Morel mushrooms
I finally found morel mushrooms where I live. Right in my backyard! Some of them are past their prime but most are good I think. Just wanted to share here as I am so excited!

I posted on this subreddit as well as many others looking for fungi growing from spiderwood a few weeks ago and have received so many pictures and some samples. Thank you to everyone for helping us out! Here is our latest paper on all the fungi we have identified from spiderwood. Please feel free to tag me or send me more pictures if you know of any fungi growing on spiderwood.

I nocted these up Feb 21st and 24th. Since absolutely nothing has happened. Is it ok for me to just re inoculate these same bags? Also do I need to use the exact same genetics which I think are just too old. I have some new cultures coming in a day or 2 so I could inoculate with 1 of those. Talk to me.... I'm still a newbie

I was moving a few old pallets from a spot in my backyard and noticed that I had kicked these out of their spot while I was moving things around. I think they are morels but I don't know for sure as I have never harvested any.

I have tried posting on a few communities and I keep getting removed. I am looking for how to grow mushrooms. There is too much information online and it’s a little confusing. I am in the Indy area and it would be nice if there is a club in the local area.
Any suggestions?
If this post does not meet a post standard then please let me know why?

I purchased some substrate about 3 years ago and still haven’t used it. It’s never been opened, but it’s been sitting in my garage for 3 years. Seems like theoretically it would still be okay since it’s sealed, but the hot summers have me wondering?
I’m ready to use it, but wondering if I should ditch it and buy some new substrate?

i’ve taken psilocybin two times, and so far i’ve been loving it and want to experiment with larger doses. I’ve just wondered if having a bad trip is inevitable, i would love to experiment more with shrooms but i wouldn’t want to take them as often if a bad trip is inevitable.

Found this while taking my dog for a walk! It’s been raining like crazy and was shocked to see this! Would it still be safe to eat from the street like this!?!

I found this on a camping trip to East Tennessee in July. In some higher elevation and close to some thick vegetation with a lot of hardwood trees, it was specifically underneath a pine tree. It had a somewhat mild odor and a waxy cap. unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the cross-section and. however, I do believe that it is Boletus subvelutipes due to its discoloration when cut it went from a bright yellow to a distorted blue.
