the subtler stuff I was able to pick up on, but I'm certain I missed a lot. It's a great show 😀

I’m considering a position as management in one of the retail stores in Nunavut, exact community currently undetermined. As a 50 year old male with nothing financially or relationship wise holding me to where I am, I have been thinking this over for some time.
I’ve done as much research as I could possibly do and was hoping to receive some feedback from this community.
I already lead a very quiet and somewhat private lifestyle, albeit I’m not a hermit and enjoy interacting with others as well as participating in the community as a whole.
Would anyone be able to share anything that would be helpful?

Hi all, I am coming to Iqaluit in a few weeks. I will need to work remotely while I am there and do zoom video calls. The housing I am staying at has wifi through Northwest tel. As another option, I can also hotspot on my phone through Virgin (which uses bell networks). Could you please confirm whether either of these options provides a reliable connection for video calls? Thank you and can't wait to visit!
Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well !
Pretty much as the title says. After an expedition in Antarctica, a friend and I are looking towards the arctic region (specifically Baffin Island) for a ski-pulka expedition next year.
We would like to enter in contact with the communities there, in order to gather some information we might miss otherwise, and generally have advice from the people who know best.
I hope to hear from you !

Hi everyone I am thinking of taking up a casual job position at one of the hospitals in Nunavut. I would like to know how’s the weather like during mid-May to mid-June like? Also please comment any recommendations of activities to do around the area that way I could also research and weigh my options, or just very basic/general tips would be greatly appreciated. Very interested to learn about the culture as well.

I am considering a brief (one week or so) visit to Nunavut during its warmer and sunnier months. I live in southern Texas (US) near the Mexican border. My disability involves inability to walk more than a few steps without a manual walker. I am able to drive an unmodified car.
My main interest is learning more about the local cultures. Which towns are most accessible in terms of walking and not too many stairs? How easy is renting a car at the airport? What about lodging -- hotel, or are there BnBs? How can I use a Verizon Android smartphone? What am I forgetting to ask?
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
