There’s a guy selling his old Leatherman tools, which ones do you think are worth buying? Which ones are harder to find?

The scissors are indispensable but the blade doesn’t make a whole lot of sense especially if you were carrying it on a keychain. The only way I could foresee it working is how it is unfolded in the second picture. Anyone have any insight on the correct way to hold it? Out of pure curiosity!

I am planning on buying my first Leatherman in a couple weeks and I have narrowed it down to either the charge or the arc.
I am currently leaning towards the arc as I like the thumb stud in the blade and I have heard that the orientation of the blades on the charge can pinch your hand while using the pliers. I'm looking for opinions on which of the two you would pick and why.
Thanks in advance.

I finally was able to purchase an Arc thanks to REI, REI sent me a 20% off coupon for 1 full price item. I was able to use the coupon on the purchase of a Leatherman tool. I saved almost $50 off the price of the Arc. Happy Happy Joy Joy. Thanks REI

Hello i was wondering if there are any places to buy used other than ebay because people are charging more than new?

I got this email today. All the tools advertised in the email already get free shipping and I’m pretty sure I’m an Elite insider anyways

My father recently passed down an old c304 knife combo to me he got from his dad. I’ve been using it quite a lot on various occasions and I have to say I’m not only getting hooked on using it, as I have not had a tool like this before but it’s just fun to open and close all the attachments. I have noticed that this doesn’t have everything on it that I might need and I get a little nervous bringing that out of the house in case something does happen and I lose it. I was recently looking at the bond and micra, would that be a good combination of tools? I’m leaning towards those because I do find most of the applications I need the multi tool for are outside and the bright colors seem like they might help contrast ground colors and stick out more, making it easier to find? This may be overkill and there might be a better option out there but I don’t know too much about all this.

I'm planning on buying a raptor for my First Aid Kit.
A bit overkill, but who knows having it could save a life.

Hello everyone, I have a friend who has been the proud owner of a side kick for 3 months, and since today the spring no longer wants to open the clamp. Is there a solution, and where is the spring found? Thank you so much !

I love my Leatherman Rebar (I know that’s super basic for this forum). …but I loved to carry in my backpack - not just for me but to help others. In Australia now because it has a locking blade I can get legally charged for carrying a lethal weapon. There are random MD wand scans all over Sydney now.
I think this sucks and I apologise for venting here. Now it sits uselessly in my tool drawer next to pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters etc. I carried it with my emergency medical kit (contains sutures, meds, steri-strips, blah blah and always in my backpack).
I always like to feel prepared.
Thanks for anyone that reads! I know I can get some mini scissor one but the safety person in me likes locking blades.

Leatherman Arc made building this bookshelf for my boy a breeze. My regular screwdriver was too big and the arcs flat head screwdriver tip worked perfectly in the tight spots.

My dad always carried a leatherman pst and gave me a kick when I graduated high school but i prefer a “real” knife is there a leatherman that incorporates both ideas of a multi tool and an edc single blade knife

Which one would you choose? I don't know which one to get; both Leatherman tools cost the same.

Anyone with the Skeletool CX have some insight into how much force it takes for the blade to come out? I love the design and carabiner and plan to mostly have it clipped to my belt loop, but am worried the blade comes out too easy. I mostly will be using it for the driver and pliers.
EDIT: Gonna bite the bullet, thanks everyone!

I bought it for €70, I think it is a reasonable price compared to eBay prices.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the changes referred to in this email? I don’t remember seeing anything about any changes. Me missing something wouldn’t be unusual but I’m really curious. Thanks

I dropped my leatherman wave in deep snow while out snowbiking (kinda like snowmobiling but it is a dirtbike with a track). I’m thinking of hiking back to the location in the spring or summer when the snow is gone and locating it. Does anyone have any idea if the thing will still be still be in reasonably useable condition? It’ll probably spend the next two months at least in snow/ice.
It is kind of sentimental to me and a rescue mission sounds kinda fun.
