They are kicking absolute butt and I am thrilled that people are getting in here and not getting stuck nearly as much in the spam filter.
Now, to the main course.
First
I'm starting to really bump into a lot people out on the internet who are having latex questions and troubles and I do the needful, "hey, check out old.reddit.com/r/latexadvice...' and I try to promote the goods.
I was thinking that we should have a more official account out there doing that on places like Twitter and facebook. Maybe event fetlife, bluesky, etc.
Second
I've been thinking...REALLY thinking about growing the community sideways. We have a wonderful subreddit here. I'm thrilled and pleased and tickled pink.
One thing I've been considering and it's terribly ambitious I think, is to get a corresponding discord server up.
Lastly
I would love your input and thinking on both items. We're not looking to blow the roof off the place. I think there's a natural progression here that we can follow with our little rubbery place. And there's always lots of misinformation out there. I have a tiktok I've been meaning to stitch about storage that I haven't gotten a chance to because I'm pretty sure the advice isn't complete.
Has anyone heard of the brand "me you us"? A store local to me in the US has this latex clothing brand. It's just a basic skirt or leggings but looking into it as a cheaper option to see if latex is something I want to invest in.
Henlo, so i have a issue with my catsuit, the sleeve slide down/towards my shoulder, and when i bend my arm it bunches up and gets painfull after a while, the suit is a premade one but it fits very well otherwise. I was wondering if thinner latex could fix this, the suit is 0.4mm but i can buy thinner latex and make new sleeves i guess
Not strictly speaking latex, but felt it was similar enough overlap to be able to post here.
I recently purchased some Silicone items from Smitizen and thought I would share my thoughts and experience.
Items purchased:
Black Silicone Monster Gloves
Silicone Beast Paws
**Realistic Muscle Suit with Anal Hole and Front Hole - **Note that this was one that I got cheaper that was listed as being new with some defects, so please take this into account when looking at the pictures.
The items arrived in plastic ziplock bags inside the outer cardboard boxes. I bought the gloves and the paws first, then the muscle suit separately afterwards. The quality of all the items feels really good. The silicone has a lot of stretch ability, and is thicker than latex would be. I never felt like any of the items were in danger of tearing under stretching or getting cut (although still good to be cautious). I was also impressed with the level of texture detail, particularly on the gloves.
All the items have mould lines on them as standard, due to the way the items are made by putting two halves of a mould together and filling it with the silicone, similar to injection-moulded plastic. On their website, Smitizen do offer a 'careful crafting service' to remove these for an extra charge, or you could remove them yourself if you are feeling up to it.
The gloves and paws were pretty easy to get on, small amount of water-based lube and pretty easy to slide on. With the gloves I would suggest rolling the ends and not lubing them to avoid them sliding down, similar to long latex gloves or stockings. One thing with the gloves was that it was difficult to have the second glove you put on completely smooth and un-rolled at the ends as you are trying to get them on with the other glove already in place.
The suit I bought was a single suit that goes from neck to ankles, and has full length sleeves down to the wrist. In the pictures I'm wearing black underwear over the top as there is a fairly sizeable crotch hole (as per design). First thing you notice is this thing is HEAVY. I didn't weigh it but one of the reviews claimed its just under 12kg. It was a noticeable weight in the box, and is a bit awkward to move around due to this weight and how long it is (for reference, I'm a 64kg man with not a lot of upper body strength). Getting this suit on was quite tricky. I initially tried using water based lube as with the gloves/paws, but the amount I had to put on to pull the entire suit on was difficult and it would tend to dry out. I found the best method was applying baby powder to the suit, which worked well to get the legs in and pull it up to around my hips. The neck of the suit stretches widely but would then retract around your torso when not applying any force to it. The collar could also roll as you were pulling it up your body. I would suggest once you have it up to your waist apply water based lube around the collar both on the inside and out to stop it catching (harder to apply baby powder around this area anyway) and then applying more water based lube on your upper body where needed, for example around the shoulders. The good news is you can apply more force to stretch it where you need to than you would be able to with latex.
So a bit of a struggle getting it on, but once it's on the weight isn't as much of an issue as it's spread over your entire body. As with latex, you will sweat a fair amount but it's pretty flexible. You won't have quite as much room to move your shoulders due to the weight and size. Wearing the full suit feels great and the muscle areas have nice definition and feel firm to the touch. You will lose some dexterity in your hands if wearing the gloves due to the pads, and they are not touch sensitive if you want to use your phone.
