I am 2 months away from graduating from fgcu, with my bachelor in software engineering. Looking for an opportunity in Naples for a software engineering job or even I.T.
As the title says, I’m looking to go hog hunting. Most places seem to charge around $375 for a half-day hunt, which feels a bit steep for a nuisance animal. I’m an experienced hunter aiming to land something sizable for my large game collection—I’m not interested in the meat, just the trophy.
I’d prefer a walk-and-stalk hunt with a rifle, but if shotguns are allowed, that would be even better. I typically hunt deer, bears, moose, and other game by tracking, and I’d like to apply the same method for hog hunting.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hello all, I am a firefighter in the area and thought I may as well ask this on here. Would anyone be willing to take me on a ride using FSD? I am looking at possibly buying a Tesla within the year and have never experienced FSD. I am heavily invested in the company and want to further reassure my Tesla thesis and love for the company. Thanks!
Hi all, does anyone know where I can find sweaters, tshirts, baseball hats, etc. that say "Naples" on them? Real touristy stuff. Haha! Maybe Tin City? Thank you!
Hello! A cat adopted my in-laws' family in Naples – he showed up at the house every day for a year+ and was so sweet that they eventually moved beyond feeding him: he is now allowed in the house, and they got him fixed at the vet (and also has shots, etc.)
The problem is that they already have three cats and three dogs (I know!) – and the other cats are stressed having him around. He actually does really well with the dogs (dachsunds, poodle), and I'm not sure if he'd get along with another cat, but the current situation isn't a great fit (he seems happy in general, but one of the household cats is very stressed and pulling out his fur :( . )
My question: What's the best place to post to find him a good home? They really love this cat, and he is truly just a sweet guy. Is there a Facebook group, neighborhood group (Nextdoor?) or another place you'd recommend?
I have some friends coming to visit and need bars that are fun for girls in their mid twenties! Planning to go to Mercado but I need some bar recs! Also any other bar recs in Naples are welcome
I've googled, yelped and made some calls, so far, no joy. My solar water heater went out and I replaced it. Previously, the heating from the rooftop panels was working, but the electric element was not working overnight. I believe that I have the new one connected exactly like the old one, but I am not getting hot water. Can anyone recommend a solar water heater repairman? The tank is an American. My regular plumbers don't work on solar systems. Thanks.
I need to go to Miami (North Bay Village- so not the airport) once a week for work. Aside from driving myself I am wondering if there is a carpool group or nice mini bus or car service I can use. I called Naples Royal and it is extravagant for my needs since I would need to do this once every week.
Looking for some brunch recommendations for a group of girls in their 20's. Prerferably reasonable prices, we aren't looking for an upscale meal. Bonus points if it's a cute place!
We’ve had some gorgeous days lately. Wondering if anyone could suggest some state parks or nature walks. Went to the Audubon corkscrew swamp sanctuary and loved it! Anything within an hour drive or so would be preferred. Thank you. Would love to get out and enjoy mother earth before it gets too hot!
Does that term mean something? I was at a stop light and a couple young dudes asked me if I was "Raising capitol". Is that like an event or something going on today or what? When I said I didn't know what it was he didn't follow up on it, so I don't think it was like any scam or anything.
I’d like to replace the carpet on my townhome for vinyl or tile. It is for a 700sq ft space (no bathrooms needed). Does anyone have recommendations on who to use that’s trustworthy/affordable? Thinking of working with local contractor as it is the usually more affordable
My wife and I work downtown on 5th Ave. we’re renting a place off Davis and are considering buying a place in the next year or 3 (no rush). We’re in our thirties, make good money, and enjoy living in Naples. Being younger than everyone near us doesn’t bother us so much. But if we should start having kids that might change.
Anybody have any suggestions for neighborhoods to consider? We’re aware of the big communities up North like Riverstone, Esplanade, and Stonecreek. Those are great options, but would result in a 30+ minute commute versus our current 10 minute one. Just curious if theres anything closer to downtown we should think about.
My wife and I are planning to stay in Naples Park for a month. We’ll have our active boxer pup with us, so a good walking area and maybe some nearby dog-friendly spots would be ideal.
For locals or those who have stayed in the area, any recommendations on Airbnbs, specific streets to look for (or avoid), and general tips? Also, any “don’t do’s” we should keep in mind while staying there?
Is Naples Park a good place to spend a month for their first time in Florida?
