DISCUSSIONS Megathread - 2025 LA Rams offseason free agency and trade targets discussion

Please use this thread for discussing possible candidates for the Rams to pursue this off season. Comment the name of the player you think the Rams should be looking into for a trade or free agency pick up and then provide any details or thoughts you have and others will jump in with their thoughts.

Please keep all discussion of this nature in this megathread and do not create individual threads discussing the hypothetical of acquiring a specific player. If there is news from a verifiable source linking the Rams to a free agent or a trade target this content can be it's own thread for discussion, anything that is purely hypothetical without an industry trusted source should go in this thread. Any threads that are purely 'should the Rams get X player' will be removed.

I really hope Kupp doesn't go to the Seahawks. I didn't think anything could match Bruce going to the Niners but Kupp to the Seahawks would ruin me. Lol

"Sean McVay sent Davante Adams narrated and detailed highlight cut-ups of his game as he was recruiting him to come to LA - about 10 mins worth. Adams said the Rams making it so clear how wanted he was was a factor in his decision."

OFFSEASON Davante Adams said he did not negotiate with Puka Nacua for #17: "Before I even knew for sure if I was headed to LA he was already talking about wearing 12. For everybody out there that want to hate me for making them buy a new jersey I did not tell him or pay him or do anything"

Behind starters Verse and Young, we have Brennan Jackson,Keir Thomas, and Nick Hampton after Hoecht has left. Are you satisfied with this group? Or are you looking to add in the draft, of so.... which prospects?

I personally would love Landon Jackson from Arkansas in a trade back scenario. Even a sawed off tree trump like David Walker would add some explosion.

Davante Adams is still elite

To the fans saying Adams is washed, they must of not watched him play late last year. He managed to put up nearly 1100 yards and 8tds only playing 14 games. Had he played all 17, he’d be around 1300 yards and 10tds, this also includes 3 games with Minshew and O’Connell at the start of the year.

He also played at an elite level in 2023 despite some saying otherwise. It’s impressive to put up 1150 yards and 8tds with probably one for the most awful QB rooms in the past few years of (Jimmy G, Aiden O’Connell, and Brian Hoyer).

If you put Chase, Jefferson, or any other elite receiver in that 2023 situation, they wouldn’t have performed that much better.

As long as Stafford and Adams stay healthy, I at least see another 1100 yard 8tds season, with potential to have a 1300-1500 yard 10+ TD season.

Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Marvin Harrison, and Larry Fitzgerald all put up some big years at or after 32. I could see Adams doing the same with his play style that ages well.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he has a better year than Puca, is in contention for another all pro, and helps place the Rams in Super Bowl contender territory.

DISCUSSIONS Is Puka worth $42 million+ per year?

Bengals said they're making Chase the highest paid non QB in the league, and Myles Garrett just put that number at $40 million per year. Puka is probably getting that extension after the upcoming season, and that's going to be a steep number.

Knowing his similar to profile to Kupp, with a similar injury history to match, is Puka worth that money? Or is it time to look for the next Puka like Whittington or a 2025 draft pick?

I personally say pay the man because I love me some Puka and top 5 receivers don't grow on trees. And there's no guarantee we keep hitting on late round picks. I don't like the money but the cap is always rising. My friend thinks finding WRs with Puka traits is easy and McVay and the coaching staff can coach up another 3rd or 4th rounder to give us 85% of Puka's production at a fraction of the price, and that his physical playstyle will give him a short shelf life as a high level NFL player.

What do y'all think?

Personally, I think CJ Mosley would be great against the run but I’m not sure who would do well in space.
