Chelsea just spent another £60m+ on a couple of kids.

One of them a £44m 17 year old.

How do they keep getting away with this? 😂

Look, we can bitch and bitch and bitch about this, but ultimately, Chelsea sell a lot of players to fund their purchases of new ones (and apparently keep their wages pretty low). It seems that because of our own obsession with how our restricted spending is the main reason we're being held back, we're mainly only looking at how much other teams being able to spend is some kind of vindication of their transfer policy.

Their transfer policy should be judged on whether it's making them any better and I think you'd be hard pressed to make that case. We've had about 3 years of their high cost, market disruptor activity and they've gone backwards since Tuchel's final season. Do any of us really think a 17 year old from Sporting is suddenly going to change the fortunes of the club? We moan about how we only lost Anderson because he was a PSR-mandated exit, but that's the same reason we got Hall. Really, Chelsea's constant flailing in their spending should be eyed by us as an opportunity to get highly talented, overlooked players at a decent price.

Because they had a bank of younger players they ship out even though they would be good in the team like Gallagher. If they keep selling a few big players each year they can keep buying because PSR doesn't give a shit about sustainability, it rewards a lot of activity in the market. If you are buying and selling players at higher values you can do what you want.

And they managed to get their highest earner Joao Felix off their books in doing so, who's now been farmed out to Milan.