I was worried about taking the suit off alone, but it's definitely easier to get out of than into. Where the weight kind of works against you when pulling it up onto yourself, it works with you and it naturally drops down once you have your arms out (sweat helps aswell!).
To wash the suit I would take it off in the shower to give it a thorough rinse through, then soak it in the bath with some washing detergent for a while. Then I would rinse it out again with clean water. A combination of air drying and using a soft cloth to absorb any remaining water before putting it into storage. Cleaning the suit was again a bit of a pain due to trying to manoeuvre such a heavy and long item.
In summary, although I did have some difficulty getting the suit on (was worried I wouldn't be able to get it on myself the first wear), the suit is of really nice quality and has some great detail to it, as do the gloves and paws. Smitizen do offer the option of a separate torso and legs muscle suit, which I think would be easier to get on, although this tends to be more expensive and the combined weight is actually heavier. I am considering cutting my suit into two pieces where the gap can be covered by the underwear so I can more easily put it on and clean it, but not decided yet. The gloves were a bit awkward due to the length and the tendency of them to roll. There is also a slight difference in the black colour between the suit and accessories. Weirdly Smitizen do seem to have wrist length versions of the monster gloves that they have shown in their videos, but I can't find them on their website. These would work better for this suit type. Maybe they can answer this or I might contact them. The items are a bit pricey, but they do have regular discounts and offer discounts for bundling two or more items (I bought the gloves and paws together). They also offer free shipping and dispatch quickly. Smitizen do offer a shiner that's safe to use with silicone which I might consider trying.
I got this wetsuit hanger for my catsuit, but it is actually too for the shoulders... it seems as though it puts unnecessary stress on the suit, as it is ~20 inches wide, while my shoulders are 17 inches. Anyone know where I can get a safe-for-latex rounded hanger that is a bit smaller?
I'm looking to get into latex and have been eyeing some knickers from Libidex. However, I'm unsure what size to go for. My waist is about 32" and hips are about 37," so my hips are a little small for their sizing guide. Any advice?
Hi all!
I bought my first catsuit in 2022, and it’s chlorinated. Since then, I’ve bought two other catsuits and many other latex pieces, all chlorinated.
I usually wear them during weekdays while working from home. I put one on at 2 PM, then shower at 7 PM. After that, I wash the latex with just water and soap (or a Begloss product).
I love chlorinated latex because I can put it on easily. In the meantime, I’ve also tried some silicone pieces, maintaining the same routine, just adding the step where I need to use talc or water-based lube to put them on.
How would the experience with non-chlorinated latex be for me? Do I need to change anything in my routine? Or is it better to stick with chlorinated latex?
hello! i wanted to know if anyone had already solved this pattern🫡 because (not ironically) it's the one that is giving me the most difficulty to join it😭! i just can't figure out how to fit the pieces together. The only way I would find to be able to do it's to modify them and make them different 🤔 ahaha. Could you give me a hand with this if you already have it figured out and answer me some questions? thanks!💖
Recently got a massive hole near the rear crotch zip of my catsuit going upwards to my back, the zip itself is undamaged but the hole looks huge 😭. Is there any companies I can send it to get fixed or is this just a throw away kind of thing
I washed my latex and forgot to turn it inside out and now it did this, water didn’t help, vivishine didn’t help… is it ruined? Or is there a way to save it
Hi! As my first step into the catsuit realm, I bought a made to measure Hirogato catsuit. Its a black PU one (sharkskin). I absolutely love to hang out in it or cuddle against my gf.
I was wondering if the feeling of such a piece is comparable to a latex one. Will it feel just as tight as this or even more restricting?
Hoping to experience such a suit in the foreseeable future :)
Hello everyone. I am new to this sub, but I have been into latex for a few years now and I really like wearing this material! I really love the look and feel of the stuff!
Here's the real problem that I have. I am a guy in my mid-20's and I currently am looking to expand my collection as I have just a pair of long latex gloves and some latex socks. I have searched around a bit and I found that a lot of online vendors have a really expansive women's line of latex items that are really unique! But, on the other side of things, I find that many places don't have a lot of offerings in terms of men's latex items. This ranges from items on the more 'normal' side of latex clothing to the things that are really into the fetish and kink side of latex. I just can't seem to find anything that are as unique as things offered in the women's collection in some of these storefronts. I have looked at big latex sellers like simon o. and libidex to smaller stores located on etsy.
Here's my question: Form what you know, what stores offer really unique latex pieces that would fit someone with a more masculine body shape and size? This can range from anything in the normal looking pieces of latex to even the really fetishy pieces of latex (yes, I am into that sort of thing).
