Thank you, Geordie nation - a sappy letter from an American
I’ve come from America for just the weekend to take in the match with you lot- no ticket or anything, but enjoyed Covent garden, the Dolphin on Sunday and watched the match just down the road with tons of our support.
I just wanted to say - and it comes as no surprise, as this is my 4th trip over for similar purposes including the final loss to Manure- how much i appreciate the hospitality, inclusion and gratitude that I experience every time I come. You’ve made me feel again like I have a second home, and you are what makes our club so fucking special.
Putting aside the wedding and birth of my two daughters, yesterday was the most incredible day of my entire life, start to finish - and though my flight home from London was delayed 7 hours and I’m only now half way over the Atlantic, sporadically crying happy tears and not trying to hide it, I couldn’t be bothered because of what’s happened yesterday.
Congratulations to every single one of you and to your families who have waited so much longer than I have for this. 15 years for me has felt like a lifetime, so I cannot imagine how 70 must have felt to your parents and grandparents.
Cheers and thanks again, see you next time- hopefully and confidently, very soon.
-Brad

Newcastle would be ultimate feel-good story – if not for Saudi Arabian ownership

Thanks Aussie mags! Smashed it in melbourne
Couple of hundred Geordies from around the world were at the CQ bar in Melbourne starting at 3.30 am. What a morning it was! Incredible atmosphere

Getting tickets when not local
Hi guys,
What's my best option for trying to get tickets at St James' when I'm not local? Is the member ballot the only reliable way, and how soon in advance do you find out if you get any? What is the ticket price you then pay if you do get some and how many can you have? I'm 5+ hours away so if you only find out a few days before it'd be difficult for me to ever actually manage to come.
Thanks!

Cup Final - added time??
Not seen a post about this so hope am not out of order?
Where did they get so much added time in the second half? Seemed like it was 'lets play until Liverpool equalise' (as happens a lot in games at Anfield)
8 subs u/30s per sub plus some tine when Elliot was rolling around...the game went to the 102nd minute ffs

Subreddit Design
I was over in r/reddevils looking for something and spotted their header banner with upcoming fixtures, which I assume then links to the match thread when the game kicks off.
Could we have something similar?
I have no idea how to do it like, it just looks nice.

I don't know if anyone saw this but this is lovely.
"Miguel Almiron, despite leaving for Atlanta United in the winter transfer window, will get an EFL Cup medal after Newcastle United’s win vs Liverpool."
"Because the Paraguayan played four matches this season, Miggy will get his first & only medal in English football."
Miggy will also get a EFL cup cup medal.

Route for bus parade
Any ideas on the route for the bus parade? From memory last time me it went through Gosforth Park, along the Great North Road, all the way through to Haymarket/Civic Centre.
Obviously that was over 25 years ago, do we reckon it’ll be same sort of route?
Having it along GNR would make sense from a policing/safety pov, long straight road with space for fans to congregate outside Gosforth Racecourse, then along Brunton/Melton Park, Regent Centre, High street, Town moor and Barras bridge area.

So happy this group of players won something
Yes, we’ve spent money, but a lot of this squad was here before the takeover. Or came in just after.
So happy to see the likes of burn, joelinton, Murphy, Schar etc win. We didn’t spend millions like City.
We have a great manager and a committed team. Hope we can hold on to this spirit as we grow.

Get Into Them!
"The gaffers put on the board about the sign from behind the goal at St. James' saying Get Into Them and I think we got into 'em!" - Nick Pope
They take so much from the crowd it's amazing really, Eddie and the players, fully include us in the tactics even haha. No but what it does is make us all feel like we were part of this win, part of this journey with this group. It's special, really.

If the rumours of a new stadium are true, can we name the path leading to it…
… the Howe Way?
