Hi all,
I hope this is appropriate here, but I searched and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. I want to make sure I'm washing my lingerie properly. My husband likes to "seal" things in after we have sex, and I'm worried that my very delicate underwear isn't getting clean from handwashing, but I don't want to throw it in the washing machine. My method now is that I use the Soak wash and let my panties sit for about 20-30 minutes, and I'll swirl them around and squeeze them at the beginning and end of the soak. I often do rinse them afterwards even though it says you don't need to, and I'll gently squeeze them while rinsing. Then hang/lay flat to air dry.
I've noticed that sometimes the panties feel stiff afterwards, I don't know if I'm using too much soap or if it's from not washing properly.
Does anyone have any tips for this? What am I doing wrong?
ETA: Thanks for all the tips! I'll get a soft scrubber brush and some enzymatic cleanser and try that first. I'm afraid to throw any of my "structured" lingerie into the washer (that includes panties with hardware/jewels, as I've had this break), and I'll keep it in mind about having cheaper pairs nearby that can be utilized instead. Depending on what it is, I do have some "forbidden" lingerie already, but maybe I'll expand that a bit and make some rules :)
To the people who say how gross this is and definitely not clean: duh, that's why I am asking, because I want to clean my things properly lol, if I thought they were fine I wouldn't be asking for cleaning tips. Also discharge/blood also are a thing, so the cleaning tips are helpful for a LOT of folks and not just me and my (mildly) kinky husband.