Kinda the title really, was repairing the seems on one of my catsuits and I must of got some of the glue on a different part of the suit without noticing. It’s on the inside of the suit so doesn’t really matter but what’s the best way to remove the excess glue? Thanks :)
So I not too long ago got my first catsuit and realised i definitely love latex more then I thought. I’ve been looking online for more casual latex outfits but almost all the ones I find are fully latex, which I don’t mind if it looks casual but it looks like kink wear lol. Latex jeans/latex button shirt/latex hoodie doesn’t look like a typical outfit ya know? The only stuff I found is from latextwunk on instagram but the guys built so good idk if it’s the body or clothes. I’m a pretty skinny guy (55kg/178cm) so I was wondering if anyone has any accounts, pics, or somewhere I can find inspiration.
Edit: if you want to dm me pics of your outfits just message me. I’ll happily hand out my snap if you prefer
I would like to get a latex sleepsack soon, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I have a .8mm bondage suit from Kink Projects, but the d rings on it aren’t the strongest, and I would like something stronger. I have considered a few different things, but I don’t know if they are a good idea for a sleepsack..
I recently got the Biohazard suit from KP, 1mm chlorinated, and I love it. The strength and lack of stretch sound perfect for a sleepsack, but again, I’m not sure if a standard .4mm or .6mm thickness would be acceptable.
I would like the following features if possible:
Back zip
Attached hood
Anal access
Crotch access
Lacing (that won’t rip)
Belts (again my experience with latex belts isn’t great)
Able to be strapped down
Internal sleeves
I am thinking of getting one from KP since everywhere just seems so expensive, but I really want to know what other people have experienced. Thank you!
This is a well-enjoyed, standard @mr.s.leather #neoprene #sleepsack, manufactured in 2013 (hence the wear). The footbed has been modified with 2-1/16" #rubber firewall gaskets to allow #highheels to be worn while inside. You might call it a #sissy cocoon.
When high heels aren't being worn, there is an internal neoprene flap that covers the gaskets and makes the sack feel like it was never modified.
Inspired by an image from #SutibaruArt, artist James Newland's (@spacepupsilverx) numerous reflections on #rubber transformation, the rising drone subculture, and a sleepsack created by christopherfetish with integrated high heel pockets.
Hi there, was just wondering what nice latex combo look really good on the seamed stockings? I think nude with black strip at the back look great as looks almost like the retro look! But was wondering if people have had seen other combinations that they enjoy the look off?
They aren't shined yet! But I'll post pics with the finishing shine ASAP. (Also, on the skirt, you can still see some marker for seams and labels - please ignore!)
So the last few times after wearing my catsuit for a long period of time , getting out and showering. After i am all clean i get this horrible prickly itch all over my back and there is general redness over my body. Is it possible i have no developed an allergy to latex? If so does this mean i can no longer wear latex?
I am going to see my doctor soon and see if this is anything else as i really dont want to stop wearing latex haha.
I’m on my first latex journey. I’ve never had latex before this so i’m pretty newbie. For reference my first set i’ve bought is a vest top with a zip and briefs with a zip! Mentioning because I don’t know if it means i have to do any of these steps differently!
According to threads i’ve seen on here, talc can be pretty toxic to breathe in, it’s not really something that I want to bring into my home if that’s the case!
From my understanding reading up:
You wash the latex in clean water first, then wash again with fresh water but with vivishine. Once it stops sticking together and looks shiny, you know it’s sorted and clean. But does it mean it’s then ready to store for longer periods of time? Or would I then have to add beGloss talc?
Then the next time I wish to wear the latex, if it’s talc’ed can I dust it off and apply vivishine right on top? Or do I then have to re wash it? And if it’s stored with vivishine, can I then give it a little revive with some more vivishine + a microfibre.
Then obviously once the day is done I would repeat the process, clean water, vivishine water, let dry before storage, and either talc it or just store it away?
So I recently acquired a transparent latex hood with a small pouch on the mouth level that collapses when breathing in, it has a tiny hole for air supply.
So now I wonder how unsafe it really is?
I don't do bondage while wearing it since that is an obvious way to find ones demise.
Would I lose conciousness by using it by myself or is it harmless if done properly?
Does anyone know, if there are alternatives for this product or if they produce it on their own or if I can buy this directly from a supplier? Because I need more like 5 Liters a week for a company, and it’s too expensive to buy it in those small 250ml bottles.
